  • KILALUM- GUMA WARD Councilor supports Global Community Projects!
Here, we see KILALUM-GUMA WARD Councilor Mr. Ben Pateip and significant Community Elders, Martin Taningmal, Ambrose Wungnam, Kilalum Youth Treasurer, Basil, standing by and showing their support of Johnny Katal.
The community is seen here after Sunday Church Service at Guma, St Isidore at the usual meeting venue - UNDER THE MANGOE TREE. Witnessed and supported also are some School Teachers of Guma Primary, Guma Health Centre Nurse In-Charge Sister Rosalia and five village communities - Iwai, Kilalum, Guma, Klampun and Setwei with other visitors from neighboring villages.
Logistics and Stakeholder acknowledgements were explained and very well received. Take home message and unanimously agreed that the Goods and Services delivered was an initiative for UNITY and ONENESS = SHARING. 'GNIAR' and 'MOKPOM' (Sulka language) for 'thinking of others/sharing and supporting each other = self-governance, rather then waiting for 'hand-outs' from the MP Elect; Government.

OUTCOME: Very encouraging and positive. As a direct result, the community has 'woken-up' to a NEW PARADYMN of thinking, and to be more pro-active and taking 'CARE of SELF' mentality.
The self-govern message is being shared and delivered widely (spread out) through all the WARDS via, the formation of a SCREENING COMMITTEE, by Wungniet Co-operative Society Limited - WCSL. As part of the review of resources to beneficiaries, it was agreed that a 'Wishlist Process' needed to be formulated, moving forward to the next phase, in support of Stakeholders and Partners.
It is evident that peoples needs, need to be heard and attended. Witnessed here is people on the ground helping society to promote harmony and unity. They are being pro-active and creating opportunities within. It starts with physically going to the village, sitting down - 'Simple Listening' and 'Engaging in Conversations'. Have a vision, a goal and setting out a FIVE-YEAR-PLAN on how to best achieve them.
