FFD, that thing is bigger than the luggage I take with me for a weekend trip somewhere; it looks big on your six-foot-a-million frame‼ Sling packs are AWESOME, after moving through the hip pack, lanyard, and vest phases (yeah, we all need to figure out and fish what works for each of us...) I personally remove my dry fly boxes, floatant, etc. during the winter months, so I'm not carrying what I won't use for the day. ☮ from North Idaho.
I love my sling pack. I bought the Orvis sling pack because it is a bit smaller and was on sale. But, now I understand sling packs. I will never go back.
I love my hip pack and have a sling pack that I got for a Christmas Island trip and haven't used since. After my Idaho trout trip last summer the sling pack is definitely getting used on long hike and wade trips from here on. It is just so much easier to pack water, lunch, and extra gear in the sling and way more user friendly than a backpack.
I have always used a chest pack, but I finally found the one I wanted but sometimes its too big and I can see my feet. I have a Fishpond sling pack to try out but I have my eye on the Simms free stone. This has been my biggest task lately, finding the right pack for all my shit LOL. Thanks for the great view of the Freestone!
Fishpond has some awesome packs, I just got the guide hip pack. The verdict is still out on it. It’s big and holds all my stuff, the issue is getting these things setup so that they work for the way you fish. Thanks

I am a pack w_______...I'll admit it

They are pretty great for sure. Same, I'll never use anything else (unless I'm back-packing in)

Finding the right pack can be a tough task, but once you find the one, it makes all the difference!
Love the sling packs. That one is definitely a great one. My orvis one is s little small for as much as I take with me
Yeah, you need a little more room sometimes!

My word Dan, as we who follow you know, you carry everything except the kitchen sink!!!!!!! Thank you for the review.
It's amazing how much you can pack into a sling pack!
Thanks! Would LOVE to find a sling pack with a sleeve for a hydration bladder……let me know if you see/find one!!!
I just ordered a pack from fishpond. Looking forward in trying it out.
I'd be interested to hear how the Fishpond works out for you, let me know! Thanks Ronald
@@FlyFishDan I will-I went with the Summit 2.0 sling pack.
Dan, are you a pack rat. Better to have than not have.
@@KE7NKF Crazy thing is, I've actually scaled down after busting the zipper on my last pack from over stuffing...Lol
Now i know what to get my Brother when he fishes Kings Canyon. Thanks Dan!
Awesome, he'll love that!
Not sure if this is a review or an Easter egg hunt.
Did you actually say Viagra? I’m gonna have to backtrack that and listen again , peace out, Holmes.
😂😂😂
I think he meant Fly Agra….but maybe not. When the wings on your dry fly don’t stand straight up that’s erectile dysfunction.
Ha! 'Fly'-Agra, best flotant out there today :))
Lol - exactly...good stuff!
Dry shake and what???!! 😅
'Fly'- Agra...Lol
Its not a pack, it’s accordion
However, I am unable to carry a tune with this sling pack...my apologies
