Well I dont think there's any should or broken when you're using some Chinese hack hardware to shoehorn full screen onto the display via Apple carplay. You take what you can get. It's better than a big white android auto logo reminding you that mercedes don't give a shit about your 5 year old car because they've changed infotainment systems 3 times since then lol. As it stands it's workable, it works as well as the wired version tbh, the rotary controls have always been a bit all over the place for AA, just slightly different, and if your car is old enough the dash buttons still work too. Ironically it's a lot faster, and more stable than wired too. Only downsize is it's slightly squished because the aspect ratio is slightly off but I've tried getting them to deal with it in support, but I just can't get them to understand. They're either too stupid or too slapdash to understand what 1:1 pixel ratio is.... MIC

I have defo had issues with calls where it wouldn't let me answer etc. I also now, over time am having to do a disconnection of the box sometimes to get it to pair, but it does eventually. I still with they'd fix the aspect ratio but you just can't get them to understand, the Chinese don't really care for that level of detail.
Mine just comes up with the android auto logo on the right :( did you sideload the android auto app from another country or update comand from dealer? What year is your W213? Mine is a 2018, might go to the dealer to see if there is an update for Comand 🤔
This is a hack, using a third party android auto wireless adapter by Ottocast. It uses the Carplay connection even though it's AA so you get full screen. There is no update for real fullscreen direct from MB, they couldn't be bothered and abandoned this version of Comand.
I have a 2023 CLA250 with is using MBUX. Has anyone tried this on MBUX? I just want full screen AA on this big beautiful screen. Any hope that Mercedes will do a software update to enable full screen AA? It's kinda embarrassing when I launch AA and I get a mini screen.
@@smomin1976 I got the ottocast u2-x pro. I have a w213 on command, same as in the video. It's working well and looks good on the screen. Much better than not seeing the AA logo you get with the wired connection.
The X2, internally it's the same as the pro and I have the pro firmware in it. I got from Amazon so was next day. Chose Amazon because knew return would be easier
@@irfanp261 there's a setting for full screen but it still shows as split on mine, I assume that may be a setting in AA. Yeah it'll give you any AA compatible apps, Spotify, maps etc. I do have a crash here and there so the reboot button if the pro would defo help for that.
@@irfanp261 no, no lag at all. Yes the box plugs into your car by cable but to your phone by WiFi, and then your phone uses mobile network to get the data. The display isn't quite as crisp as cabled, and I'm not convinced the audio is quite the same bitrate, but its not miles off.

@@ChrisWAKIM you plug the ottocast into whatever you would usually use to connect an iPhone to carplay. You setup the ottocast so it sees and communicates with your phone. You launch apple carplay in the car, which will show Android Auto wirelessly. The car thinks it's using carplay, if it's showing the aa logo then something is wrong.

Dear friend, could you tell me how you got AA full screen to work on your W213
If u used navigation with google maps, will it showed turn by turn navigation on head-up-display as the usual wired Android auto?
I dont know as I dont have HUD but I doubt it, the car thinks its seeing apple carplay, it's using the Apple interface with the car.
I have the U2xpro it works well but when on phone calls it crashes in about 2 minutes. Has this happened to you?
