Used to be a switch hitter but started to stay lefty for 3 reasons. 1. Became more comfortable since 85% of my ABs have been from the left side 2. About a step and a half closer to first with momentum which does help running out grounders 3. So I don't have to use a ladder to get out of the trench that used to be the right handed batters box.
It makes his comment less serious because he left off a couple of periods? How ridiculous. You could definitely work on your punctuation, those sentences are a mess.
That's exactly what I did, I wasn't as good as your buddy but I still had a .223 with 12 homeruns. Best part was not rolling an ankle every time I stepped into the box lol.
As a left handed hitter I can honestly say I looked over at that right hand batter box many times thinking damn I’m glad I don’t have to swing from the side!
Things the righty’s batters box does 1. Make u 3 inches shorter 2. Make u all ways know where the box is 3. Fill your cleats with sand 4. Make you slip when u swing
I’m an umpire, but I’ve seen a field where they put one of those turf hitting mats at home plate and made a cutout so it would have a real base and they put dirt over it, so no holes like that popped up and everything (including sliding) worked as usual
I grew up hitting righty and decided to switch to lefty in high school and it blew my mind how every field, the lefty box was always way nicer. Because of that, I decided not to dig my back foot in like I did when I was a righty😅
I remember the pitching rubber was the same way if both starting pitchers threw from the same side of the rubber. Plant foot would land in a huge crater.😂
I used to work on filling those holes around the catcher, batter box, and the mound, and leveling the infield. It always took awhile to dig out and replace typically with clay and seeing it get absolutely destroyed the first game on it hurts.
They honestly need to require regrooming it every few innings because the dirt on some fields is so finely ground that you legitimately can sink a few inches and cause danger to yourself due to the balance issues
I played on this one field for a men’s league game and it was turf so you’d expect both boxes to be good considering it’s turf but boy was I wrong. The right handed box still had a crater in it

You forgot your punctuation. In a few points. Makes your comment here on RUclips. Seem less serious and. Thought out. I’m sorry.

@@HighFiveGhost50 I’m just being a dick don’t worry about me
@@nickclayton412 your sentence looks like its writtem by a guy who still eats his boogers.
@@nickclayton412imma assume this is a joke and thats why you used your own punctuation so terribly
Righty batters box: 🕳️
Lefty batters box: 💎💰🖼️
As a lefty batter, I can confirm
Same. I always look over and think to myself: “Glad I’m not righty!”😂
@Tyman18-v9wliterally bro
This is why I love being lefty
As I'm left handed I've never played other than a few games it's definitely true a pit on one side and a beautiful flat on the other
Your closer to the earths core than the actual plate 😂
S ranked comment
Incredible comment
I'm a left handed hitter and I love not having a massive hole in the ground🤣
Me too
Me too😂😂😂
For some reason when I play I have a hole in the box even though I’m left handed
I love being left handed
Fr me to
I had a buddy become a switch hitter his sophomore year because of this exact issue, he hit .280 his senior year lefty only with 13 home runs. Goated.
That's exactly what I did, I wasn't as good as your buddy but I still had a .223 with 12 homeruns. Best part was not rolling an ankle every time I stepped into the box lol.
Imagine being so good you can just become a lefty
Makes sense you have to kinda re learn the mechanics and focus a bit more
Then the lefties have the most neatest, groomed batters box 😂
We do loll
AND I LOVE IT
Yeah, but nobody knows how to pitch to a fucking lefty I still have bruises and I quit baseball three years ago
The fall was so good i genuinely think he just went for it & fell
We got the mlb quality batter's box
This is the realest baseball video I have seen all day, I had this in a game and my knees were practically at home plate
It’s funny af bc this is a real field😂😂 he didn’t dig those holes with shovels. That’s real
Bro falls in the Grand Canyon lefty’s are on the flats of mid west 😂
Hahahaha
Ha! I love your metaphors.
As a lefty myself, I enjoyed the Great Plains of the other batter's box.
I enjoy traveling between them 👍
Best metaphor dude
The way he fell when he tried walking in the batters box😂
Yeah that’s like the whole point of the video
Tried ☝️
Wow great comment, are you 7?
What’s funny that’s not exaggerated
I watched the video too, but thanks!
Why is this so acturate😂😂😂
Accurate*
like your spelling 😂☝🏻 Whats up brother
This is relatable, it’s like I’m walking into a whole valley😂
bro sold the fuck out of that fall. i’m so ded 💀😂💀😂😂
The worst part is taking your step when the pitch comes and the dirt is so much higher you feel off balance
a whole construction team was digging there😂
Fr
I got u wit da 1k likr
@@Dogers513 thanks 🫡
I always took the time to fill it in, doesn’t matter if the umps get mad
You fill it in, and then dig your own place in the box😂
@ yes! Haha!
When you go from playing sweet ass ncaa fields to Sunday league
The batter box is always messed up on the right side😂 the left is perfect though
"We struck pay dirt" Lmao
As a left handed man it’s so refreshing to see a right handed problem 😂😂😂
This is so true at my local field💀
Bro unlocked memories left to time with this one. Fuck I wish I was lefty.
