From what I understand, having lived in the state for over 12 years, is that it is a spiritual being. I have even heard that it was a curse the native inhabitants placed on the white settlers that slowly started to push them out. Not to mention the southern part of the state has a lot more superstitions than any other part of the state. When I say superstitions, I mean it as something that deals with the devil, spirits, God, ect. Not anything about stuff you hear about Karma, luck, etc. So, it ties into it being something a spiritual being kind of deal that people associate with the devil.
I just discovered your channel (well rediscovered because I was subbed but dont remember doing so?) Anyway, good job, Ive seen several of your videos and really like them so far. That's saying a lot as there are few paranormal channels I really like. My favorites are Beyond Creepy and Paranormal Junkie . Beyond Creepy is by far my favorite, I guess because when I get a notification for BC I know I'm going to hear a case ive not seen or heard before! I dont mind a case being revisited as long as there is new or detailed info. Things like Mono I get as youre going through states!! I'm from MO, I guess this is why the algorithm sent you to me!! Thanks I'm looking forward to going through your library! Oh other favorite channels, Strange Life is great and MrBallen isnt too bad.

Some people are notified immediately while others may not see anything for months.
@@BenmillerIceWolfVideos where I do find Chills entertaining at times, i no its not even in the same genre. Im not wild about creepy pasta either. I like the stuff people claim they've seen or experienced, its wat is interesting to me. I grew up in a house during the 70's and 80's that, for a lack of better descriptions, had a ghost. This was before ghost hunters, etc... What amazes me is I experienced many of the same things as these shows report. Cold spots, the 2nd floor of the house was very hot in summer, as did not work at all up there, yet we'd sometimes get cold spots up there!! I asked every adult what caused them, never got an answer... The thing about our, whatever it was, it was good, helpful, even protective! My younger sister slipped at the top of the stairs, she says it caught her, picked her up and carried her to the bottom of the stairs and gently set her down. Too much to write about here but once we believe it kept letting the dogs out to scare someone away. 3 times the dogs escape the basement in 1 night. The only time they did in 20 years.. Strange world, it opened my mind.
@13:21 that’s it that’s it THAT’S IT 😳 THAT’S the creature I saw standing inside the tree line in South Georgia Oh 🙏🏽 THANK YOU for this identification
I’m gonna go back to comment section of other upload. I will copy paste my encounter. It still boggles my mind - all these years later. But one thing is certain - two separate sets of eyes witnessed it. It really existed. It showed intelligence/restraint - it was hiding on purpose until we passed by
(copy/paste from the military encounter upload about a month ago 😉) I wish it were more interesting/longer - but it was just a few (crucial) details to set the scene: About 10 years ago, I was heading back home from a run to the store (Walmart 😉) I was about 30 & had been staying at home raising our first child/a newborn. My best friend picked me up and took me to the store for a change of scenery/pace. Afterwards, on the long winding pitch black country road, I saw 2 GLOWING EYES atop a HUGE silhouette standing flush/slightly blended with the tree line on the left hand side of the road. It stood OUT 👀 But... it didn’t make sense, so I didn’t speak up immediately. Maybe a mile or so down the road - I half heartedly mentioned “did you see that? what was that?” just CERTAIN there was no chance she’d caught a glimpse since we were zipping down the road/65 mph. My friend replied soooo casually “what? Those 2 eyes on the side of the road? You saw that too?” Strangely.. I could’ve sworn they were a neon yellow green - she would’ve sworn they were bright red
(Cont) She replied “what? Those glowing eyes on the left hand side of the road?” She and i both saw it - but initially didn’t say anything (presumably because we both kept riding in silence trying to fit it into a box - like one of the more common animals seen late at night on the country road). Now, I will rethink the missing cows from my daddy’s farm 🤦🏼♀️ geeeeze. Thank you “Viking” & “Kevin”. I thought I could depend on our leaders to warn of possible dangers such as this. I appreciate your trust in sharing these details with your counterparts 🙏
(Cont part 3) Now that I sit here pecking all of these details out - I must admit, I’ve considered approaching the house/family that lived/lives on the right hand side of the road where we saw the glowing eyes in the left. I mean.. there’s always been a nagging feeling that I should at LEAST give them a heads up/explanation in case they’ve ever had something happen (to a pet?) around their home. I know I only saw it a split moment - but it felt very stalkerish - like it was hiding and peeping (unlike a deer/other animals that pop out of the tree line to run across the road) as if it had... “intelligence”

Ben have you seen the documentary 'beyond the truth' ? Talks about some of the subjects that you have spoke about on here the Varginha alien encounter also Nick Pope has changed his tune don't ya think??
I watch so many paranormal shows it is hard to keep track. I know I am not a fan of Paranormal Evidence since they show known fake stuff. I honestly haven't seen much from Nick Pope as of late but it would be sad to think that he has fallen to being a skeptic.
