When he is no longer an MP Rees Mogg will have more time to spend in the 19th century.
Actually he loves the 18th century, something he inherited from his father William Rees Mogg, along with Catholicism, lots of cash and a sense of entitlement bigger than the land mass of Russia and Canada(Fact checked).
The 19th century might be too woke for JRM.
😂😂😂@@sarcasticvalet1199
don't forget peddling access to government for lobbyists. that is the usual go to for former MP's
True, and Lord snotty has taken us back to the stone age. 🔙💩🧀🚣♂️🚣♀️
Why any ordinary working Briton would vote for this man has always been incomprehensible to me
It’s the Tory banner. In previous elections they could have stood a backwoods ape in his seat and it would have won.
Because they like a toff (eg Johnson).
If they have one talent it's convincing people to vote against their own interests.
Me too
Because they're not inverted snobs like you lot
Good riddance to a person who embodies all that is wrong with British politics. Entitled, dismissive and with little or no empathy with the ordinary person.
What is an ordinary person? Would you call Tim an ordinary person or is he a colourful character like Mogg?
I agree! Good riddance to bad rubbish - a lying, pretentious toad ( sorry to toads for that)
@@saturdayplayer2492 🤞
@@MandyAustin-nl4cn An ordinary person does not have vast wealth or the advantages of privilege. An ordinary person is dependent on their next payday. The prof is certainly a colourful character, but he's not conceited. And not in Mogg's financial bracket I suspect. People can be born into privilege but still be altruistic in nature. Mogg just isn't one of them.
@Geffo555 so according to you an ordinary person is someone who you consider has your characteristics? You create the definition of what is ordinary in the universe. I would say that is conceited.
Tory Boy, Jacob Rees Moog is the number 1 Tory I want to see lose his seat.
There is so much competition though!!!
Me too. He is truly vile....I am.buying drink in to celebrate his political demise. This disaster capitalist is a traitor to our country. He is a threat to worker rights . ..and an over privileged dweeb who has contempt for people he sees himself as superior to.
@@philipnesbitt3334 Very true words.
Not Truss?
@@renrutmat She is Number 2
Seeing Rees-Smug lose his seat would be the cherry on the cake, a Portillo moment squared
The only thing spoiling it would be seeing Farages smug face in Parliament.
It will be pleasant believe me, but what made the Portillo moment so special was that he was the bookies favourite to be the next leader and whatever would have happened he would have had a big steer on the Party. Rees Mogg is more of a passenger than a steerer, however Truss and better still Badenoch and or Braverman would be genuine Portillo moments.
❤❤❤
It's pretty likely to happen. I want Sunak to lose his seat, though I fear Count Binface might split the anti-Sunak vote.
It couldn't happen to a more deserving guy.
Calling Rees-Mogg a modern politician demands a broad view of what’s contemporary.
😂 It fits if your estimation of "now" has a margin of error of 2 centuries.
Anytime after the signing of Magna Carta😂
JRM’s mother should be apologising for his son, not campaign for him.
She should apologise for giving birth to him.
Apologising for not using contraception.
Starmers mum should! She was 50% responsible for the tools his dad made!! Infact more responsibility lies with her she carried him 9 months his dad only had 5 seconds making the tool.
That’s his nanny’s job
@@user-wj7cv9hb5jlucky guess - you are poorly educated?
I've never understood how a standing MP can even be allowed to be a TV presenter in the first place? As for what he does next who cares?
I absolutely don't care about the smug liar
They can present TV and radio shows (David Lammy had a weekend phone in on LBC until recently, though he's now quit) but they're not allowed to present the news or interview other politicians from the same party but Ofcom seems to ignore it when Tories and GBeebies break the rules.
He’s another reason the nation deserves a rebate from the private education sector.
Ree Smogg loosing his seat would be a sign that some British voters are regaining some sanity.
As opposed to tightening his seat?
Mogg didn’t criticise the Grenfeld victims for failing to follow firefighter’s advice. He criticised the victims for following advice he would have been smart enough to ignore.
💯
And if they had done that and died, he would have said the sensible thing is always to follow the advice of the professionals.
