My late husband and I were ordinance workers twice in between moves. Today I am a widow who is losing my sight. After Pres. Nelson's admonition to help gather Israel on both sides of the veil I went to my knees to ask for him to help me to be involved in the gathering. Withing a mere 2 weeks He arranged for a single lady to move into our ward just 2 houses down from me. She was wanting someone to attend the temple with her.. We now attend the temple every week doing 3 different ordinances each time. My prayer was answered as was her's. We have become very good friends and temple buddies. I can't see much, but my "temple buddy" and the ordanence workers halp me with that so I can help with the gathering of Israel. Thank you to all who give of their time to be ordanence workers. What a blessing. for them, for those beyond the veil and for us. The Lord helps us in our righteous desires to "stand in holy places."

I really appreciate your emphasis in this channel on temples. It is not appreciated enough. Heck, I don’t appreciate it enough (not going to say how often I go, but it’s a lot). There is still so much to uncover. There really is nothing like it. I believe that even when I don’t feel it, somehow the temple is going “through me” and transforming me. No one has plumbed the depths.

I believe, having given birth to 5 children, and EXPERIENCING labor pains, 2020 WAS the the “ hingepoint” in those labor pains…as Pres Nelson said in April gen conference. LABOR does have a hingepoint called TRANSITION! Its when labor is most painful w/o a pause. It IS a perfect analogy used by Apistle Paul to describe where the Kingdom of God on the earth today is preparing for the coming of the Kingdom of Heaven that Christ himself will bring and establish during his millenial reign. If 2020 marked the “ transition” or hingepoint, then we do NOT HAVE DECADES b4 Jesus comes; we have but FEW years. I believe this is WHY there is a huge increase in the temples! The work is being hastened to EMPOWER the Saints to withstand, the TRANSITION we are ALREADY IN! We have to wake up! We are sll enlisted in Lords battalion! He is calling those with ears to hear… so HE CAN ARM us with spiritual power thru LIVING our temple covenants to such an extent we will survive and help Him establish His Heavenly Kingdom!
Yes, there is some very deep significance in what President Nelson called the hingepoint. It ties in with the March 18 earthquake where Moroni drops his trumpet, the new symbol for the church, the proclamation of the restoration, that we no longer (mostly) put the angel Moroni on temples. I had a friend of yours come into my place of business here in St. George. It was an awesome experience when he asked me if I have ever heard of Randy Brown. Lol! I am in awe of how the Lord works.
❤My sister has been a temple worker for many years. Then the temples closed. When they opened back up she said it was like going home again. Though I can't go often I can feel the power of the temples here in Utah Valley.
I love this. 💛 I was inactive in the church for about a decade. When I was finally able to go back to the temple for the first time, I was surprised at the feeling of coming home. Of all the things I expected to feel, I hadn't even considered that! But it was nearly overpowering. That and a feeling of welcome and joy.
Elder Wilcox said that once Christ returns, we could have millions of people wanting baptisms. Then they will need temple work done for both themselves and their deceased family. So we need them for them. I am personally doing 3 hours a day 4 days a week at the temple. Yet e very time I think I am about done, I find more family needing work! I live in Salt Lake County and sometimes it is hard to find appointments available.

All these blessings are omly given to those who have made and keep sacred covenants. That is why temples are desperately needed to accommodate the great influx of people to the Savior's church upon His return.
My thoughts is that we probably don't realize today the significance of the blessing of "the power of God in Great Glory." I think of it as a battery being charged or the process of storing away lamp oil. Every time we attend the temple we are adding charge to our batteries, which power is needed now to some extent, but will be more fully drawn upon in the future. Again, I think we will understand more fully in hind sight as we see those blessings having come in magnificent ways not now fully realized.
I got to go to the Helena MT temple yesterday. It is the first of the modular temples. It was small but nice. The rooms were all multipurpose. The sealing room was also the endowment room. The initiatory was also where you get the new name. Because the rooms are multipurpose, then you need less temple workers to staff the temple. I believe that it is a proof of concept temple. I think these smaller temples are going to start being put up everywhere. Since they are modular, they will be able to be put up fast. I also think that when things go really crazy, the temples will be a place of refuge.
I agree with you 100%. I'm in a branch, and I would LOVE to have one of these small temples built so I could attend regularly. I can currently only get to the temple 2-3 times a year, if I'm lucky.
Our temple is under remodeling right now. I miss regular temple attendance so much. It is a long drive to the next nearest temples, we take a little mini vacation to one every couple of months and spend a couple of days serving. Not being able to go as often as we want makes our time in the House of the Lord SOOOO precious.