@@BenmillerIceWolfVideosHiya Ben, on that docu Beyond the truth, Nick Pope was on it from he 90's and was being the opposite of what he is now. Like he was programmed against the exsistance of UFOs back then. He's done a U turn and is now on the side of truth. I was surprised by that as I thought he was always a truth seeker. But he did work for the MOD at the time. Take care and best wishes from me in Liverpool 🇬🇧 (we've been put on lockdown now and it's my birthday this weekend so I'm rather p***ed off 😒)
Just wanted to let you know that La Plata is pronounced Luh play-tuh. I'm originally from mid-Missouri and I used to have family in La Plata. There's a lot of local stories about booger dogs.
(interesting...this post didn't show up after 3 tries in the morning, so hopefully this will go through) Wow...Momo..I haven't heard this term in a coon's age! Even thugh I usually ask people to "show me", I grew up in Northwest Arkansas in the 1970's. Just to fill you in on regional colloquialisms, the term "booger" is a general term that covered any cryptid (locally, 99.5% of the locality never heard of that term back then)that covered any monster of unknown origin that roamed the forests and were responsible for any missing livestock. A booger could be a bigfoot (most famous of the era in the region was the Boggy Creek monster), dogman, Todie (similar to the toad like beast mentioned here) or one of our own pig-like creatures (we were the Razorback state after all). When livestock went missing, it was always blamed on boogers or hippies. When you get to Arkansas, the Boggy Creek monster was our most famous...the first movie was close to an honest documentary, the sequal was a sad attempt as a "C" movies disguised as a documentary. The dog with a crescent shape marking was simply known as the moondog. Unfortunately, personally I have to relegate the moondog to a folk tale, due to the lack of physical evidence or anchored focal point of the story. Skin walkers have an oral history going back centuries with Southwest indiginous people, so I don't think the booger dog could be the basis for that. The space penguin story...yes! Now I have to go back and re-read that one. Can't wait to hear your version of the research on that encounter! Keep up the great work, my friend. Love to see your pirate ship. The golden age of piracy is another one of my favorite topics. My own project just came to a close, so the Battle Mountain Bigfoot story should be coming your way soon. Best of luck. Later!
@@dubuyajay9964 The first one is a classic, the second, though entertaining here and there, was really more of trying to make a poorly scripted movie into a documentary.
Thank you for all of that information. I really enjoy learning about the meanings behind terms that may not be spread outside of certain localities. I am a fan of the story about Boggy Creek but I think that the bigfoot was given a bad rap. The video I JUST upload was going to have the Space Penguins in it but the story demanded a singular topic. Rest assured that part of my script is already saved and waiting for the day I can make a video about it. I am going to make a video about the Halloween display since I am sure a lot of my fans probably don't use social media. I am really looking forward to your battle mountain story. Lata my friend!

For some reason my topics have been about aliens which doesn't fit this time period at all ha ha!! I need to figure out something though. I have already made videos about the origins of Halloween, Samhain, jack o lanterns, and the headless horseman. I need to think of something else. I will be making a video about my halloween props.
Skin walkers is the Navajo term man, that's where that started, lol. Every other tribe has their own name for shape shifters. And they started long before settlers got here
@@BenmillerIceWolfVideos One of my fondest memories of 1st grade in 1957 or 58 is of one of my classmates telling of claw marks left on a dead hog by some wild beast. I repeated the story to my parents at the supper table. My mother was putting it down to the imagination of a little boy. My father, a close friend of the two man police department near his work knew something of the beast. It seems my classmates grandmother had made some calls to the PD to report a monster near her house. That's where I got my start with this foolishness. I believe very little of it but I love it.
I respect your opinion but a lot of people enjoy that information. I always include it as a way to give each location it's own personality. That is true but this being didn't look anything like a dogman. Maybe it was a hybrid.
I am happy you found me again. I do see that you have been subscribed for over 3 years! I am honored that you like my channel so much. With your favorite channel list I am just happy that Chills isn't on it ha ha!! RUclips notifications has been acting really strange as of late.
@13:21 that’s it that’s it THAT’S IT
😳 THAT’S the creature I saw standing inside the tree line in South Georgia
Oh 🙏🏽 THANK YOU for this identification
I’m gonna go back to comment section of other upload. I will copy paste my encounter. It still boggles my mind - all these years later. But one thing is certain - two separate sets of eyes witnessed it. It really existed. It showed intelligence/restraint - it was hiding on purpose until we passed by
(copy/paste from the military encounter upload about a month ago 😉)
I wish it were more interesting/longer - but it was just a few (crucial) details to set the scene:
About 10 years ago, I was heading back home from a run to the store (Walmart 😉) I was about 30 & had been staying at home raising our first child/a newborn. My best friend picked me up and took me to the store for a change of scenery/pace. Afterwards, on the long winding pitch black country road, I saw 2 GLOWING EYES atop a HUGE silhouette standing flush/slightly blended with the tree line on the left hand side of the road.
It stood OUT 👀
But... it didn’t make sense, so I didn’t speak up immediately.
