    Shawn Michaels cleaned himself up yet people always talk about him in his younger days, he quit drugs in 2001 and has been a good man ever since

      people have still said he was a dick after that. obviously idk the man so my opinion doesn’t matter and honestly i don’t really care whether he is or not but people like rvd and others have said he was still a jerk. except this time he used the cover of religion to hide behind. they’ve also said he was fake and not much had actually changed. but who knows. you’re not the perfect nice person you think you are in every one’s version of you in their head.

When the Rock started hittin his Prime during year 98 & 99 at the epitome of the Attitude Era Shawn was already retired from wrestling before making a miraculous comeback in 2002 when Rock was already on his way to Hollywood. They never had so much as a chance. Even during last years of Shawn in the 90s when Rock was a mid-carder hbk was busy & booked feuding Bret & Austin in the main events.

      There was more to the story once Rock joined the WWE. HBK and HHH tried to bury and bully him when he was a rookie back in 1997. Also, HBK was one of the biggest naysayers against Rock main eventing WM 15. Coupled with all that and the disrespect to his family, Rock for a time refused to work a match/feud with HBK. But it seems that they have made peace as of 2008 and beyond.

    • @Speedyreedy1218

      @@CCEkeke Wrong.
      HHH didn't try to bury Rock or anyone else. 1. He and Rock always got along well and were friends for years. Not bffs, but friends nonetheless.
      2. Rock was not a rookie in 97. He was a rookie in 96.
      3. Even if HHH wanted to bury someone then, he had ZERO power to do so. He was punished/buried for the Curtain Call and for four years wasn't allowed to ascend to the top.
      4. The heat was solely with Rock/HBK. Not HHH. But if you've read HBK'S book and DX's book, you'll learn HHH was dragged into a lot of HBK'S heat and drama solely by association because he was his friend.

    • @CCEkeke
      @CCEkeke Год назад +1

      @@Speedyreedy1218 Wrong.
      Rock debuted in Survivor Series November 1996, which means most of 1997 was his rookie year.
      Rock and Hunter were not friends when the former joined the WWE. They had a very competitive relationship and could work together but weren't friends. In HHH's own words, "we got along, but we didn't get along."
      HHH and HBK were sitting in on creative meetings back in 1997. This was confirmed by Stephanie McMahon and other wrestlers. Alot of Hunter's stroke early in his career came from his friendship with The Kliq and then later HBK before he became the leader of DX back in 1998.
      Jericho (who said the Rock told him this) and other wrestlers confirmed that HBK (mainly) and HHH hazed Rock during his rookie year.
      Also, HBK's book contains a number of discrepancies that have since been debunked. l so I wouldn't trust that as a source for much of HBK's admissions of guilt.

    • @Speedyreedy1218
      @Speedyreedy1218 Год назад

      @@CCEkeke
      Nope.
      They literally have said multiple times they were friends and got along. Rock said it in HHH'S 25th anniversary tribute and HHH said so in his book.
      Do not misunderstand a competitive rivalry to be synonymous with hatred. Peyton, Brees, Brady were all rivals. Competition breeds success and makes the bond deeper. Chasing the same things at the same time doesn't mean you loathe someone.
      Many disgruntled former talent say negative things about HHH and HBK because they're Kliq members and hate them. You can draw a laundry list of people who allege things on them because their career didn't end the way they wanted it to, or thought it should.
      Many go on to later reveal in these "shoots" (that they were paid to do to push a narrative) that they were in a bad place emotionally, with addictions, jealousy, etc and have regretted statements they made and reconciled with HHH, HBK, and WWE at large (Warrior, Goldberg, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn, Steiner, so on and so on).
      Similarly, there's others who've had positive things to say about them (Justin Credible, DDP, Disco Inferno, Russo, Mero, Ahmed Johnson, Farooq, Undertaker, Austin, Angle, Trish Stratus, Malenko, Flair, Steamboat, Arn Anderson).
      When HBK "lost his smile" in 97 and relinquished the title for his knee injury (which turned out to be both for the knee injury and drug rehab), Vince was down and worried about a ratings dip. He wanted something big on that Raw. HHH was asked by Vince to drop the IC title to Rock and he had no problem doing it.
      He didn't try to wormhole around it and have a buddy beat him for it like how HBK did with Razor or Diesel. He straight up put Rock over without hesitation when Vince asked him to do the job.
      That was the beginning of Vince realizing HHH was the reliable, professional, dedicated, responsible true leader of the Kliq (behind closed doors) despite the others having the bigger reputation and profile on camera.
