      Not that I'm aware of. That would be an interesting idea though!

    How does it drain? Is the drain hose end (the end that goes to the pipe) higher than the start (hose connects to the dishwasher) of the drain hose?

    • @NeverStopAdventuring
      @NeverStopAdventuring  7 месяцев назад

      Yes, it's higher. The dishwasher has a drain pump that pumps wastewater from the bottom of the dishwasher into the drain pipe.

    Your explanation of the parts needed and the process is the best I've seen. I'm subscribing!

      Thank you so much! That means a lot! As another commenter pointed out, it would be ideal to get that drain line up a little higher than we have it. The dishwasher comes with it's own drain line and we'd need a little longer one to make it perfect.

    This is the best video- yes the install is amazing and packed with great info but I literally rewatched the part with the kids 10 times 😹🤣😂. Oh so good! Can’t wait for more videos!

      Thanks! Yeah, the kids didn't quite know what to think when the door popped off 😆. Glad you enjoyed it!

    Do you use propane or natural gas for the oven?

    • @NeverStopAdventuring
      @NeverStopAdventuring  6 месяцев назад

      It's propane. Not sure I've ever heard of natural gas in an RV. I think we're in the minority of RVers that actually use their oven 😁

    You really should have an air gap on your drain or at lease run it as high up before coming down to connect to the drain. You can get very sick without it.

    • @NeverStopAdventuring
      @NeverStopAdventuring  2 года назад +2

      That's a good point. While I think a reverse flow/siphon to the dishwasher is pretty unlikely, it wouldn't hurt to get a longer drain hose to create a proper high loop. Thanks for mentioning that.

      @@NeverStopAdventuring it really isn’t unlikely. I’ve been a professional plumber for 30+ year and have heard of hundreds of cases of E. coli contamination from dishwashers because they didn’t have air gaps. Not trying to be that guy, but if you’re gonna put out videos at least know what you’re doing in the future. You could be culpable if you got someone sick or injured.

    how was it bolted to the frame?? Unless i missed it??!

    • @NeverStopAdventuring
      @NeverStopAdventuring  2 года назад +1

      It's actually not bolted to the frame at all. The kitchen island is screwed down into the floor in multiple places from the factory. The dishwasher itself installs much the same way as a household one does. There are just two tabs at the top of it that screw right into the wood below the counter top. That's the only real attachment point. Otherwise, there are 4 adjustable feet on the bottom of it to make sure it's sitting evenly on the floor inside the island.

    Awesome video!! Do you mind sharing the size of your cutout? And also if you recall, was the dishwasher indeed 22” deep as well? Trying to see if this model will squeeze into a spot we had hoped for it. Really awesome, and helpful video!

      Hi, thanks! We're out of our RV for a few days while it's getting some repair done so we'll double check the measurements when we get back into it and let you know!

    • @NeverStopAdventuring
      @NeverStopAdventuring  3 года назад

      Our cutout is 18.5" wide by 32.25" tall. The dishwasher sits 19" deep into the island and sticks out about 1.5" from the face of it. There is still 4" of space left behind it in the island.

    We have one in our RV and never used it until today. How long does a normal cycle take? The normal light is blinking and it has been running close to an hour

    • @NeverStopAdventuring
      @NeverStopAdventuring  2 года назад

      About an hour. The blinking light means it's drying. When it finishes it beeps loudly a few times.

      100% helpful! We are currently researching to find the right rig for us and this helps us a lot! also your solar videos are fantastic to get me started on research for that.

    • @NeverStopAdventuring

      @@sarahbainbridge-seevinck7361 happy to help! 4+ years after installing it we still talk about how we couldn't live without our dishwasher! I think the biggest hurdle to get past with solar is the price. If you really want to recoup the cost you have to LOVE boondocking. We do, but it isn't always practical with small kids. We also love our solar setup when campground power goes out or when we can only have a 30A connection.

      Thanks! Glad to hear it's helpful. The only thing I'd add is that it wouldn't hurt to get a longer drain hose than what I used in this video. It makes it easier to make a proper high loop.

    Wow - awesome info. Really appreciate you sharing the install but also the water and electricity usage. Been looking at one but I think I'll be looking into the model and set up you have. It will save us a lot of time.

    Approximately how long did the entire install take you?

    • @NeverStopAdventuring
      @NeverStopAdventuring  3 года назад +2

      Working on it on and off: 3 days. If I'd had the proper tools from the beginning and could have devoted an entire day to it, it could easily be done in one day.
