I've got an old 1950s vintage Marlin beater in 35 Rem. All the luster is gone, but it is mechanically sound and the stock is in good shape (no cracks). The only upgrade is the addition of a Skinner rear peep sight and a suitable front sight. Other than that I've kept it as is because I don't want to worry about scratching it while walking my property. Maybe someday I'll gussy it up a bit.
I've got a old Marlin deluxe in 30-30 made in 1949 I've considered getting rid of it but haven't decided one way or the other it's a 336Adlx All original and in very good to excellent waffle top hasn't been drilled and tapped 24" bbl half magazine @@30-06john
Thank JOHN for all your time and videos
Thanks for the kind words, and for watching!
I love older rifles. Got an old Sako in my gun safe I need to get onto some day. Trust your project goes well John 🇺🇸 🇳🇿
Thanks! Yeah, those Sakos are great!
