Thanks for watching this experiment to see how much water an FMS balloon can hold. (Never overfill in clinical practice!) Check out our other shorts to see how much a Foley balloon held...
A fecal management system (FMS) is a fully closed system that collects and contains liquid or semi-liquid stools and can assist in the prevention of fecal contamination of the environment.
Fecal management system. A tube is placed in your rectum so that it may collect the feces in a drainage bag. The bags Ive seen are self sealed (once removed). This is usually indicated for patients with healing sacral wounds, patients with mobility issues, and fecal incontinence.

Been watching you for years and this is your best video yet.
It burst like my fecal system does in the morning.
I know that feeling thanks to my laparascopic right hemicolectomy that I had a year ago.
@@michaezell4607 ouch :(
hope you're doing okay.
Me even if I drink just one cup of coffee…
It looked like a boob implant😂
Never would have imagined that!
I doubt the colon would have held that much
I swear to God if I saw in the chart math that someone had a balloon = 1400ml... 🤦♂️🚨🚨 😂
Great (and uncomfortable looking) experiment!
A liter and a half!! Now we know!
The Foley balloon was history long before reaching these numbers.
Please someone tell me what that FMS is for .