@@phildavies3664 He certainly would - raising his specs a smidge to show just how serious a matter it is.
He should have saved his criticism for the people who put the deadly cladding on the tower block which rendered the official advice useless.
@@chrysalis4126 He would never do that, remember, it was a Conservative Council and Tory Party Donor who did the contract for the cladding.
To be honest does anyone care what happens to JRM as it seems he's never cared about anyone but himself! Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Rees Mogg inherited £100 million.
Well, he's long enough and thin enough, but will he make it through the eye of a needle?
He married it
I’d be delighted for Mogg and Braverman to fade away into history. They’re the worst of the worst.
95% of Somerset can’t stand the man.
Probs 95% of the country.
After the election, Rees-Mogg can go back to running his nationwide franchise of Victorian Workhouses!😂
Im surprised moggs Nanny has not released a statement
He has business in Russia
Remember he lied to the late queen and was one of the Mps who progued parliament.
The prof did list many of his objectionable actions and words but he missed that point, well doen for reminding us. Just shows how much Rees Smug really believes in honesty and respect for tradition.
He also made money from drugs his company sold to abortion clinics, while claiming in Parliament to be a good Catholic.
How will he manage without the MP's salary he used for petty cash?
I wonder if his childhood nanny, still in his employ, will be driving him around the constituency dropping leaflets?
When he tried to stand in Scotland that's exactly what happened.
Grown man.
Looking for power.
Driven around by his nanny.
Nanny has to be back in time to make his Marmite soldiers for tea.
Grenfell,he criticised victims for following firefighters advice.
If he loses he’ll have to go back to nanny
Nanny wanks him off in the nursery.
She still breastfeeds him.
@@iangascoigne8231 Boris feeds him with his large, hanging tits.
Moggy want bitty..really wish I hadn't put that image into my mind!
In the nineteenth century
I'm sure he's bought and paid for a seat in the Lords already
Out will come his big top hat .
Rees Mogg represents the man on the street, that is his street in London that is populated with Hedge Fund Managers and Russian Oligarchs.
As I recall JRM didn't suggest that Grenfell residents had ignored safety advice, but said that they should have ignored the fire brigade's safety advice to stay put and await rescue. He said they should have had the common sense to leave the building. A very unfeeling comment, suggesting that the victims only had themselves to blame. He was involved with a hedge fund that moved to Dublin after Brexit and has since closed down I believe, yet he told everyone that Brexit would be great. JRM when challenged on his TV show has often revealed his ignorance but many people don't realise it because he speaks 'properly' like a toff and with such confidence and not usually in a situation where someone more knowledgeable has challenged him.
Nothing would make me happier… taxi for the MP for the 1800s.
Hansom cab surely?
Cabbie cabbie.....Hold the horses!
Sedan chair.
Not a single person in the entire country is going to miss the Haunted Pencil. He was never fit to be an MP in the first place.
Yes, the odds are he will lose his Seat. His quality of Life will be none the worse.
I hear Madame Tussaud’s are looking for tour guides I’m sure he will fit in there
Nah, he's so emotionless that people would confuse him with one of the exhibits.
I think you mean the London dungeons.
The steam powered penny farthing company really need a new test pilot.
If they need a presentable washroom attendant, he's de man !
I'm looking forward to voting against him on Thursday.
My only concern about Dan Norris is that he intends to stay on as Metro Mayor if he wins. Doesn't seem right to me that he is allowed to do so. He claimed on a recent TV interview recently that a job as an MP allows enough spare time to do both jobs (on the basis that someone in the cabinet time shares his roles as an MP and as a minister). Presume he will end up with two salaries, pensions etc.
One thing that can be assured, Reese Smug will have ensured that, particularly in the last 14 years, lined his nest quite comfortably on the proceeds of his ventures! He will, definitely not need a food bank.
If anything, he perfectly opitomises a typical 'I'm Alright Jack ' tory.
I love that heading! I cannot wait to see Rees-Smug's face when he has to do the Portillo.
Never confuse a good education for intelligence.
Can I like this comment twice?
Yes I can
I am not a bot
I'll be delighted to see the back view of Rees-Mogg after Thursday - a man I despise - but this will be tempered by the knowledge that Farage is likely to replace him. There's never a shortage of vermin in politics.
