- WE MADE IT it's been a wild six month long journey leading to the longest runtime of any Game Grumps series ever but the compilation for the sixth and final chapter of Danganrubbles is finally here! l If only we had found out about what Kyoko said about the boys bathroom on the second floor =(

Now that we know the big twist, I can see why the world fell to despair when their ideal figures of hope include a fortune teller, a gambler, and the guy who wrote Sonic's Ultimate Harem.

14:05 I love how Arin laughs out an "Alright, fine" after Monokuma pokes at them for not checking the hatch and then saying it wouldn't have opened anyway-- it's such a great little snapshot of his enjoyment of the series, being so frustrated with its obtuseness and moon logic but genuinely amused by its audacity and absurdity
Arin enjoys this series the way people enjoy like dad jokes
I don't remember how SDR2 handles this "dialogue repeating" issue, but I can say that they definitely improved the "Why don't you tell them, Protagonist" aspect to the game

It wasn’t as much of a flaw like they made it out to be. The characters literally needed to lead Makoto as a corroborating source, as just saying stuff followed by “Right Makoto?” would’ve led to no real corroboration. This is subtly done in real formal debates or trials occasionally, and the only 2 who do it would be people knowledgeable about that approach. They dial it back a lot for the future games tho, as Byakuya and Kyoko were the only ones propping up that approach here usually

The method of junko's death really calls into question the events of Danganronpa 2. Not much left of her for the kids to steal.

True, and the theory that they stole from Mukuro’s body makes no sense either. The Killing Game was being broadcasted on multiple channels internationally, so it stands to reason that the Ultimate Despair watched it too. They’d want to see Junko’s handiwork, especially since they wouldn’t have been able to see her at all for over a year since Hope’s Peak Academy was unable to be breached.
Even if you argue that they didn’t watch it and therefore believed Mukuro’s corpse to be Junko’s, there’s still the issue of Mukuro’s body being unrecognizable aside from her fake Junko nails. Maybe that fooled the Ultimate Despair? But even so, they’d also see the Fenrir Tattoo and I’d assume some of them would have been smart enough to know what it was and who it belonged to.
Then again, you could argue that we don’t actually know how Junko was killed. We see her going through all of the prior executions, and she somehow survived all of them. This is legit impossible, so you could argue that Junko’s execution in-world was much less poetic than what we see in-game. Maybe she underwent a different execution designed for her, or maybe she died during the Baseball execution and therefore couldn’t trigger the others?
My headcanon is that Junko died in the second or third execution and her body was just breaking down in each part so they harvested her body that way
Just realized their playthrough of the first game ends with jokes about Makoto having a big peen and the second ends with jokes about Hajime having a small one. It all came full circle
Well of course. Makoto is the true Ultimate Hope whereas Hajime is the artificial Ultimate Hope. He uses performance enhancers and pills😤

@@AkameGaKillfan777 You're not wrong, but when he mentioned seeing if the Key works on the garbage dump door, she agrees with an air of 'you're right, that might work', implying she might not have thought of it. Granted, it SHOULD work, but Junko could easily be cruel enough to make it unlock everything except where nearly-killed classmates end up.
she got in by falling down the garbage chute, and I don't think she expected a locked dungeon door in an underground dumpster
I always found the choice of survivors weird. Main character, sure, ultimate detective, she was pretty much the love interest so 50/50. But if you were to tell me the man who calls himself the ultimate clairvoyant makes it out in the end, I’d think you were as high as he is.

It’s funny because almost all of the survivors in DR2 were characters I expected to die at one point
@@LeoMarciana DR2 survivors were the ultimate example of "survivors", just completely cobbled together just because they happened to survive by happenstance. Closest thing to a theming was how so many of them were the surviving half of a couple/pair.
@@hppern3971 and then you hit V3 which somehow jumps the Monokuma by Danganronpa standards, and if you told me who actually survived based off the initial 16, I think I’d only have gotten one of them right, and not in the role I expected. Granted, I think V3 also has the most opportunities for characters to shine and not just be disposable killing game fodder. (2’s still my fav though, too many characters I love)
I honestly think it makes it more interesting, not like I was happy with who all lived but it makes the game more interesting. Same with the second game, I would’ve never ever 100% ever thought *not saying the whole name I’ll just say his last name starts with S* would’ve lived

Thank you for these compilations, I absolutely love Danganronpa but this first game has the worst writing mostly due to it being repetitive. I respect everyone who didn’t like watching this series mostly due to how long it was and that its not everyone’s thing.
The only thing I hated was the amount of people hating on Arin, it was hard to read all these comments from people who talk about how they hate how much commentary there is... on a game commentary channel
It...it was kinda stupid,not only the people hating on Arin was puting the game in a pedestal as if it was the epitome of subtlety and detail besides his extreme repetitive dialoge and stupid moments,not only they subjected themselves to a playtrough that they KNEW was going to be long as hell,but they also knew this is more a comedic commetary channel than a pro gaming channel(for fucksake,this channel is like seven years old already,you have to know how it's like),it was like a bunch of pissed masochist purposefuly subjecting themsekves to something they knew will frustrate them and friggin' waisting their own damn time!And the funniest part is...Arin doesn't read the comments(I think)!
@@AkameGaKillfan777 I can see why you would say that... but it’s a matter of opinion. Personally I found all the comments funny and enjoyed watching them play it. But, I can see why it wouldn’t be fun for most, especially since I haven’t seen anyone else play the game while commentating. When I got into this game a few years ago in 7th grade I watched a no commentary version of both the first and second game so my opinion may be twisted.

