You loosened the nut, but didn't re-tightened it in the end, that's a major omission for a tutorial! Anyway thanks for the tips, it helped me solve the creaking sound on my scooter. I'm going to add a 4mm allen key, a 10 spanner and an extra lock to my emergency kit, because I already see mine is a tiny little worn out and that's probably the reason why it started creaking. I try to always ride on smooth surfaces even if I have to take a longer route, but there's always that bad patch of road that can't be avoided...

Hey hope you can help me explain but for this part 10:04 how there is the front but where the bolts are and there is a line separating the top and bottom yea well my one is uneven and idk how to fix it Edit: just where you are pointing at
Hi Slavic. It’s a not an important adjustment but I think it is best when there is a similar gap on both sides to avoid stress. All you do is position it center with your hand like I show in the video. Then pull up the latch to secure the stem. I would suggest getting X-lock for added support. I done a video on that installation 🛴
Hey mate i got 2 questions. For the main screw that controls the steering angle in the middle, mine is super tight and doesn’t want to move at all. Is this a problem? I didn’t want to force it so i just left it as it is. And for the nut that goes up and down, i can screw until its tight then it pretty much can’t be tightened anymore. Should it be left a little bit loose or tight enough without applying lots of force?
Great video tho! My latch seemed quite tight and had to put quite a big of energy to put it up. I also have a creaking sound, will have a ride tonight and see whether the sound is gone
@@keeaan6895 main screw in the middle is only for steering alignment or when fitting suspension. The nut you can leave just a little bit loose (literally a hair) Also some people apply silicone spray where the folding mechanism meets. I spray some on my finger and rub around. I would consider the X-lock for added support. I done a video on that.
So I’ve adjusted the folding mechanism perfectly, lubricated the mechanism and all on my 1s. Now i’ve bought the dampeners but they don’t even fit. It should make a click and fit into place when i put the stem up but it doesn’t and then unable to close the latch. Can’t seem to get rid of the creaking noise at all, it just keeps coming back. Feel like bringing the scooter back via guarantee
Hey man, mine was bumped into a fence while I was on holiday by my brother and now it requires a lot more effort to turn it left and right, why is it so stiff??
There's no need to disassemble and adjust the whole thing, can just either use the silicon damper pad on that place or use some wd-40 lube it will stop creaking immediately.
I don’t disassemble anything, simply adjust and will take just a couple of minutes. Like I mention, the silicone dampers are used as a last resort and WD-40 definitely ain’t the best. Silicone lubricant is. My solution? Adjust first like in this video, then simply buy the X-lock (made a video on that) Problem solved.
Hi Jamie More than likely the middle bolt (located in the middle when you fold the handlebars) is too tight. Loosen that a really small bit until you are happy. Don’t loosen it too much as this aligns your steering and pulls the bearings together ⚡️
@@Movelectrics thanks for the reply love your vids one last question if you can help me that locking bit at the front when my handles bars are lines up straight and my wheel also straight and look down from handle bars I look at the reflector and the lock bit is to one side is this normal if you get what I mean so handle bars and wheel bang on straight but the latch is to one side frome the front reflector
