Has GW ever backpedaled on unit names? Maybe by 11th edition jump intercessors could be renamed to something less generic. Either that or drop them to battleline. Same thing with infiltrators. Rename them and make them battleline. Raven guard might find a use for that.
Heavy Intercessors are the best out of all of these. I don't make the rules here, if you wear Gravis you're automatically better than other Space Marines.
@@LordCrate-du8zm Okay, lets go there. Get ready for my s e e t h i n g opinions on Gravis. Gravis was introduced by GW very obviously to be 'Primaris Terminator' armor. It has been stated that its protective abilities are comparable to Terminator, even. You can see this on Tabletop by Gravis having *1 more Toughness* than Terminator. To GW Gravis was supposed to be that new age Terminator- but it seemingly didn't work, and for my two cents, that is stupid. Probably because it failed to capture the essence of Terminator armor, it didn't look like a walking tank, it just looks like Tacticus pattern power armor with an eating disorder. It's lore and its design doesn't back up the fact that its supposed to be as powerful as the sacred Terminator. Remember, Gravis was introduced back when GW was moronically hamfisting a difference between Firstborn and Primaris. "Oh no, only FIRSTBORN can go in this vehicle." or "Oh no, only PRIMARIS can use this item!" GW was drawing pointless lines in the sand. Now, Primaris people wanted Terminator-esque armor. They wanted that walking tank. Now, back then, GW wasn't just going to give it to them, that'd blur the line between Primaris and Firstborn. So they made Gravis. And because Primaris models are often just old models but less cool (Refresh Sanguinary Guard vs old Sanguianry Guard, Land Raider vs Impulsors...) Gravis is just lamer Terminator armor, because its borderline as good as Terminator, with absolutely none of the cool factor. Nowadays GW is having to deal with the fact they introduced it as effectively 'Modern Terminator armor' and it absolutely failing at that goal, so they made actual 'modern Termiantor armor', and now they have Gravis and Terminator and way too much overlap so they're shifting Gravis away but dont want to hard retcon it being Primaris Terminator armor. So you now, standard Space Marine bloat and GW writing. Thats my rant.
@@moderndavinci6599 I see. I disagree that they're overlapping though. Terminators can teleport in, smash some stuff with their power fists, and cause lots of problems. They break enemy lines and can hold their ground. Gravis (aside from Inceptors) do not have that mobility and instead rely on their sheer defensive capabilities to act more defensively. Only Aggressors have any sort of melee weapons, the rest are just tough gunline units or anti-tank specialists.
