he really did....he played it in a different key and changed the order of the verses and yet somehow it was like they meant it that way....very cool and profesional....and yet spontanious
Roger seems like he was in one of his manic periods when he was on that show. Such a brilliant man, a shame he could never hold on to his mind and keep up with his thoughts.
Both men were absolute talents, and I love both of their songs that they sung. That said, I think they both partook some things in Roger's briefcase that he was famous for taking with him.
Notorious motorheads they were. Goes to show not everyone who partakes in drugs is an amoral , useless flake. Some of the people I admire most wear off their head on one substance or another half the time
Roger Miller was a natural born entertainer
Cannot be replaced.
Roger Miller And Johnny Cash RIP.
What talents they were!!! Both were great musicians with a wonderful entertaining value. Gone but Not forgotten. RIP Roger and John R. /CD
😅
Dream come true. Legend next to an underrated legend. Roger should've been as popular as Johnny cash. RIP to both
I envy anyone that was in that audience! What a pair of Legends!
Pair of Kings
That'll put a smile on your face
Wow , I love the good natured banter between Roger and Johnny 😄
Best version of walk the line i ever heard
I wish he could have finished it
Johnny did a good job with Rogers's song.

Two buddies, two guitars, just havin some hillbilly fun 😁🙏🏻
Hilarious! Two of my favorite musicians ever. Any time my family gets together some Miller or Cash is bound to ensue.
That's the way some.do it, take some cash and buy some Miller
Don't know if this was the origins of "Ruby Falls" by Johnny Cash, but it's an excellent song by him...
2 absolute legends

Ring of Fire And Nester
Questa è storia.
Legendary
Legends.
No doubt they were both speeding their balls off and still sound better than anything today!!!
Can we get a restored version of this playing on a loop as a display in the Smithsonian?
Timeless.

I agree. Great f^ckin’ comment.
John looks like he was coked up
I loved Roger Miller but was not to keen on Johnny Cash ,his voice was to deep for me.