I hope and pray that we can make our temple visits and service more meaningful, more purposeful. Let us go with the intent to learn something new... to learn the Lord's will for us. Let us go with the intent to have our hearts changed, to become new creatures, to become true followers of Christ. Then will the savior endow us with power to overcome the challenges of this mortal world.
I live in Idaho and we have the Idaho Falls temple and the Rexburg and they are building another one in Ammon. Which is just beyond the Rexburg. And we have one in Pocatello and one in Twin Falls. Then we have another in close Wyoming
There needs to be endowed LEADERS in Zion, because even those who are not even members will be flocking to Zion for safety and peace from the wars and conflicts going on in the world. Yes there are many honest and good non-members who will survive and need Zion's protection. Thus we need faithful and endowed people who are armed with the Priesthood and can stand against the wiles of the devil.

it goes back 'recently' also to President Monson making a conference statement that the goal of the church is to have a Temple with 2 hrs from all members in the World. From a practical pont of view, in SLC❤ as well in lots of large metropolitan areas that, like in Washington DC❤, it could take 2 hrs just to get across town, let alone from an area '1 hr' distance wise from the Temple. This is why a Temple was built in ❤Richmond VA, Pitsburg, PA, another announced in Winchester VA . Here in Monterrey Mexico, we have reached a similar situation with htde Temple. Mexico City Metro area, I belive thwe number will be 5 in that metro area. '
I have been attending the Red Cliffs Utah Temple each Saturday, and I have talked to my bishop about the possibility of working at the Temple on Saturdays, he submitted my name to our Stake, although with the creation of a new stake I haven't heard anything, so I reminded my bishop at church this morning and he says he has to meet with the stake presidency and will ask them. I would like to serve on Saturday.
Maybe our Temples are set up differently, but I just had to call my Temple and share I wanted to be an ordinance worker, and they worked with me in shift options…
I agree the power of the lamb is the endowment and keeping our covenants. To live in Zion one will also have to live full celestial law: Law of consecration, patriarchal order, patriarchal marriage and anything else. 144k are part of the church of the firstborn meaning they have their calling elections made sure and the holy spirit of promise will seal up their ordances to everlasting covenants.
The “armed with righteousness” sounds to me as an Isaiah reference to the end-time servant or servants. The “power of God in great glory” sounds like “being sanctified by the spirit unto the renewing of our bodies”.

It is concerning my relationship with the Savior. We have been taught, even by Jesus Christ himself to pray to God in the name of Christ, and also that we must come unto Christ and to learn directly from him. How can we develop a relationship with him when we are only to pray to the Father?

I think Alma the Younger gives us the pattern (Alma 36:18) when he crys out to Jesus in his heart "O Jesus, thou Son of God, have MERCY on me" - if the Book of Mormon presents the PATTERNS and not the exceptions - this is a pattern! - this brought the experience of being born again/saved/justified I cried within my heart - is this the PATTERN of giving him our heart? - and having him give us a new heart? - is this the PATTERN of accepting Christ as our savior and being born again? - is this the PATTERN of inviting Christ into our hearts and receiving New Life in him? - Is this the PATTERN of having "His merits" imputed to our account? Although our formal prayers are directed to the Father, we can cry out to Jesus for mercy and grace. Do a search of the sacrament hymns and see how many of them are prayers of crying out to Jesus!