Never mind the reflector. Once everything lines up don’t worry. The latch that has the small screw doesn’t sit 100% straight unless you hold it with your hand when pulling up the black lever. Nothing really to worry about ⚡️
My folding mechansim makes a clicking noise everytime i go over any bumps i tried adjusting things e.g making the fold tighter so it locks better and doing the allingment of the stem. Nothing seems to work, is there a solution to this problem? Please help!
Check all the nuts and screws. Personally, you will get rattles every now and then. Once everything is tight, don’t worry about it. You can if you want, post a video on my FB group so i can have a look to at the scooter making this sound bit.ly/2NMeXIY
Mine started creaking/clicking all the time after about 100-200km, also there's another squeaking noise when going over bumps, I couldn't hear it properly due to the clicking sounds. I tried adjusting the bolt like in the video but it didn't help (even when I tightened it so hard that I could barely lock it). Since it's still under warranty I ended up going to the store, they applied some spray (probably silicone lube) and it stopped the clicking sounds. But now I can clearly hear the squeaking sounds when going over bumps - it's high pitched noise - I can't pinpoint where it's coming from, I'm not even sure it comes from the locking mechanism. I'll try to see if I can video it somehow and maybe call the store. Do you have any suggestions?
@@xellostube adjust as you see in the photo. Plus you can also rub a small bit of silicone spray between the folding mechanism meeting points or some people use black insulation tape.
Would using a threadlocker on the bolts solve this issue more permenantly ? I get these creaking sounds after every 100kms, even after tightning as described..
Hi. No. It’s very common and the only way it can be really prevented is by fitting an X-lock. I done a video on that installation. The creaking/wobbling is caused by the rider pulling/pushing on the handlebars while riding. You have a few other options however if you don’t want the X-lock People use the rubber dampers (In my opinion, these are a last resort) Some people have just used tape in between the folding mechanism. Just type in (Xiaomi M365 creaking on RUclips and you will see their videos) What I have tried and works well also is, after you adjust everything like I do in this video, you can then apply silicone spray with your finger. Just rub it around the edges of the clamp.
Hi Nemanja. I have never used the rubber dampers because I adjust it to stop the creaking/wobbling of the stem. You only need the dampers if the damage is already done. I saw people holding them in place with tape. I would suggest investing in the X-lock for added support, I done the video on that installation and it’s brilliant.
@@Movelectrics it is on place, but when I do the thing with my hand on 6:55 it just pops out on the sides like it's slime but it's just rubber damper The x-lock looks cool but I don't have money to spend on it and it's a lot of work 🥴
I’d like to see exactly what’s happening. Can you post the video here and we can help tiny.cc/eiktqz The X-lock takes 10 minutes to fit and is great. Avoiding stem issues is very important.
My 365 pro 2 snapped in half while i was riding it. It wasn't even 1 year old. Buy a proper one with big wheels and suspension cheaping out on these can get you seriously injured or worse.
I disagree. Xiaomi are good quality but people think they can go off curbs, pull/push on the handlebars using their weight. Lack of maintenance and tightening contributes big time. Also I would suggest getting an X-lock as an addition for stem support. Made a video on this.
My mates Xiaomi Pro 2's handlebar is bent due to a accident he was involved with while being side-tracked. Anyone here know where to buy a spare Xiaomi handle bar or how to bend the handlebar back to place?

