I think Iron Warriors look better with mkiii & cataphractii armors than as chaos legionnaires painted in Iron Warriors colors.

Cato sucks? Uh. No. Cato Sicarius is fantastic. He's just not an auto-take as he competes with Calgar and Ventris. Cato is exceptional in Vanguard Spearhead deployment when you run him with Company Heroes. He provides Scout 6" which can carry over to an impulsor if you need to get somewhere quickly. The Scout 6" by itself means you can save an entire impulsor's worth of points to get 21 wounds, -1 wound, 10 OC, and -1 to hit with auto cover at 12" onto an objective. That's before considering that Knight Champion of Macragge allows you to deny a charge, then open fire with all the Company Hero weapons before making your own charge to take the objective back with your OC10. Don't take my word for it, the last two Ultramarine tournament winners were running Cato. You push Ventris + Heroes to the main fight for the stratagem cost and you push Cato + Heroes to your side's easy objective where your opponent likely can't commit enough resources to push him off and he locks the section down all game.

Gravis armour (without the big dumb aggressor Popeye hands) was love at first sight for me, the legs really do carry the models aesthetics. they look exactly as sturdy as they often are

This is by far the best way to play 40k, especially if you lean into the randomness of traits and weapon mods. The stories just happen, and the variety of randomly selected narrative missions and specific scoring rules make competitive power gaming that much less important (and therefore also less obnoxious)

I tried using the combi weapons against Custodes and they worked pretty well, I think one deathbrick of 10 using combi weapons and led by Azrael for the Sustained hits 1 and Invuln. Anti Infantry 4 and Devastating Wounds does a number on elite infantry.

Liking pulse blasters over rifles is actually crazy to me, but I can respect that. Gameplay wise they’re certainly better, but I’ve always thought the longer slick appearance of rifles was better, but I can totally see where you’re coming from too.

Solid list, kinda based that I agree with pretty much everything here except for the 30k Dark Angel companions guys, I think they should be in B-Tier. Also, despite the fact that I don't think I've ever seen it, I knew exactly what the you meant when you said the Iron Priest Helmet looked like a Mod Wolf (probably due to having some british friends) and now I can't unsee it. Further cementing that it belongs in D-Tier.

No Alpha Legion? Well, makes sense, you'd have to make an entirely new tier above S tier for them! Their standard helmets look fantastic, their character helmets are crazy good, but their Head Hunter Kill Team heads? The Fangs with the tactical eyepieces? Perfection.

I'm hoping the Apothecary, Bladeguard Vet, and various Dark Angels helmets get at least A tier. I wasn't expecting to like them as much as I do when I first got into the hobby.

The only thing to not like about the Land Raider is that is is named that because the 'techpriest' who 'invented it' had the surname "Land", which sounds dumb as hell.

The 3 different versions of Krieg Troopers are all S tier, but the "At Ease" is the best. That set was what pushed me from thinking about playing 40K into collecting. Which makes it ironic that I've not actually ever bought it... I agree about the jokes, mainly because aren't creative or even related to the lore at all most of the time. Oh, and the proper term for the individual Trooper is a "Korpsman," as in "Core-man." I know its kinda weird, because Corpsmen are Medics and obviously not all Korpsmen are medic, but thats how they are referred to in I think every attached piece of Death Korps Media.

Crusade > all other ways to play 40K

Awesome video. Crusade is the best for me. And my son, 8yo, gets more into it, as there's the 'main mission' but the 'agenda' as well. He understands the 'maybe losing the battle, but getting better for the whole crusade'. Some of the rules that don't make much sense, I 'house rule' them. Lile the Precision upgrade, I make it on a crit hit, not crit wound. And to simplified the 'paperwork tracking', I just do some battle honors/scars for units. Only characters get weapon upgrades or relics. Makes it easier to track and more HeroHammer.