I wish we could go more than we are able to right now, for a while we were able to go about twice a month, but recently because of how far we live and other medical trips that have came up we've been only able to go once a month which has been hard and I have noticed the difference. Hopefully soon we'll be able to attend more, but we are trying to still make it a focus in our home.
Why so many temples? Because the world is getting more evil and the Saints will need places of safety where they can feel peace and be armed with the Spirit when they leave.
I love that all the temples are being built and remodeled. I can't wait to see the Logan temple in all of its glory after it's remodeled. Also, the Church probably wants to spend all of its money, because the economy is about to collapse.
I love temples and temple work. I believe it is a key preparation for the Savior’s return. I attend the temple 4 days a week, and worked in the temple for 5 1/2 years before they closed for COVID. This is not a criticism, but a question. The key word is “announced”. I just wonder why they announce temples often before they have any of the basic groundwork done? Sometimes no exact location, or basic approvals even done. What is so important about “announcing “ temples that they can’t wait until they are ready to get started on them?
My comments are with respect to 1 Nephi 14:13-17 and more specifically about verse 13-14 which you touched on. I agree with your assessments of it but wanted to add more color and depth for any who may be interested. V13 --> "And it came to pass that I beheld that the great mother of abominations did gather together multitudes upon the face of all the earth, among all the nations of the Gentiles, to fight against the Lamb of God." V14 --> "I, Nephi, beheld the power of the Lamb of God, that it descended upon the saints of the church of the Lamb, and upon the covenant people of the Lord, who were scattered upon all the face of the earth; and they were armed with righteousness and with the power of God in great glory." 1) V13 - First group is at war with the Lamb of God. 2) V14 - Second group: "the saints of the church of the Lamb", meaning members of the LDS church (and I think good people whether of a specific faith or not). 3) V15 - Third group: "upon the covenant people of the Lord": the returning Lost Tribes of Israel. This is further supported by v17 wherein it says, "at that day, the work of the Father shall commence in preparing the way for the fulfilling of his covenants, which he hath made to his people who are of the House of Israel." This fulfilling of the Father's covenants to the House of Israel is connected to the phrase "upon the covenant people of the Lord", who I interpret to mean the returning Lost Tribes of Israel. That fulfillment is spoken of over and over in the Book of Mormon. Look for variants of the word 'fulfilled' in connection with covenants. It's this very type of focused scripture study Pres. Nelson asked to do in his talk, Let God Prevail, wherein he asked to study our covenants for the next 6 months. He assured us if we did so, we would be astounded. I expect about 2% of the church undertook that exercise. About the same proportion of people among the Jews that accepted Christ. But I digress... Having said the above it is apparent that the Lord will pour out his spirit upon ALL nations and people who are His covenant people AND are righteous or who would be His covenant people if they could learn of it. The distinction here between those of the church of the Lamb and the Covenant people of the Lord is made to signify that the former group is here upon this earth and the latter are coming from heaven. Otherwise He would just lump them together without distinction. This compensatory priesthood power (see Neil A. Andersen's talk, A Compensatory Spiritual Power for the Righteous, given at a devotional in August of 2015 for more on this concept) will be needed by the righteous to combat all that the adversary and his minions will throw at them. Regardless of where we are on the earth, this compensatory priesthood power will be available. I believe that those who are not of the covenant and who are good people will also be similarly protected, by angels if necessary. This is done preparatory to the downfall of the whore of all the earth --> Babylon. This time is NOT YET because it alludes to the FULFILLING of his covenants unto the House of Israel in v17. xref w/Rev 17:15-17. The destruction of the 'mother of harlots, the great abominable church of all the earth, the whore of all the earth, Babylon' is THEE MOTHERLODE SIGN THAT 'THE WORK OF THE FATHER SHALL COMMENCE IN PREPARING A WAY FOR THE FULFILLING OF HIS COVENANTS WHICH HE HAS MADE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL'. Nephi saw that the great and abominable church would be destroyed before the Lord fulfilled His covenant to restore Israel, which fulfilling is the restoration of the Lost Tribes to the lands of their inheritance. This doctrine is taught everywhere in scripture. If you're not familiar with it, look for it! You can start with the Savior's msg to the Nephites in 3rd Nephi chapter 15 and wind it up in 3 Nephi 26. There are a few intervening chapters about other matters. But the overarching message of the Savior to the Nephites (AND MORE SO TO US!) is about the fulfilling of His covenants with the House of Israel. If you haven't perceived this, you have missed the most important of his message to the Nephites in these chapters. This is why the prophet told us to study these covenants. I testify to any who have read this far that the study and understanding of the Lord's culmination of his covenant relationship with the House of Israel is rivaled in importance only by taking part in the gathering of Israel.
I started typing up a schedule for different times during the day during the day for the week when I can take the 3 buses to the Taylorsvile House of the Lord . It’s an hour ride with 3 buses and 45 mins with just 2 buses.
Of course there is the possibility of many new converts, but do not discount that resurrected beings who return at the beginning of the millennium will have list of names going far further back than the limits of our genealogy work.
What to do if your partner doesn’t want you serve in the temple and he doesn’t really go to the temple It’s difficult cause he wants me to stay with him at home; and doesn’t put the Lord first
Why so many temples? There is a lot of work to do. 350 temples running 24x7 will not be enough to finish in time, even with the shorter endowment presentation.
There seems to be many in the Church today that have this notion that the Second Coming will occur in the next 7 years or so. For me, there is STILL so much missionary work that needs to be done that I do not see it happening that soon.