(Cont)
She replied “what? Those glowing eyes on the left hand side of the road?” She and i both saw it - but initially didn’t say anything (presumably because we both kept riding in silence trying to fit it into a box - like one of the more common animals seen late at night on the country road). Now, I will rethink the missing cows from my daddy’s farm 🤦🏼♀️ geeeeze. Thank you “Viking” & “Kevin”. I thought I could depend on our leaders to warn of possible dangers such as this. I appreciate your trust in sharing these details with your counterparts 🙏
(Cont part 3)
Now that I sit here pecking all of these details out - I must admit, I’ve considered approaching the house/family that lived/lives on the right hand side of the road where we saw the glowing eyes in the left. I mean.. there’s always been a nagging feeling that I should at LEAST give them a heads up/explanation in case they’ve ever had something happen (to a pet?) around their home.
I know I only saw it a split moment - but it felt very stalkerish - like it was hiding and peeping (unlike a deer/other animals that pop out of the tree line to run across the road) as if it had... “intelligence”
Great point Booty 🥰
Another example of how additional perspectives are ALWAYS valuable ✊
Yes, flag info !
I enjoy that information as well. This flag certainly had a lot of symbols in it.
Oh I like the new intro Ben! Is this going to be for all of your videos or just the cryptid by _____ series?
I’m guessing maybe for October
I am happy you liked it! I do like to change things up but the intro is just for October. I have one for Christmas as well that looks a lot like my normal one but with snow flakes in the background. I know that isn't as epic as this one ha ha!!
Hey Ben still wondering when your doing Colorado for your cryptid by state
It is now in a three way tie for first place with your vote.
11:35 well that was the problem thay were in shonon county
10:02
Beta Loveland Frogman?
Have you done Mississippi? I can't find it.
Take care and best wishes from me in Liverpool 🇬🇧 (we've been put on lockdown now and it's my birthday this weekend so I'm rather p***ed off 😒)
Please do Georgia.
It probably won't be next but your vote certainly moved it up quite a bit on the list.
Thanks Ben. I love your videos.
Never follow sounds or lights in the woods.
Isn't that the truth! I couldn't agree more.
I'd like to hear about Idaho
Just wanted to let you know that La Plata is pronounced Luh play-tuh. I'm originally from mid-Missouri and I used to have family in La Plata. There's a lot of local stories about booger dogs.
I have lived here for the last 15 years & have had some STRANGE things going on the west side of town , right by the Long Branch creek , area .
6:57 when you owe Bigfoot money
(interesting...this post didn't show up after 3 tries in the morning, so hopefully this will go through)
Wow...Momo..I haven't heard this term in a coon's age!
Later!
But I loved the Boggy Creek Films. :(
@@dubuyajay9964 The first one is a classic, the second, though entertaining here and there, was really more of trying to make a poorly scripted movie into a documentary.
What about the screaming banshees and the hunting of red eyed snipes
Banshees are spirits not cryptids.
Not round here it's the real deal humanoid smeagle looking thing with a wretched scream that'll curl your toes,u can hear few hollers over down in the crik where we warrrsh the zinc
Nice new intro - I was pretty shocked at how different it is but it’s good 👍🏽 Will you be doing any Halloween specific videos this month?
I am happy you enjoyed the Halloween intro. Some got confused as to if it was a permanent change. I realized today that I need to make something ghost related this month. For some reason my topics have been about aliens which doesn't fit this time period at all ha ha!! I need to figure out something though. I have already made videos about the origins of Halloween, Samhain, jack o lanterns, and the headless horseman. I need to think of something else. I will be making a video about my halloween props.
Space Penguins????
Ha Ha!! The story is fascinating and I will be making something on it in the following week.
Skin walkers is the Navajo term man, that's where that started, lol. Every other tribe has their own name for shape shifters. And they started long before settlers got here
I too, love all of this foolishness.
Ha Ha!! They are some interesting stories aren't they?
@@BenmillerIceWolfVideos One of my fondest memories of 1st grade in 1957 or 58 is of one of my classmates telling of claw marks left on a dead hog by some wild beast. I repeated the story to my parents at the supper table. My mother was putting it down to the imagination of a little boy. My father, a close friend of the two man police department near his work knew something of the beast. It seems my classmates grandmother had made some calls to the PD to report a monster near her house.
That's where I got my start with this foolishness. I believe very little of it but I love it.
Latta
Lata!
YO YOU FORGOT THE GIANT CATFISH
I don't know if I consider a giant catfish a cryptid. It very well may be one but I know that fish can get to enormous sizes.
They say they get as big as cars.
Do georgia
Oh? New intro?
Ha Ha!! It is my intro for October. I almost forgot to add it!
good video ben no big deal if you don't write i'm just happy to get a like
I am happy you liked it and I do try to get back to my comments when I can.
Yea it was good
BROOKLYN NEW YORK, There He Goes😀😀😀
I am a little confused
wtf ar u a cryptid chanel or a history lesson
Ben come on man a quarter of this video is about the damn flag I'm not here for stupid Flags I'm here for Monsters.
I respect your opinion but a lot of people enjoy that information. I always include it as a way to give each location it's own personality. Rather than just saying, "Here we are at state X" after watching my video you get to know more about the location. Again I understand your excitement to hear about the cryptids.
@@BenmillerIceWolfVideos It's all good Ben... i ain't mad just say'n maybe do a few minutes and spend 3/4 of the video on the actual monsters. :)