@@AkameGaKillfan777 And that's the problem right there...why do people expect that from a channel (ok,just Arin)wich main content is making fun of a game or raging against it?This isn't new,it's almos literally the channel modus operandy :play,Arin doesn't play as expected by both the audience and the game,gets frustated(or acts like he does),people gets frustated at him,Dan balances the commentary with more jokes or laughing his ass off at Arin self fed grumpiness and sometimes,not always,completing a playtrough(other thing people enjoy is hem exchanging stories while playing,but that's a plus). Yes,they do enjoy some games,but the motto is Arin being a grump and Danny being not so grump at the game,it's the tagline of the channel for a reason!At this point expecting Arin's opinion to be funded on something and being respectful at the game is like expecting a mockumentary to be educational.
They tell you how the show works at the begining of each video.It can get old of course,hell,I didn't watch the first half of the series because of how fucking slow it was...but hey,that's why I watch the compilations.

When Dan predicts something, it's because he's got the 70% psychic ability Hiro lacks. When Arin predicts something, it's becaue he accidentally spoiled himself by reading the walkthrough.
No, he just has really good intuition.
A classic example of RUclips telephone lol you literally linked to when Arin says it amd Dan misinterprets his question and then corrects him - with the wrong answer.

the absolute awe that Dan felt when Crazy Eddie was mentioned gets me every time
Love love love that these compilations cover the plot stuff as well as the jokes, makes it a great way to rewatch the whole series quickly
The more Yasuhiro talks, the more I question why he was a "prodigy" (or as Arin would say, "progidy") that needed to be sheltered for the sake of humanity's survival. They literally spent part of a class trial convincing him that Kyoto, who was at the trial, was alive and not a ghost.
Because, as dumb as he is, his fortune telling (you know, his actual Ultimate ability) does have a remarkably high success rate. He even predicts the alternate ending of the game. I'd guess such a skill could be useful in guiding the remnants of humanity. I'd question the likes of Toko or Hifumi being included before questioning him. In any case, it seemed like they just chose a class, rather than hand picking a group from all the classes, perhaps to make use of the unity, camaraderie, and relationships already present within the class (or, you know, because varied cast members).

It’s because they were the only ones supposedly considered alive. They probably wanted as many people as possible. Also Hiro’s talent does have a rly low success rate but it is a very big asset if it does work. He is stupid tho

How he runs in with stupid conclusions, takes fortune telling very seriously and claims it isn't occult, his ridiculous stories, and the _amazing_ hair.
He's a comedic relief character, and I can appreciate him for that.

Watching these two confuse the headmaster and mastermind for several episodes was an ordeal lol
The game legit leads you to make the connection, with the revelation that the Headmaster ordered Hope’s Peak Academy to be made into a shelter in Chapter 3, to the revelation afterwards that the Headmaster’s Office was one of the only places the students weren’t allowed into.
Monokuma even introduces himself as the Headmaster of the school.

That 42 hours you showed as their playtime goes to show how long speaking out lines lengthens a game. Took me 25 hours while doing all of the free time events. Which is still long and it was awesome. That shit added like double the time for them thats wild

no one in game wants to say it, and the Grumps completely didn't get it, but the way you tell the twins apart is by their boobs. that's why, as twins, they look identical but Mukuro still had to come up with a lie as to why she and cover girl Junko don't look exactly the same.

I question if what was outside even matched up with what Junko showed the surviving students, and wasn't just the world they remembered. Given the level of tech in the locked rooms, faking a few still images seems more than feasible, and she was deceiving them from the get-go to begin with.
You do make an excellent point....which I won't elaborate on, as it appears you don't know anything about the sequels.
@@wittyreviewer A fair point, I haven't played the ones after it, so it's entirely possible it's actually a un-bear-able hellscape out there, but given how isolated they were, plus 2 years of memories gone, whatever Junko showed them would have been literally the only info they had to go on, whether it was real or not.
Given what you said, I'm guessing it was the truth, but given how much the students lied or forged evidence (and how much Junko herself did that to them, like with Sakura's note), it's surprising that the idea of 'what if those images are fake' wasn't mentioned.

Junko originally wore those hair pins, her despair and hope bear pins were only worn after she caused the most horrible despair inducing event or whatever, even in the prequel anime she wears them when she's out in public but when she's being an antagonist she wears the bear pins

The most realistic and also devastating part of danger grandpa is that the response to Junko’s scheming wasn’t a jump cut to the entire school beating her up.
