Thank you for sharing this wonderful and very generous tutorial. I love having something permanent to use. It makes life easier. Hugs to yo and thanks again. 🎀🎀🎀
Home Depot refused to cut mines due to ‘safety issues’, they said they do not cut anything smaller than 12 inches… keep that in mind bc I wasted 1 and a half hours waiting at the saw machine just for them to say that. However, Lowe’s had no issue cutting them for me
No entiendo, las medidas que estan en cada tabla es de la medida de la tela para hacer la banda incluyendo lo que lleva el lazo? Y que medida tiene cada tabla en si, no entendi
I would use mask tape for the writing. Just for laziness sake. Cricut materials are expensive. Thank you for the video, for your generosity. God bless you. Your baby is so beautiful.
Do you have a video that tells the measurements of fabric to use? I watched one video calling for 32" to fit 0-6 months. I finally finished one but not pleased with the knot on the inside against baby's head. I'm using bullet fabric. Your things are gorgeous. Where did you find your fabric?
so a yard of bullet fabric is usually 36"x60" so the when I cut the strip, I cut the whole strip 5"x60" and than I use my. boards to tie the bow headwrap/headband. and I cut off the leftover. what is leftover I can make 5" bows on clips or nylons after. I do not precut fabric strips to fit certain sizes because I make them as ordered in my store, thats why I just cut my strips the full length and work with that. its what works for me. I'll be making a video tonight on these and it will be posted tomorrow at 12:00pm pacific time. anyways the knot you have to pull tighter to make it smaller, just depending on the look you're going for. but with these theres always this knot things, you just cant have the headband itself around the babies head too tight or even super snug because it leaves indents if that makes sense. I buy fabric all over the place. I'll post links/say so in the new video. (:
Hi, thank you very much for all the info. What fabric do you normally use aside from bullet fabric like the one that I just watch from your other vid. Thanks.
for this specific headbands I only use bullet fabric. I prefer finding really soft 4way stretch fabric, its kind of hard to find, usually all of etsy stores (where I bought my fabric) has 2way stretch, its not as soft but still stretchy. People also use stretch swim fabric for these, lace etc anything stretchy. but fabric thats more structured works best for it. like double brushed poly wouldn't work as good because it would just flop and not look as good.
Buenas tardes Dios le bendiga mucho,,me encanta sus trabajos, podría por favor de una tabla para descargar en pdr con todas las medidas, gracias por su atención
I did exactly what you said. I went to home depot and they cut for me. He finished the 9 boards and with the leftovers I asked him to cut one adult board 12". I had to insist for them to cut with one unwilling employee that said did not even work with the piece of the wood even me showing him on the paper, I even said: "a woman came here with the baby to buy the piece of wood, and she said you do the cut. And he was still unwilling, very unprofessional, but then he said go the carpenter guy down some isles. And the carpenter cut for me. Usually I have bad experiences with home depot staff. They do not know anything, unwilling, rude. I just got lucky with carpenter. It's so bad customer services that I have to I ask the guys customers about something and they help to find the location shelf. Thank you for your help. I will start doing the headbands, but I still have to file the edges of the boards with sand scraper that I bought there too.
Yes my husband used sand paper to file the edges. And it worked and I still have the boards. I’m sorry that the HD employees weren’t helpful. I am not sure if all Home Depot locations cut things for people, i just know the one that i went to, they do cut stuff.
I made a custom stamp on www.papersushishop.com and I stamp my fabric and use iron to seal it. super easy and fast, also makes it look cute and professional. totally worth it. if you have any questions about the customization of it etc they have a group on Facebook paper sushi or you can just email the website owner.
I did all of them 12” you can do 8” or 6” just depends what is easier for you to work with. I did mine 12” the width is what’s important when it comes to sizes
Hello... I’m just starting out making bows.. after spendings tons on Etsy buying them lol.. where can I buy material to make normal bows? Or the name brand bows.. like the gucci and Burberry material?
no All the boards are 12 inches tall. I did them that tall because it is easier for me to work with them. Now the WIDTH of each board is different because of the different sizes for different ages. (: My first board is 6 inches because that totals to a 12inch head circumference of a newborn. so the first board is 6”x12” for a newborn.
the height is 12" because its easy for me to use them.i show the height because I got a giant 24" board and I cut it in half. if you watch the full video, in the beginning I explains what WIDTH of each 12 inch board is. the width is equals to head circumference headwrap size to use I for. HEIGHT on all of these is 12 inches (you generally need 6" or more) and the WIDTH is all different
yes you can use cardboard!!! no wood doesn't have to be the only one, people even get glass or thick acrylic, foam board etc. just find a good sturdy cardboard. The wood is for aesthetic plus durability because they will last forever.
16" is the head circumference - baby size that I am using in my video. you would need to cut length much more than that because thats what would wrap around the head of the baby not including the bow part. I just cut the fabric into strips as it comes. usually this fabric is 60" in length. and once I tie the bow I cut the extra off and use the extra to make a bow that I put on a clip or a nylon band
I have never measured. what I do is I get my yard of fabric and I cut a strip 6" width. the length of the strip is usually 58'-60" and I make the bow and than cut off the rest. what's left I make a bow on a clip or nylon band out of it.
@@lindasworld2208 I think I misunderstood your question, because you said how much to add to the actual bow, I thought you meant the bow itself and not the headband. anyways the headband part that goes around the head itself (not the bow, since the bow sits on top of the head) so that would be the circumference. so if baby's head measuring 15 inches, the headband part of the strip length would be measured 15 inches. If youre selling these, provide the sizing in ages and add the measurement to each age. so the customer knows what size to get for their own child. kind of like stores have different sizes (newborn, 1-3 months, 3-6 months and so on) and how in "sizing" description it states the exact measurement of each size, and than when customer buys them - each baby is different, how like my 6 month old wears a size 6-9 Months and other 6 month olds wear 3-6 Months because every baby is smaller/bigger/chunkier/skinnier etc - so as long as you have measurements listed on your end - the rest is up to the customer. I hope that makes sense
Love your video ! But could you believe Lowe’s told me they don’t cut this small, that I’ll have to do it myself 🙄 I’ll have to ask the hubs to cut it for me
I do not make them. sorry. You can search "headwrap boards" on etsy.com and they have lots that sell them. keep in mind that everyone offers their own "measurements" if you are going to sell the headwraps go by the measurements of the boards you buy and just list all the measurements on your website so people are aware of your exact sizing (:

If you are up for it you can get a sublimation printer and just get plain white fabric and sublimate on it
Hi this might sound kinda dumb but is it 6 inches length and 12 inches wide? This that it?

Do you sell the boards for the fabrics
I do not. sorry for such late reply, but there's a ton of them for sale on etsy. but I think everyone goes off their own sizes
Im confused is the measurement for the cut in width or height?

Was wondering if you can use other materials then wood? Like cardboard, foam board etc. If it would work out the same or is wood better to use ?

Plexiglass
For preemie, would you do 5.5in? Or maybe even 5?
4 or even 3.5 width of the Headband. My daughter is 2, and 6” covers her head, and she’s 47lb
I did 4” for my newborn. She was 8lb
For board size? I'm just talking head circumference to make a preemie board as well
Thank you so much for replying!
So what is the length knows I’ve got the west part of that does it matter what the length is I need a newborn and 1 to 6 months thank you
No, i cut full strip because i cut off extra after I ride the bow
Is the 16” the size that needs to be cut length wise on the bullet?
16" is the head circumference - baby size that I am using in my video. you would need to cut length much more than that because thats what would wrap around the head of the baby not including the bow part.
