Every time I see MT stopping someone who is really strong repeatedly I can only imagine those ridiculously large bone spurs shredding his bicep tendons. Crazy how what was a strength of his for years became a liability in the end

I support Todd but Devon took his soul he has never been the same he exposed his weakness when he was training with Larry wheels still wish him the best one thing about arm wrestling you can always bounce back age is not as much a factor as in most other sports he has plenty off time
He actually looked very strong here, look how easily he stopped Genadi on round one. But east vs west rules didn’t allow MT to fully commit to his king’s move, that made him unable to climb on Genadi’s hand. If it were WAL rules, I think MT would tire him out and win the match.

Michael wasn’t climbing aggressively the way he did in WAL. He was always climbing and advancing his hand rather than just hanging on and pronating while turned over.
You basically have entirely summarized the reason he lost all 3 rounds.
@@nickd.7267 yeah it is so different looking at the first few seconds of a match when I WAL vs recently. Michael would hit and pull backwards then rise and rise and climb and climb until he was on top of your hand and then he’d sit back and let you tire yourself out then transition and press. Now he sits back and gets turned over immediately and tries to probate his way out of an enormous hole and it’s too much. Can’t let yourself get turned over against guys like Genadi, you’re never getting your hand position back.
@@johnhorner1969 it's only possible if your riser is strong enough. That's why Devon talks about it so much. I just don't he was able to this match because of how strong Genadi is. If he just forgot then that's just silly
@@boxman_ninja0819 Genadi is strong but I don’t think he has an elite riser strength. I think MT’s loss against Genadi is more about Michael’s nerve damage and inability to rise then it is about anybody else’s ability to rise. If that makes sense.

Michael is his own worst enemy. He spends way too much time being happy about a temporary winning position and looking at the opponent feeling confident and talking, when he should instead put that time towards focusing ENTIRELY ON WINNING, the actual match.
Get rid of that pride "holding neutral" nobody care if you're strong to hold neutral position against a beast... We care if you WIN, and you should too. That's the difference between these two fighters here. Genadi was entirely focused on concerned with nothing else except winning, and Michal was stopping to take pride in his strength.
Just as John Horner said, the fact he wasn't climbing allowed Genadi to climb to regain his wrist. Epic match though, both looked incredibly strong here.

@@AW.Experiment Because he didn't climb; gave up his side pressure by separating his hand too much. How much weight you can lift is one thing, putting somebody to the pad is something entirely different. Whether who is stronger, it just appeared to be quite the performance from both athletes. I'm non-denominational when it comes to imposing my fan rights amongst my picks, but to transparent defense of Michael Todd, he appeared as strong as he was big, Genadi just has incredible diversification and strength to follow such.

Looking back at this, I believe Devon will win Genadi since Devon has a stronger wrist than MMT.
Devon has the longer arm, longer hand and long fingers..and he is strong he is not losing his hand like michael does...the only way genadi wins is flash pins devon 3 times in a row.... or a flop wrist ....otherwise devon wins all day long

Hope devon could anticipate that hard and fast hit, it's very dangerous for him and the thing is, genadi doesn't rely on it like vitaly or ermes, he can pkay endurace game and suddenly hit that hard, it's crazy, the only way devon dominate this fight is by getting at least 50% stronger than he was from the last match with levan

Prudnik likely hits harder than Genadi, and Devon could stop him. Furthermore, Devon is way stronger than people give him credit for and Levan was probably on his strongest for their match.
@@hitbm4755 well not really, prudnik bent his wirst in the 1st round pre restart , but devon still have his hand control, so sometimes, there's a time when devon have to let go of his wrist a bit to control his opponent's hand, genadi is much stronger than prudnik so i guess devon have to play the give and take game, like he always did with a very powerful opponent

I know he does it to get in their heads, but I like to think no one can say he faced an unmotivated weaker version of that puller on the day. Genadi is pissed, and training like a madman, he's gonna be in the shape of his life. If Devon beats him it's gonna be epicccc. More impressive than Ermes or Jerry wins against Genadi.

The dfficulty with which Ginady pinned Michael in the first round does not bode well for him against Devon. Gennady had his hand and wrist and it still took him a bit to bring MMT down.

@@detectivejonesw I believe he would have won, if he didn't try to king's move. Revaz countered with flop press - another wacky move from opposite spectrum, which blew Todd's bicep. He showed in round one that he could contain Revaz in centre, so he should have fought for centre throughout.

Well, it seems that Genadi's false starts are really part of his game, it was not just with Dave, Jerry and recently with Devon.
Normally starts at the "ready", with the ref still with his hands on the athletes.
In this match he did false starts in all rounds. Strangelly, for some reason, the ref in the 1st match called a false start, a miracle lol
The refs need to do a better job and call them (pretty clear to naked eye), and have assistance from a VAR.
Every milisecond in armwrestling counts, specially at the get go... It's a shame!

He takes advantage of the imperfection of the rules and simply pulls the opponent down with his feet on the table. This is unpleasant to look at.