They will gather Israel in Power and Great GLORY! When great calamities are happening many will be ready to repent and these EMPOWERED SAINTS will gather in great numbers. This is the message of Isaiah.

Consider that the second coming is comprised of four groups of appearances 1. Adam-Ondi-Ahman 2. Coming suddenly to his temple in the New Jerusalem 3. Mount of Olives in Old Jerusalem 4. To the whole world at the great and dreadful day. It is a process that takes years and is replete with missionary work. We are admonished to prepare and watch.

There are people I've personally met, and people in the public forum whom the spirit has told me that the Lord has put them into gentile positions for His purposes. Ex: Alex Jones has done a great work revealing the secret combinations destroying Christ believers, I have no doubt the Lord put him into that position to save countless lives from the secret works done in secret chambers of our own government. DC 38:13 & 28
Zion is to be sanctified. The pure in heart. Sanctification precedes the entire purpose of the priesthood and the temple, which is to see the face of God. That is the fulness of the gospel. Isaiah saw our temple attendance and said we are like the ancient sacrificial animals treading down his courts without knowing what the true purpose of the temple actually is. I am concerned that some of the most "faithful" members will actually reject the fulness of the gospel because of unbelief. Unbelief in what Isaiah and the Book of Mormon warns us about.

The initiatory was also where you get the new name. Because the rooms are multipurpose, then you need less temple workers to staff the temple. I believe that it is a proof of concept temple. I think these smaller temples are going to start being put up everywhere. Since they are modular, they will be able to be put up fast.
I also think that when things go really crazy, the temples will be a place of refuge.
I agree with you 100%. I'm in a branch, and I would LOVE to have one of these small temples built so I could attend regularly. I can currently only get to the temple 2-3 times a year, if I'm lucky.
Our temple is under remodeling right now. I miss regular temple attendance so much. It is a long drive to the next nearest temples, we take a little mini vacation to one every couple of months and spend a couple of days serving. Not being able to go as often as we want makes our time in the House of the Lord SOOOO precious.

it goes back 'recently' also to President Monson making a conference statement that the goal of the church is to have a Temple with 2 hrs from all members in the World. From a practical pont of view, in SLC❤ as well in lots of large metropolitan areas that, like in Washington DC❤, it could take 2 hrs just to get across town, let alone from an area '1 hr' distance wise from the Temple. This is why a Temple was built in ❤Richmond VA, Pitsburg, PA, another announced in Winchester VA . Here in Monterrey Mexico, we have reached a similar situation with htde Temple. Mexico City Metro area, I belive thwe number will be 5 in that metro area. '

I have been attending the Red Cliffs Utah Temple each Saturday, and I have talked to my bishop about the possibility of working at the Temple on Saturdays, he submitted my name to our Stake, although with the creation of a new stake I haven't heard anything, so I reminded my bishop at church this morning and he says he has to meet with the stake presidency and will ask them. I would like to serve on Saturday.

I think Alma the Younger gives us the pattern (Alma 36:18) when he crys out to Jesus in his heart "O Jesus, thou Son of God, have MERCY on me"
- if the Book of Mormon presents the PATTERNS and not the exceptions
- this is a pattern!
- this brought the experience of being born again/saved/justified
I cried within my heart
- is this the PATTERN of giving him our heart?
- and having him give us a new heart?
- is this the PATTERN of accepting Christ as our savior and being born again?

Although our formal prayers are directed to the Father, we can cry out to Jesus for mercy and grace.

I wish we could go more than we are able to right now, for a while we were able to go about twice a month, but recently because of how far we live and other medical trips that have came up we've been only able to go once a month which has been hard and I have noticed the difference. I love that all the temples are being built and remodeled. I can't wait to see the Logan temple in all of its glory after it's remodeled. Also, the Church probably wants to spend all of its money, because the economy is about to collapse.
I love temples and temple work. I believe it is a key preparation for the Savior’s return. I attend the temple 4 days a week, and worked in the temple for 5 1/2 years before they closed for COVID.
This is not a criticism, but a question. The key word is “announced”. I just wonder why they announce temples often before they have any of the basic groundwork done? Sometimes no exact location, or basic approvals even done. What is so important about “announcing “ temples that they can’t wait until they are ready to get started on them?

