  • FDR dominated radio so completely that, "stations were just in terror. They were on eggshells," afraid they'd lose their right to broadcast, or swept away by bogus "tax violations," says David Beito, the author of 'The New Deal’s War on the Bill of Rights: The Untold Story of FDR’s Concentration Camps, Censorship, and Mass Surveillance.'

If your child's history book still lauds FDR, fire your school board.
Better yet, vote in people that support School Vouchers.
Excellent read - Should be required reading in High School:
"New Deal or Raw Deal?: How FDR's Economic Legacy Has Damaged America"

So propaganda. Imagine believing that a market where people invested their life saving, their homes and everything they had times 10 wasn't the cause of the great depression.

FDR's Marxist and Keynesian polices turned a Recession, caused due to a market crash as you correctly noted,
      into the Great Depression
..... per every Economist on Earth.
Save self-described Marxist Economist, Richard Wolff, and a few select far Left Keynesians.
      They are clowns.
Fact immune far Left activists, not academics.
Who get eviscerated anytime they accept a debate. Hence, few to none.

The WW2 government of USA was often telling news media what they could or could not publish. After one year of WW2, the Germans attacked the Russian held half of POLAND, and soon found what the RUSSIANS did when Polish soldiers surrendered to them. Huge mass graves of Polish soldiers with hands tied behind back and shot in back of the head in the Katyn Forest. .Though the killings also occurred in the Kalinin and Kharkiv prisons and elsewhere, the massacre is named after the Katyn forest, where some of the mass graves were first discovered by German Nazi forces. The order to execute captive members of the Polish officer corps was secretly issued by the Soviet Politburo led by Joseph Stalin. . Did you think they let Americans know that they were building war weapons for the RUSSIANS, and the RUSSIANS had executed all of those Surrendered Polish? . Let's not remark about all of the Forest Fires during WW2, caused by the thousands of high flying ballon bombs Japan floated over the Pacific, that only the first one was exposed, then the government kept it quiet.

Stalin killed 20-30 million people. Of course we knew. Hoover sent them food. Funny how he did not do that when he was president during the Great Depression.

@@PrezVeto That's what all unions do even today . Use bulling tactics to get people to join unions and "donate" the union members money to the politician of the union's choice.
