hi thankyou for sharing , can i know the parameters for reflective yellow metal(not gold) , in the begining S 800, P 90,F 10 was working for that material but when done repetetively , the laser is not able to mark can u share some tips or parameters for a 20 w fiber laser marking machine

You can convert TO ezd files, but not FROM them unfortunately.

When I save a parameter, draw up a new object, and select that parameter from the library, the pen in the parameters window does not change from Default. Am I missing a step?
Hmm. Doesn't sound like you're missing anything but its hard to tell without watching you do it. You could either upload a short screen capture video to the Discord server or watch one of my other tutorials where I'm changing settings and follow me as I do it to make sure you aren't missing a step.
After signing up for the annual would I get a set of parameters or would it still be one parameter a week? I have the Raycus 50w and very new to fiber lasers and want to try different things and settings.

@@LaserEverything After I installed Windows and saved all grades related to gold cutting and engraving in the program, but now when I work with the machine, I feel that the machine is working weaker than before, which means that the cutting power of the machine has decreased greatly. I previously set the speed to 200 and the power to 100. The frequency is also 50. My device is 50 watts. In your opinion, where is the problem with the device? @@LaserEverything With the speed and power coordinates that I said, it used to cut a 50 micron sheet with 12 revolutions. But now with the same coordinates, it cuts the same sheet with 30 revolutions.

We currently don't sell parameters, but we do have a free pack of starting ones as well as a a community sharing area where everyone can share their personally tested ones. Check out our site and you can just grab them and adjust as needed :)
The monitor screen is small and 'select parameters from library ' is no where In screen. How to access that option?
you can drag the entire "Mark Parameter" box out of the side panel so it isn't constrained in the little window and then make it bigger to see all of the options.

My question ...I've saved once but is it true that when you when you click save Ezcad only saves that pen colour ?
And how do you match that to a hatch setting?
Ah yes, this would have been good to cover in the video - I'll have to make a follow up. Basically nothing about saving parameters has anything to do with pen colors when working with the library. The parameter is only going to apply to the pen color you've selected in the top right corner. When selecting a pen you want to select the pen from the row of square colors, *not the list*. The list is for reference only. So if you click black, then load the default parameter then click blue and load the favorite parameter - all black will use default all blue will use favorite. Finally, if you use the Current Param Save As function it's going to save whatever color you last selected. If blue in this instance was the last thing you clicked that would be the color saved to the setting. Once saved that parameter could be applied to any color pen - for instance you can click the yellow pen now, uncheck default then select a new param from the list and hit ok and it will apply that saved param to the yellow pen.
It's also worth noting that saving your EZCAD project as a .ezd file will save the pens in their current state, whether or not they were saved to the library.
Long story short pens and parameters are completely separate things. You DO have the option to apply a param to a pen but that pen should not be treated as a save bank for that parameter because every time you open a new project those pen colors are reset to default.

Sorry for the long winded explaination. I hope that helps. If my response is confusing I will clear it up in the next video!

Should be fine, just want to reduce your power a little bit since you're using a higher wattage machine.

Dark colors can be marked decently on the fiber, but it can not be cut.

You're unlikely to get a gold color on steel tumblers without a lot of work or some kind of catalyst. Our parameter library is available by supporting the channel via the laser master academy (there's a link in the description) but we don't currently have a preset for that specific use.

You can only save hatch settings in EZCAD3 - a few people on the Discord server have discussed it and know how to do it - I'd ask around there. Unfortunately I only have access to EZCAD2 at the moment so I'm unable to make a video on that topic.

Parameters vs pens? Help please
Parameters are the settings for the current pen. The default is black. If you have a black square and a blue square you can set the two pen colors to mark with different parameters in the same run. Pens just allow you to do that.
