a lot of 8 bit remixes are made in fl studio or an actual daw with a plugin like magical8bit. personally i use lsdj and the limitations the gameboy has are very fun to work with
@@notube4me dude. I didn't even know you replied to my comment way back then. Love the content though my guy and I think the emulated NES chip stuff is awesome

AAAAAWesome! Really GREAT!!:) I was rised on nes, so when im hearing my childhoods sounds in one of the best songs in the world, im proud! Im proud that i love it, it souds just perfect, perfect suited to the nes 8 bit sound. Great job my friend!
Maybe its just me but this really sounds like a song in Maniac Mansion for nes. This is one of the most authentic 8bit remixes I have ever heard. You are awesome
For full immersion, dont forget to switch back to 56k and an old phone line, after waiting 6 minutes for it to dial in, you get to wait another 45 minutes while it loads/buffers !!! Ha sarcasm, if it was an actual video i would agree, but its just text and music, why complain?
I wish you did this on the SNES and used actual samples of the voices. That would've been even cooler IMO. (This is still amazing though, esp. in 2009)
+Rickard Any console can do arpeggios dude. That isn't just a C64 thing. But I'm sure Rikard will deny it, despite never hearing some NES games with this kind of sound, which I can name a few. Oh, and OP posted the NSF file, which is proof.
Ah ok. I wonder how it sounds on real NES, it had the tendency to distort at times, perhaps if you bias one or some of the channels all the way or so. Gotta get a flash or ram cart. Pity.
Just the fact that this is done on a NES game is pure win. At first it didnt sound right to me, but at 1:50, thats when it became pure win. Good job on this. Plus it's NES... good times... good times. This coming from a guy who started with an Atari at age 5 XD.
The NES had a polythony of 5 channels. Each oscillator had a specific set of basic waveforms. Like one would be solely for white noise, another with a triangle wave, etc. Bit depth affects quality and dynamic range. To get more accurate representation, you'd have to also record and bounce in 8-bit.
Origanal is a N00B indicator just like giving a hate comment to a video pretty good job! its also cool that somebody made it into a NES rom instead of just making music
I miss the old RUclips when it wasn't about money or clickbait, it was just people having stupid fun.
Well said.
Greed changes many people, but we'll wait for them to change their attitude when they start losing money.
ikr
Well said.
N DelaPaz Depends on where you look. Some people are garbage Jake Paulers but there are still some quality RUclipsrs out there.
Sorry, Daft, but Punk is in another castle.
wow
this didn't aged well...
oof
at 1.5 it sounds like boss fight with low life bar
Yeah better at 1.5
Eh, not so much with me.
nothing is better at that speed so STOP
treat trick wow rude

1:49 Best part in my opinion. ;3
Starting there is the only time I even like the original song lol.
brandon meng lol x2 *X3*
You forgot word "honest":P
Иван Мансуров Nah, I didn't.
Thats my fav too!
This is way closer to true 8-bit music than most of the '8-bit' remix on youtube.
Hey Lord, thanks! Probably because this _is_ true 8-bit, in that it's using the (emulated) NES chip, no fake stuff allowed here

Oh no.. a purist.
This is the one video that got me into chiptune music.
Agreed...
12 years later, this is still the best 8 bit remix of this song.
Да! Это точно
everything sounds better in 8 bit XD

Dan Roberts 16bit, I believe. But hey, I could be wrong

I love that echo that some of the snes songs have. Like the one that is starting at 1:49, it makes it fell much more epic.
Dude is still leaving hearts what a g
Some bits sound like the original Spelunky.
So true
Man, you just caught me!
This needs more views.
Honestly I believe this is one of the best song to 8-bit remixes out there.
GG, notube4me.
I know most of the other 8bit remixes sound like midi's but this sounds like an original NES soundtrack. I'm hooked to this.

amazing work on that tracker-tune ;)

I'd like to think there is an alternate reality out there where a Daft Punk NES game exists and this is the soundtrack for the final level.
When Mario dances to HARDER BETTER FASTER STRONGER. Edit: mostly at 1:49
i love how it has the "homework" cover instead of the "discovery" one. great job though.
Legend of Daft Punk, Super Daft Bros,Megadaft, Daft Hunt, I could keep going
It's fine child I'll come pick you up
This is some good shit for real! Great work!!

Omg its 407
I doubt they remember commenting this lmao

Like this, brilliant job. I'd happily commit this to my ChipTune collection.
This would actually make for a very good menu theme in an NES game
Sounds like it’s strait out of a mega man. There’s nothing anybody can say to convince me otherwise!
O M G MY GOD THIS WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVED ME
Always great to see actual ROMs playing of what people have sequenced rather than a cheap GXSCC track.
I also came here searching 8-bit daft punk
This remix is SICK! Keep up the good work! Love it! Love it!
For the full effect, watch in 144p.
No watch it in 8p

Ha sarcasm, if it was an actual video i would agree, but its just text and music, why complain?
The NES outputs 240p. I know it's a joke but I read the same joke under every 8-bit music video.
Or just get the ROM and flash it on a repro cart
I wish you did this on the SNES and used actual samples of the voices. That would've been even cooler IMO. (This is still amazing though, esp. in 2009)
Jirard the Completionist brought me here :P

+Brandon MacEachern Yep, you can run this nsf on actual hardware, done it with D-Pad hero on my NES console (repro cartridge)
It's a NES ROM, played on a NES emulator, Nestopia.
How the hell can you say this is C64?
This plays inside your computer head EVER FUUCKING DAY! XD
This is awesome. I now want to take on the final boss whilst dancing in a confetti blizzard.
Oh, wow. I was totally not expecting this to be pulled off so well. I heartily approve.

You have combined two of my favorite sounds in the world- Daft Punk and 8-bit.
