What’s the movie Dragonheart about?
England, 984. During a peasant revolt, Freyn (Peter Hric), a tyrannical monarch, is killed and his son Einon (David Thewlis of Naked and Harry Potter) seriously injured while under the care of Sir Bowen (Dennis Quaid of Breaking Away and Frequency), his guardian. Dying, Einon is rushed to Draco, a noble dragon who saves his life by sharing his heart with him. A few years later, Einon took his father's place and proved to be even more cruel than him; Bowen, for his part, has become a renegade and embittered knight who has sworn to exterminate all the dragons of the earth. Fate then puts Bowen in front of the last of the dragons, who is none other than Draco. A terrible fight ensues, during which Bowen must confess defeat, before realizing that the dragon is in no way responsible for the tyranny of Einon. A collaboration emerges to kill Einon, which gradually turns into a friendship. He gathers a whole army of peasants to set up a new revolt that will put an end to Einon's reign. But, Einon and Draco sharing the same heart, Bowen realizes that Draco must die so that Einon dies too. After the convincing words of Draco, he ends up killing him and at the same time finishes the era of the dragons and the time of Einon.

This movie has the most amazing dragon ever made. Period.
Draco was the smartest and most noble character in the film. He knew what had to be done and was willing a sacrifice his life for it. One of the most memorable dragons in film history.
I remember seeing this movie in the theater, not a dry eye among anyone there, including the adults! Watched all the direct to dvd sequels, but this one is still the best in my opinion.
"And in the days following Draco's sacrifice, Bowen and Kara led the people in a time of justice and brotherhood. As I remember it now, those were golden years warmed by an unworldly light. And when things became the most difficult, Draco's star shown more brightly for all of us who knew where to look."
Ah, the 90s movies... They bring back a lot of memories...
When I was a kid I cried every time and as a grown ass man I cry every time. To the stars Bowen to the stars ⭐️.
How did I just now realize that the mad king was Professor R.J. Lupin?
Two died. One a monster, another a hero.
I remember watching this as a kid when it came out. I hid under the curtains of the living room and cried my eyes out. Still so vivid.
I saw this movie in the theatre. This scene brought people to tears...😢
To the stars, Bowen. To the stars.- Sean O'Connery RIP old friend
"To the stars Bowen. To the stars."
This series never fails to make me cry this has been my 1# favorite movie for over 20 years I have always loved dragons and this series has broken my heart but teaches so many lessons these movies deserve so much more credit than they get I remember when I was a little girl, how the other girls would play dress up or with dolls I’d play with a Draco figurine and other dragon toys this movie though never fails to make me cry and lighten up my heart it truly deserves soooo much more credit
Such a great movie!! I cried when Draco died; but smiled when he went to the stars!!
Back with his friends and family... Thank you, Draco...🐉
Would you please, excuse me, I have to shed some tears in the memory of a dragon
In a way, Draco sacrificing himself was the only way to earn his place among the stars. Enian would live as long as Draco lived, meaning he was practically immortal and would terrorize the land everywhere he walked. You could say that you could lock him away in chains or just mutilate him until he couldnt move, but every ounce of pain he feels, Draco would feel. He would always be a threat if ever unleashed or if he escaped. The weight of guilt and fear would be heavy on Draco's kind heart, it would be Hell to keep living.
It's great that Draco and Scarred One had a son Drake and it's sad he never got to know his father and mother.

I cried so hard when I was little and watched this… I know I’ll cry again.