Heyo, my xiaomi e-scooter has been having this problem recently, but the model that you have looks different because you have a locking mechanisim on yours, but my e-scooter is just "clip up". No locking. I'm a bit worried that if i follow the instructions in the video it might not apply to my escooter, and damage it. Should I be worried about it being different?🛴
Hi! I’m assuming you have Pro2? Only difference is the latch area where it clips up. Same adjustments apply like in this video. If it’s not addressed, you risk damaging the stem as time goes on and you will need to buy the dampers. Also, you could use silicone spray and apply a small bit where the stem meets ⚡️
@@Movelectrics (thanks for responding fast) Well it's only like 2 weeks old but there isn't a lock for the latch, so it just goes up. I'm assuming that it doesn't change much, but i'm kinda worried about doing it because i've never done anything on the scooter, and since it's different i don't want to damage it. Does having the different model change much?

ThaNk You, you helped me out....I still had a tiny bit of play but Nothing like it was....I'm going to Order the shims that should make it perfect
Hi Kamp! Good job! Don’t use the shims, they are a last resort if too much damage has being done. Don’t pull or push on the stem while riding. The X-lock is brilliant, it can reinforce that whole area. I done a video on it 🛴
@@Movelectrics Yes I am going to pick one p but besides look good what do they do.....???
@@Movelectrics What about Doubling the Battery Capacity ??? I have not seen any Videos from you about that
I’m quite happy with the range, I plan on possibly reinforcing the controller in the future 🛴

your scooter is beautiful with all those red bits on it mate. where can i buy it?
Hi Daniel! My latest video actually goes through all the upgrades and the links are in that video description to buy them. Here is the video if you want to watch ruclips.net/video/AGOoGUKYrNk/видео.html
Can you help me? When i touch the front bolt, the long thing between the bolt and the clock nut (minute 4:39 ) Would not turn with it. I have the Xiaomi Pro 2 with the new folding mechanism where you just pull up without turning the plastic thing around the stem
Loosen the lock nut first ⚡️
@@Movelectrics Yeah but even after loosening it the rotating part would still not come down
Did you try turn the turning that part with a 10mm spanner? Try a small bit of WD40 also.
@@Movelectrics i will try to turn that separately with a 10 mm spanner then
@@Movelectrics Just came back home after a test ride, you are such a lifesaver man.... My scooter is finally silent again!! Greetings from Italy!
great video🙂
Cheers man ⚡️
Hey hope you can help me explain but for this part 10:04 how there is the front but where the bolts are and there is a line separating the top and bottom yea well my one is uneven and idk how to fix it
Edit: just where you are pointing at
Hi Slavic. It’s a not an important adjustment but I think it is best when there is a similar gap on both sides to avoid stress.
All you do is position it center with your hand like I show in the video. Then pull up the latch to secure the stem. I would suggest getting X-lock for added support. I done a video on that installation 🛴
@@Movelectrics ok thanks

Glad it helped 👊🏼
It worked.
Happy days
Thanks man I needed this video! 👌
No worries! I had to adjust mine just after 100km! All good now👌🏻

Thanks very much for the support! I’m after upgrading the scoot today, wait for that video! Probably the best upgrade yet!

The nut you can leave just a little bit loose (literally a hair)
Also some people apply silicone spray where the folding mechanism meets. I spray some on my finger and rub around.
I would consider the X-lock for added support. I done a video on that.
I’ll have a look at that x-lock. Thanks for the info man! I appreciate the fast reply as well. Great content creater, keep it going 💪
@@keeaan6895 thank you for the support 👊🏼
So I’ve adjusted the folding mechanism perfectly, lubricated the mechanism and all on my 1s. Now i’ve bought the dampeners but they don’t even fit. It should make a click and fit into place when i put the stem up but it doesn’t and then unable to close the latch. Can’t seem to get rid of the creaking noise at all, it just keeps coming back. Feel like bringing the scooter back via guarantee
Is the first adjustment recommended for xiaomi pro 2 ? Even if it's not creaking? Like can I do it to prevent the creaking sound ?
If there is no creaking sound/wobble, then leave it alone for now 👍
@@Movelectrics Ok man. Thanks
Thanks
No problem ⚡️
Hey man, mine was bumped into a fence while I was on holiday by my brother and now it requires a lot more effort to turn it left and right, why is it so stiff??
Hard to say. Would require it to be disassembled. Bearings could be damaged for example.
@@Movelectrics where would i go for that?
There's no need to disassemble and adjust the whole thing, can just either use the silicon damper pad on that place or use some wd-40 lube it will stop creaking immediately.
I don’t disassemble anything, simply adjust and will take just a couple of minutes.
Like I mention, the silicone dampers are used as a last resort and WD-40 definitely ain’t the best. Silicone lubricant is.
My solution? Adjust first like in this video, then simply buy the X-lock (made a video on that)
Problem solved.
Does this work for a xiaomi essential
Yes it does ⚡️
Hi just wondering if you can help me just got the xiaomi s1 the steering feels stiff what do I need to lose to sort this out
Hi Jamie
More than likely the middle bolt (located in the middle when you fold the handlebars) is too tight.
Hey, i sent the video on messenger
Thanks for the reply
Ok I will have a look ⚡️
Thanks so useful
Glad it was helpful!
The X-lock is a good investment to strengthen the stem, very easy to install.
Plz reply do you need how to fix my handlebar because I fell now it turns all the way around

