  • Beth: When I would smile, I'd always go like this because at one point, I had an injury to my front tooth when I was a teenager. And about 10 years ago, I needed an implant and I had that done, not here but somewhere else, and was never happy with the appearance. It was right in the front and it looked terrible.
Dr. Nikki Green: Beth was one of those situations where she just had decades worth of dentistry in her mouth. Not neglect, she'd been taking good care of her teeth, but she had had crowns and fillings on this side, 10, 12 years ago, crowns and fillings on this side a year or two ago. What I know about dentistry is that technology has changed and the materials that we use has changed in that timeline. So, the crowns and fillings that were on one side of her mouth didn't look anything like the crowns and fillings that were on the other side. And so, she's one that we were able to give all new dentistry and really give her a smile and really change the overall appearance of her smile just by making sure that all the dentistry match. So, she was one of those cases where it wasn't neglect, it was just a matter of making all the dentistry match.
Beth: I had so much work in the past. I've had a lot of dental work throughout my life and you could see the old fillings, you could see this things. In this picture, it doesn't really capture that implant. The gum was very low on that one too so the implant looked much smaller than my other tooth. That smile makes me sad.
Dr. Green: Now, Beth has a gorgeous smile. Again, a beautiful woman always hid behind her smile. She had one tooth that was a little bit out of alignment and she's the one who as she would smile, the hand would go in front of the face. One of the things that I tell my patients with the full mouth rehabilitation is my goal is for you to come in here every 4-6 months and me just to patch you on the shoulder as I see you going down the hallway. One of my goals when we do a full mouth rehabilitation is to get them free of dentistry for many years to come because we've taken care of it all at once.
Beth: I was so thrilled with the results. So happy. It's amazing how it makes you feel like a brand new person. The process was wonderful, the people are wonderful, and they have a smile that makes you feel beautiful after years. I mean it, it's amazing.

Beth discusses how she was self conscious about her smile due to an injury she suffered when she was a teenager that left her with a front tooth that was damaged. Dr. Green discusses how a big part of what made Beth a good candidate for the full mouth rehabilitation procedure was because decades worth of dentistry in her mouth left her with inconsistencies such as dental crowns and fillings that were mismatched. With the full mouth rehabilitation we were able to provide her with
a fully reconstructed smile that she is proud to show off.