My comments are with respect to 1 Nephi 14:13-17 and more specifically about verse 13-14 which you touched on. I agree with your assessments of it but wanted to add more color and depth for any who may be interested. V13 --> "And it came to pass that I beheld that the great mother of abominations did gather together multitudes upon the face of all the earth, among all the nations of the Gentiles, to fight against the Lamb of God." V14 --> "I, Nephi, beheld the power of the Lamb of God, that it descended upon the saints of the church of the Lamb, and upon the covenant people of the Lord, who were scattered upon all the face of the earth; and they were armed with righteousness and with the power of God in great glory."
1) V13 - First group is at war with the Lamb of God.
2) V14 - Second group: "the saints of the church of the Lamb", meaning members of the LDS church (and I think good people whether of a specific faith or not).
3) V15 - Third group: "upon the covenant people of the Lord": the returning Lost Tribes of Israel. This is further supported by v17 wherein it says, "at that day, the work of the Father shall commence in preparing the way for the fulfilling of his covenants, which he hath made to his people who are of the House of Israel." This fulfilling of the Father's covenants to the House of Israel is connected to the phrase "upon the covenant people of the Lord", who I interpret to mean the returning Lost Tribes of Israel. That fulfillment is spoken of over and over in the Book of Mormon. Look for variants of the word 'fulfilled' in connection with covenants. It's this very type of focused scripture study Pres. Nelson asked to do in his talk, Let God Prevail, wherein he asked to study our covenants for the next 6 months. He assured us if we did so, we would be astounded. I expect about 2% of the church undertook that exercise. About the same proportion of people among the Jews that accepted Christ. But I digress...
Having said the above it is apparent that the Lord will pour out his spirit upon ALL nations and people who are His covenant people AND are righteous or who would be His covenant people if they could learn of it. The distinction here between those of the church of the Lamb and the Covenant people of the Lord is made to signify that the former group is here upon this earth and the latter are coming from heaven. Otherwise He would just lump them together without distinction.
This compensatory priesthood power (see Neil A. Andersen's talk, A Compensatory Spiritual Power for the Righteous, given at a devotional in August of 2015 for more on this concept) will be needed by the righteous to combat all that the adversary and his minions will throw at them. Regardless of where we are on the earth, this compensatory priesthood power will be available. I believe that those who are not of the covenant and who are good people will also be similarly protected, by angels if necessary. This is done preparatory to the downfall of the whore of all the earth --> Babylon. This time is NOT YET because it alludes to the FULFILLING of his covenants unto the House of Israel in v17. xref w/Rev 17:15-17.
The destruction of the 'mother of harlots, the great abominable church of all the earth, the whore of all the earth, Babylon' is THEE MOTHERLODE SIGN THAT 'THE WORK OF THE FATHER SHALL COMMENCE IN PREPARING A WAY FOR THE FULFILLING OF HIS COVENANTS WHICH HE HAS MADE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL'. Nephi saw that the great and abominable church would be destroyed before the Lord fulfilled His covenant to restore Israel, which fulfilling is the restoration of the Lost Tribes to the lands of their inheritance. This doctrine is taught everywhere in scripture. If you're not familiar with it, look for it! You can start with the Savior's msg to the Nephites in 3rd Nephi chapter 15 and wind it up in 3 Nephi 26. There are a few intervening chapters about other matters. But the overarching message of the Savior to the Nephites (AND MORE SO TO US!) is about the fulfilling of His covenants with the House of Israel. If you haven't perceived this, you have missed the most important of his message to the Nephites in these chapters. This is why the prophet told us to study these covenants. I testify to any who have read this far that the study and understanding of the Lord's culmination of his covenant relationship with the House of Israel is rivaled in importance only by taking part in the gathering of Israel.

There are people I've personally met, and people in the public forum whom the spirit has told me that the Lord has put them into gentile positions for His purposes.
Ex: Alex Jones has done a great work revealing the secret combinations destroying Christ believers, I have no doubt the Lord put him into that position to save countless lives from the secret works done in secret chambers of our own government.

Zion is to be sanctified. The pure in heart. Sanctification precedes the entire purpose of the priesthood and the temple, which is to see the face of God. That is the fulness of the gospel.
Isaiah saw our temple attendance and said we are like the ancient sacrificial animals treading down his courts without knowing what the true purpose of the temple actually is.
I am concerned that some of the most "faithful" members will actually reject the fulness of the gospel because of unbelief. Unbelief in what Isaiah and the Book of Mormon warns us about.