Hi! Can you pose a video to my FB group so I can see exactly what happened? bit.ly/2NMeXIY
Ok will do tomorrow
@@Movelectrics trying to join its pending
Just accepted ⚡️
More than likely they applied silicone spray where the folding mechanism meets.
Post a video on my FB group if possible about the noise bit.ly/2NMeXIY
Do these methods also apply to the xiaomi 1s scooter
Hi! Yes absolutely! They are all the same 🛴
Hi mate how do I check how many miles I have done on my xiaomi Pro 2
Hi Luke. Use an app. There are many for Android and iOS 🛴
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No problem Taky! ⚡️
When i get stuck in rain with my xiaomi scooter the bar does not make crackling sound but when its dry it makes
Adjust like you see in this video. Also you can rub some silicone spray with your finger between the folding mechanism.
mine keeps squeaking... any solution?
@@xellostube adjust as you see in the photo. Plus you can also rub a small bit of silicone spray between the folding mechanism meeting points or some people use black insulation tape.
Would using a threadlocker on the bolts solve this issue more permenantly ? I get these creaking sounds after every 100kms, even after tightning as described..
Hi. No. It’s very common and the only way it can be really prevented is by fitting an X-lock. I done a video on that installation.
The creaking/wobbling is caused by the rider pulling/pushing on the handlebars while riding.
You have a few other options however if you don’t want the X-lock
People use the rubber dampers (In my opinion, these are a last resort)
Some people have just used tape in between the folding mechanism.
Just type in (Xiaomi M365 creaking on RUclips and you will see their videos)
What I have tried and works well also is, after you adjust everything like I do in this video, you can then apply silicone spray with your finger. Just rub it around the edges of the clamp.
I’ve done 250km with my Xiaomi 1s and idk, is that bad?
Not bad at all ⚡️
Can u please answer why does my rubber damper pop out ???
I can send u image on instagram if you don’t understand what I mean
Hi Nemanja. I have never used the rubber dampers because I adjust it to stop the creaking/wobbling of the stem. You only need the dampers if the damage is already done. I saw people holding them in place with tape.
I would suggest investing in the X-lock for added support, I done the video on that installation and it’s brilliant.
@@Movelectrics it is on place, but when I do the thing with my hand on 6:55 it just pops out on the sides like it's slime but it's just rubber damper
The x-lock looks cool but I don't have money to spend on it and it's a lot of work 🥴
I’d like to see exactly what’s happening. Can you post the video here and we can help tiny.cc/eiktqz
The X-lock takes 10 minutes to fit and is great. Avoiding stem issues is very important.
The bar snapped on mine it literally only a month old I’ve the new part there and tried to take the new bar out so I can replace but can’t get it out
Are you talking about the pin? For the locking latch?
@@Movelectrics my pin broke how do I get it out ?
You need to hit it out. Have a look here ruclips.net/video/IYitMzkPOLQ/видео.html
I would get a new one, try AliExpress 🛴

Is it just mine or the steering angle to the right is higher? I can steer more to the right than left, is it normal?
Hi Carbune! I would suggest checking your wheel alignment. It’s ok if it is just a small bit but not too much. I done a video on the alignment, have a look 🛴
@@Movelectrics thanks for answering bro. Really apreciate it.

Is there a reason why the handlebar has to be detached when you adjust? It seems a lot easier if it was up.
Hi Jee. That’s my way of doing things but by all means, if you prefer a different way that you feel comfortable with, then do that 🛴

@@ashton9921 literally minor adjustments needed but if it is too badly worn, you can also use some gaffer tape between the latch

Your model is the exact same as mine. Maintenance is very important so you will have to do it. I’ve done many videos on things so check them out if you ever need ⚡️