That’s the loyalty of being a left-handed hitter
This is absolutely hysterical 😂 ...pay dirt is so hilarious
As a lefty “Great batters box!”
Righty’s: …
Jesus the fact that the fall looked like it actually hurt 😂
As a left handed hitter I can honestly say I looked over at that right hand batter box many times thinking damn I’m glad I don’t have to swing from the side!
bro that is so relatable omg i’m dying😭😭
Don’t need to travel to Arizona when you’ve got the Grand Canyon right there
the struggle is real 😅
Most accurate baseball short imo
The Grand Canyon be separating us from the plate
Haven’t played ball in 10 years since I was 7. This is the one thing I remember.
Things the righty’s batters box does
1. Make u 3 inches shorter
2. Make u all ways know where the box is
3. Fill your cleats with sand
4. Make you slip when u swing
🤣 that fall felt genuine
I always absolutely hated that, completely threw me off having to figure out where to stand lol
That fall was personal😂
I’m a right hand hitter and this is actually so true we get a few inches shorter when we go into the box
I love being left handed:)
As a lefty, it’s amazing that I can stand in my box and have a moat half way around me
Love being a eft handed hitter, no one hits left feels nice to dig your own spot and know where it’s at every time😂
Bro became one of Santa’s little helper
The coach's drills prepare you for this
That’s me every men’s softball game😂
This is so accurate. There was one field that I hated playin on, the batters box had porthole more than a food deep lol
everything starts w foundation 😂
This is so true I felt my foot sinking a foot when I stepped into the plate
Bro they be making me realll short😅
Bro this is the reason why I keep hitting ground balls in games😂 fr
"We struck pay dirt" someone call Parker Schnabel
And your coach somehow still says this is an advantage
That was a very well performed fall, really looked like he didn’t know it was there
The amount of times I’ve hyper extended my knee from that is uncountable
Bro committed to that fall
Bro went from 6’3 to 4’5
Fr the teammates before me be digging craters
Bros got a hilarious fall
I remember always looking at the right handed box being glad I was a lefty
The life of a left handed hitter is amazing. Especially since we don’t have a gigantic hole on our batters box
I’m an umpire, but I’ve seen a field where they put one of those turf hitting mats at home plate and made a cutout so it would have a real base and they put dirt over it, so no holes like that popped up and everything (including sliding) worked as usual
That's one of the benefits that I have being a left-handed hitter
Absolute facts if you go to a practice with your dad and you at a random field
Couldn't be me 😂
This actually happened to me once
As a lefty I always look at outside pitches and my jaw drops 😂😂
I'm right handed but I find it more comfortable to swing lefty
And this is why I love being a leadoff hitter. I don’t have to step into a huge freaking pit. lol
Thats great physical comedy
some of my teammates would dig so deep into the box and it would always piss me tf off🤣
That was my favorite part ab being left handed lol
Lol i like to imagine the fall wasn’t intentional to make the video funnier
I’m a lefty and I always see the writing box compared to the box that is so true
I grew up hitting righty and decided to switch to lefty in high school and it blew my mind how every field, the lefty box was always way nicer. Because of that, I decided not to dig my back foot in like I did when I was a righty😅
Fr I would have to shuffle for like 30 seconds 😂😂😂
Going to the batting cages and not having to stand in a whole while hitting is the best part of being a left handed hitter
especially on rainy days
If the field isn’t taken good care of often the right handed box starts looking like a construction site 😂
Bro I remember my first game and I was like what the fuck
I remember the pitching rubber was the same way if both starting pitchers threw from the same side of the rubber. Plant foot would land in a huge crater.😂
I used to work on filling those holes around the catcher, batter box, and the mound, and leveling the infield. It always took awhile to dig out and replace typically with clay and seeing it get absolutely destroyed the first game on it hurts.
This is so funny being a lefty😂
Hes not wrong 😂 we right handed hitters dig ruts at the plate😂
Nah this is way too relatable !!!
As a lefty who is 34 and played from 5-12.. i had no idea that was a thing. I batted the other side in the plains
They honestly need to require regrooming it every few innings because the dirt on some fields is so finely ground that you legitimately can sink a few inches and cause danger to yourself due to the balance issues
I’m a lefty pitcher and some of the mounds were dug out so deep for righties I had to stand in front of the divot to pitch.
Thats facts the right handed box looks like that is where a nuke landed
When you step into the box, you’re literally like five feet below ground level
If this isn't the most fact thing ever idk what is I'm dying over here 😂😂😂
The way he fell at the start
When you hit the ball
*Whistle
OVER THE TOP LADS
As a righty this is super duper accurate😂😂😂
As an ump I always try to kick at it to fill it up between batters😂
The same thing happens to my son😂
That’s too relatable 😂
I played on this one field for a men’s league game and it was turf so you’d expect both boxes to be good considering it’s turf but boy was I wrong. The right handed box still had a crater in it
As a right handed batter I can confirm
Man, I don't know anything about baseball, but that was a really good falling over noise
bro needs to be a switch hitter. Be like Ohtani and Freddie
Lmao thank god pops made me a lefty hitter which turned into a switch hitter eventually. Hit righty one time and slapped it into left field
