- What happens after we die? How is the gospel preached to those who are dead? What did Christ do while in the Spirit World? Joseph F. Smith, the sixth president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, had a vision to answer such questions. This vision is now recorded in Doctrine and Covenants section 138.

The knowledge that your family members and ancestors can repent and live with God again even after they have died is such a beautiful and wonderful doctrine that has been lost to modern Christianity. It shows that God is a just and loving Father. I'm so glad that we have this doctrine again!

I am 95, baptized in 1953. I wish everybody could have had the spectacular confirmation I received that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is truly His restored gospel. In my long life I have encountered many detractors. To those who think that way I say life goes by like a streak of lightning and the light will dawn for everyone soon enough. Please know, however, that Our Heavenly Father loves all 8 billion of us.

In March/April 2023 I was in Salt Lake for the first time. I visited the Beehive house and stood in the room where President Joseph F. Smith had the vision. I felt the spirit confirming the truth of this vision. What a blessing this is for all mankind who and lived and will live on the earth.

@@seyioyetade Thankfully, no. There are many, many experiences of Christ speaking those people all around the world. You should read the Book of Mormon and the Bible. It recounts God speaking to ancient people of the Americas and the middle east. There's also a book called He Walked the Americas that details experiences ancient North, Central, and South Americans have had with Him as He's visited their countries and taught His message. He speaks to all.

This great man, probably more distraught than I will ever know, when all seemed lost, he went to the scriptures as we are all directed to do. And what happens? He received one of the greatest visions ever given. I believe he was well deserving of that privilege.

What a great use of drone footage, artifacts, well-sourced documentary clips, photos, and artwork to enhance learning of a vital principle, life after death! Thank you so much. I was recently in Salt Lake City Cemetery and found myself positively befuddled, even with a map, to make any sense of the place. After hours of disappointment, I resigned myself to return the next day to try again. Blessedly, this time, a grave digger was divinely appointed to run into me and sweetly took me to each of my six ancestors' grave locations that I was unable to locate the previous day, two of whom were found to not even have any markers anymore. I have since determined that the pull I felt to honor them by visiting their resting place was to make sure their graves get markers for fellow ancestors like me to be able to find their graves a little easier.
Beautiful. I'm trying to become less myopic in the mortal realm. I know we can't make it through without the vision & faith of what joy lies beyond this realm.
The final shaking is upon us. The dollar is being destroyed. But I praise the Lord & pray that America will remember their covenant to the Most High God.

I appreciate the historical context this video offers, but I wish it had focused a bit more on the actual doctrine of the vision, particularly the state of misery of the wicked and the fact that Christ did not go to them personally, but organized his forces and gave them authority to go unto them to preach the gospel. It would have been a good idea to also tie this in to Temple work, and the opportunity to perform the saving ordinances of baptism and family sealings on behalf of those who never had the opportunity to recieve them during their mortal lives. But overall it was a good video.
I died and went to straight home to God. Jesus escorted me, and He was with me the entire time. God Himself was hidden behind mist and light. I knew that this meant I was dead and would be sent back. The angels were there, and most looked like beings of light.
But from this world, ONLY my family who were in Christ were there. I knew that many were missing, that they were supposed to be there, but they did not accept Christ. My great-grandfather was front and center to greet me. He was so young and was absolutely perfect (he died when I was 11 months old). Holding onto my right arm were four children, which I believe were my grandchildren, yet to be born, and yet to die.
I don't remember our conversations, but afterward, Jesus turned me around and sent me back.
This is not the only time that I most thoroughly died, but it's the one I remember the best.

I've been to the Afterlife. Jesus was there, my Christian relatives were there. I didn't get to actually see God or the rest of heaven (it was all white and clouds), and I was sent back. Got to see my great-grandfather and my grandchildren. For me, it was not about going to heaven, it was about going to God -- I was home.
You were not there long enough to go to the judgment...

When I died, Jesus was there. He escorted me straight home to Father God. Of course, I could not see God because of His Glory, and I knew that this meant that I would be sent back. I meant my family who had died in Christ, and I got to see my grandchildren. I knew that many people were missing, that they were supposed to be there, but they never accepted Christ. Reflections - that wasn’t my question. As her children, why are we forbidden from learning more about her, talk to her or have a relationship with her? What’s her role? Does she share dominion with the father as a goddess, queen and priestess?
So Heavenly Mother has no authority, so that’s the reason we can’t talk to her and have a relationship with her. Heavenly Father doesn’t want that? I can have a close relationship with my earthly mother and father, but not my Heavenly Mother.
I've always thought it was interesting that Smith mentions that he claims to have seen all of the previous church presidents except Lorenzo Snow in D&C 138.
So when we die is the veil not completely lifted? Otherwise wouldn’t those who are in spirit prison remember the plan from before?

According to the scriptures, our memories premortality are not fully restored until the resurrection - see Alma 11:41-45

Why doesn't the church own these books?
If imm/unity is from God as the God cell is the crown/corona what you were born with and if it is the unity of all as one truth starts eternal life, then the truth is I am im/mortal. I did not except the anti christ way by allowing them to kill my God cell, I did not allow them to convince me to deny my God. By the truth of your heart is your crown. If Jesus is the body who experienced the Will of the father, then Jesus lived to protect his Will and if the Will of the father came to experience The Body Of Christ, then he is here to protect his Body. That also means you are the Will of the father experiencing/witnessing firsthand how he by Will protect The Body. IMM stands for I am that I am.

My Second Great Grandfather Isssc Groo was buried in the Salt Lake City Cemetary SLC Utah. He practice polygamy and his wives are buried there. I was born in American Fork Utah. I have lots of family members in Utah including my living distant cousins living in UT.

Correct, it was used as a residence by several early church Presidents, including Brigham Young and later Joseph F. Smith.
My spirit can't lie to me that the lds church is not true. I accepted Jesus christ long ago before I begin to learn his teachings. Thus, I found the lds teaching so pure that I couldn't ignore. Pure doctrines of christ even my spirit bear withness to me that Jesus christ has restored his living church. Now even if the president of the church now, leave the church I won't leave because he leaved.
