Can you imagine being the young violinist sitting in the midst of all that talent? That is a story she will be telling her grandchildren. Maybe, by now, she already has.
I wonder if the young violinist knew just how special the company she was keeping was that night. I bet she's watched this over and over through the years.
I can't conceive anyone better at impressions he was truly given a gift; I even met him once after a show in Cleveland Ohio at a restaurant he and his crew visited.
When I was a young lad I always used to look up to Rich Little because he nailed Johnny Carson (no pun) and then Dana Carvey took it to another level. Incredibly talented ...both of them.
That was just a priceless clip. It had absolutely everything. The silent young musician just taking it all in, not really believing she was even there. The legend himself, the great Jack Benny doing classic schtick, with her violin. Hope she still has that instrument! If I am not mistaken we would lose Jack before that year was out. And Rich Little just simply at the peak of his talent. Best part of all of that, for me was when Rich so smoothly morphs his classic Jimmy Stewart impression directly into VP Spiro T. Agnew. Wow. Gotta watch that one again. Great TV was had by all. 📺
Wonderful stuff. No one else did the George Burns impression that I know of--singing--no less. That alone, was worth watching this clip, but the Agnew imitation was fun just to see Jack and Johnny go crazy about it.
I bet the young violinist when she went back to school the next day her friends were asking her what did you do last night? And she said I was on the tonight show with Johnny Carson and Rich Little and Jack Benny were there, and her friends laughed said no that's very funny what you really do last night?
To which, she replied: "I was Demonically possessed and STILL AM!" and proceeded to eat her friends, in a Demon fueled rit of fealuos jage. Edit: She, also, played some lovely Violin Dinner Music, while consuming her friends. Wooden Shoe?
@8:36 -- Jack Benny refused to move over for the next guest. Jack Benny has done that more than once, on The Tonight Show. So someone (a friend, family member, colleague, staff member, etc) must have pointed out to him that he should have moved over for the next guest -- and yet Benny repeated that insult on his next Tonight Show appearance. For anyone familiar with The Tonight Show, or any other shows that bring in guest after guest, have you ever seen a guest refuse to give up the seat next to the host, for the incoming guest? Benny was either clueless or inconsiderate. I suspect that it is the latter. Why? When he appeared with Mel Blanc, not only did Benny not move over to let Blanc sit next to Johnny, Benny kept interrupting Blanc. Yes, from time-to-time, a guest will jump in to the conversation with the new guest. But Benny conducted himself as if he was still the current guest. Benny comes across to me as consumed with his own ego, oblivious to the proper etiquette of having good manners. I suspect that he also simply did not care. He would rather sit next to the host, and that's that.
I absolutely have to Agree with you. Most or shall I say all Hollywood gentlemen were naturally classy , elegant and charrning. However, Jack Benny seemed completely narcissistic and totally not classy for a second. I found him totally Boring and Unfunny, Big Time. ...
Carson's biggest anti-Little ally was Paul Lynde. Carson did eventually ban Little from his show but needed a substantial, public reason to justify the action and needed sufficient clout with the network. This airing was early enough in Carson's Tonight Show career that none of that had happened yet. Carson's sensitivity was to his being imitated on shows other than his own in unflattering ways.
Exactly !!! Stupid people make false assumptions to give themselves or: Mental Attention seeking , Or Total Senseless Assumptions of celebrities he will and couldnt ever meet in his silly little low-life BS
There will never be another Rich Little in my lifetime...he is simply a genius with voices.
I had the pleasure of seeing Johnny, Jack and Rich in person on different occasions.

maybe Benny signed the violin later
I just typed the very same comment , then i scrolled down and read yours.
Absolutely Brilliant !!!!....Rich Is In A League All By Himself !!!....Rich Little Is The Undisputed Greatest Impressionist of All-Time !!!!!.....
I agree! He's so much fun to watch because he's so good! He is definitely in a league all his own!! 😊👍👏👏
@@lynettepalecek3141 We're Definitely On The Same Page !!!.....
Hands down the best in ANY era.
Damn, Jack has to shake Rich’s hand after the Agnew impression. That’s an ultimate honor.
Jack Benny is so good and spot-on I couldn't tell the difference
Johnny Carson: A Legend. Jack Benny: A Legend. Rich Little: A Legend. All together at one time. Amazing!
can see them all together on the Dean Marin roast of Johnny Carson
@@weeteelabahbyronbay1843 Definitely! I've watched all the roasts. They're great!
@@SuperGuitarDude7 Yes, I grew up watching these guys.
Doubt we will ever see the same again. They had class.

It's a shame Jack Benny died just a year later!
Imagine that lucky young lady in between these legendary heavyweights and the stories she can tell her grandchildren.
I can't conceive anyone better at impressions he was truly given a gift; I even met him once after a show in Cleveland Ohio at a restaurant he and his crew visited.
He nailed all of them, and all the rest...I love his Jimmy Stewart.
nobody did it better -
rich little and frank gorshin were the best comedian impersonators

Rich Little amazes me. Such a talented, funny, and seemingly very nice man.
A real old fashioned, gent.
Rich Little not only you do Johnny Carson mannerism so good. but you do his voice so well that I think it's Johnny when I close my eyes!
They should've move along and give the main chair for
Rich. Rich was awkward for seconds when no one was moving towards left.
Rich Little is so talented
Yes he is!!

Jack doesn't move over for anybody. Rich almost sat on his lap.
Rich little is the best!
I watched many of your videos and subbed. Thanks for videos.
Fantastic
I love his walk
What a great george burns....skit
Jack Benny always puts me in mind of Kevin Spacey.
Wish they wouldn't change the MUSIC!
Awesome!!!
now i know why my late father would stay up every night to see johnny.
He'sperfect
Awesome❤️
Too funny!
Back then there were plenty of people with voices to imitate.Where did THEY go?Maybe Seinfeld nowadays is it.
Just for the record, Rich Little does a hilarious Joe Biden impression these days.
His best impression is of Ronald reagan
Does anybody remember laughter
Can't believe rich little is 85 were does time go
What did Jack say before Rich says "if they can do it I can do it?" 5:06

Rich Little is still going. wonder about the little violinist?
aha...she IS! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dylana_Jenson
Wow... was never that impressed with Little, but Spiro Agnew? Zounds that was good!
I think you stand alone on your comment. Perhaps your hearing is not that good.
I don't understand. If Johnny disliked Rich so much, why did he continue to have him on the show ? I heard Jack didn't like Rich Little either.
There was something that happened on the Flip Wilson show when Rich Little was doing Carson and others celebrities.
Carson's biggest anti-Little ally was Paul Lynde. Carson did eventually ban Little from his show but needed a substantial, public reason to justify the action and needed sufficient clout with the network.
