2022-SULKA/MENGEN: 'SULKA CULTURAL REVIVAL FOUNDATION' REUNITED @ KILALUM, East Pomio LLG, PNG

The community responded favorably to the need for reviving our SULKA CULTURE, seen here led by Elder Peter Patre of Klampun village. This has been the groups first time to gather again after the passing of Chris (tba), who had been instrumental in their journey to fame against other Pacific Island Nations at the 2008 Pacific Festival of Arts in American Samoa. The plan is to assist with this reviving process and reinstate confidence in both genders, to promote and sustain our SULKA CULTURE. Preserving Culture includes; music, traditional dances, arts, crafts, story telling, reading and illustrating stories for Early Childhood Learning (books), rhymes etc. There is mutual understanding between Taimtop Conservation Group and Sulka Culture Group to work together toward achieving thus common goal, and also including the not only the preserving of culture, but also to including the preserving of land, bush, rivers and oceans.
