Brenda Lee was singing at the Calgary Stampede in the late 80's(maybe 1990). Roger was also performing there and came to her and complained about his voice. She gave him the number of her throat specialist in Nashville. He had advanced cancer and nothing could be done. Roger, unfortunately, was a heavy smoker.

Definitely filmed in early to mid 64, notice the cover of Roger's album Roger and Out when he starts singing. Released in 1964.
Well-spotted and thank you

Lori Collins...the ultimate teen-queen.
1964
You notice hardly nobody does any covers on His songs
REM did with "King of the road"
@@murraymims120 Loads of singers did his songs including Jim Reeves, George Jones, Ray Price, kd Lang, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson and plenty more.
This is amazing. Is there any chance you have any clips from The Roger Miller TV Show? It is lost right now.
Probably erased the tapes
I'm curious about the year this was made. Could it have been 1964?
Not sure. Seems a little late. My guess is '62 or so. Wish I knew!

Glen Campbell could sing with the best of them and was as good.
