Thanks for this excellent tutorial! I have lost a long-range quad before, it sucked, now I log GPS data to the SD card AND display it on my Tango II...this will totally save my bacon if my quad goes down and I am on a mountain top with no computer to read GPS coordinates off of an SD card. I just did a build & review of the GEPRC Moz7 and included some general GPS setup information and I am linking to this video on how to display GPS telemetry on the Tango II.
Great video & very helpful. I'm new to long range & I was wondering what switch do you use for failsafe & on a long range quad do I not need the flip over after crash option? I'm flying a 10" quad. Thank you & Happy Holidays!
Im glad i could help. For long range i would actually start with something small like a 4” its easier to fly more places and doesnt sound as scary. And if you lose it you dont need to worry about a massive forest fire or something from the battery. I would absolutly use flip over after crash it helps if your stuck in a tree and can get close enough to see it. I dont use rth on long range, it never works on betaflight but i havent tried the new firmware so it may be better now.
You need to verify that you are getting GPS on the GPS tab of betaflight. You mignt have to go outside. Then make sure you have telemetry output setup in betaflight.
Very helpful. I am now looking to see how the numbers can be displayed in Decimal Degrees (DD) rather than Degrees Minutes Seconds (DMS) as this is more easily entered into Google Maps to help locate a downed drone. Any ideas on how to achieve something like this?
is 4.0v the highest it charges too? because i have never seen mine at the full 4.2v. also notice yours is also at 4.0v. and instantly dips to 3.9v which is exactly what mine does
Will that show the last coordinates? I warched another video where they were saying it does not show last position. He said you had to go in and change a few things around. Im not quite sure what he was talking about. I think it had to do with transferring data to dvr sd card.
Ive used this method 3 seperate times to find kwads and yes its the last known cords.. i think the process for storing the data on an SD and then mapping telemtry after is different. That could be what you saw.
Hello, great, I have a concern, could you help me?,,,,,, I have the new Helion 10" from Iflight with tbs crossfire diversity and a Tango 2, I am not an expert in configurations, just testing the drone, the quality of Rssi that shows the OSD on the glasses is 1:100 and a friend gets 2:100 with the Elrs receiver, how could I get 2:100 on my OSD, I guess it's settings in betaflight? And I guess having 2:100 Do I have better reception? When I'm a little far away it changes to 0:100 and I get a notification that says: RXLOSS But the "Tango 2" control signal itself has the full 5 dashes, meaning full signal... What does it mean that I'm losing signal? control? The radio is a Tango 2 with 1w power. I would appreciate your help!!!👍
I scrolled in the display page but did not find BatteryRX and did not find the GPS. Option. I scrolled a few times. Do u know the reason why? I’m on the latest firmware

Is there a way to change those GPS coords format to Google's lat/long?
So if I loose the drone and press page I do get the last known position?
I have the same question!
Hello, thank you very much for your video!
If the GPS option does not appear on page 11, what should I do?

Same. I see gps in bf ok. And battery not showing either. But others show up
In Betaflight, in the Receiver Tab, Telemetry should be switched on.
@@KAREKINFPV Thank you so much!! It had to have a GPS signal, and take satellites.
@@hayeopreisgps is the only thing missing