Don't be silly, the general public would never vote in "vermin"
I think you meant to refer to Leonard Sachs rather than Andrew Sachs.
Leonard Sachs was the ubiquitous and loquacious MC of “The Good Old Days”.
Andrew Sachs did a good line in comedy Spanish waiters.
The way you described Ress Mogg was spot on my first impression of him years ago.
Nicholas Soames ( hardly a pleb) said that, considering Rees-Mogg's breeding, he should have better manners. This was in reference to the rudeness shown to Green MP Caroline Lucas in the House of Commons, when R-M lifted his legs and stretched out on the Front Bench. Labour's Chris Leslie angrily shouted, "Sit up, man!" before Soames himself offered the suggestion that sticks of ginger should be provided for R-M to use as a suppository.
Been waiting a few years for this, the end of the ERG
The only thing I admire about his Holiness Pontius Pious, the Pompous, is his immaculately tailored suits. Without doubt the most expensive wrappers of 💩 on the planet.

@@andrewwmacfadyen6958 Mogg too is an apologist for a rapist
His nanny, his butler will be voting for him. His scullery maid has not been canvassed.
I had to look up on Google what a scullery maid was!!!!
We are the ones put under extreme stress by his actions. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Jacob Rees Mogg was such an unbearable child a film crew traveled from France to document him. I got very much an "OMG, look at this horrendous child" vibes from the footage of that documentary I've seen.
He used to campaign with his childhood nanny. Weird
It will good to see him gone.
Oh, well. No loss
Electoral Calculus gives Mogg only a 14% chance of retaining the seat.
*WHAT DOES HIS NANNY THINK....???* this is what we need to know...
If nothing else is achieved by this election ; if Reese Mogg ; Sunak and Hunt are removed . I will be happy . I am proud to say , in the past , that I have probably changed as many if not more of our childs nappies than my wife .
Good,pack ya bags!!
Maybe Little Lord Fauntleroy's nanny could stand in his place ?
He’s more a figure of ridicule. He won’t worry about losing his seat. He made his huge wedge when his company hedged against the UK economy during Brexit.
Talk about treacherous - selling the UK short!!!!
@@daydays12 remember Sunak’s company did the same in 2007 by buying into ABN Amro and agitating other shareholders to sell to megalomaniac Fred the Shred and RBS. He made his fortune out of the “worst deal in history”, adding to the credit crunch and almost bring down our UK banking system. These people just don’t care.
@@iangelling So right! I hadn't forgotten that.
JRM is the epitome of what is wrong with the class and public school system in England. People have a subconscious admiration of other people who have the public school swagger. David Lammy is right.
Nanny will be on hand to wipe away his tears later this week
I’ll let the rest of the UK that is outside the rolling green hills of Somerset into a secret. I live in one of Rees-Mogg’s adjoining constituencies and my friends that live there have told me he is now despised. He has done nothing whatsoever for his constituents, he has done absolutely zero to help the two main towns there, Radstock and Midsomer Norton, to the point that they are run-down, deprived, boarded up town centres (especially Midsomer, where a huge former coaching inn has been empty and boarded up for decades, and has small trees growing out from the top of the walls.)
He is so hated that last year he indulged in a spot of gerrymandering, redrawing the boundaries of his constituency in anticipation for this year’s election. He had Radstock and Midsomer Norton removed from his constituency, but he had to have new populous areas added instead. Bath is its own separate constituency due to the massive number of Uni students, so he had to find other areas.
But he’s so out of touch with his own area and it’s demographics that he added Hanham and Longwell Green, two very working class areas of outer Bristol, and areas of Keynsham, a town located on the outer edge of Bristol with a very sad town centre of charity shops and phone shops.
His constituency is now called “Northeast Somerset and Hanham”, and it would now be mainly composed of young family Labour supporters.
Fathers of 4+ offspring should be taxed for all their decentants future damage to the planet - that'd wipe out his millions. Totally IRRESPONSIBLE.
Rees Mogg is the Haunted Pencil.
I will dance a Jig if he loses
It's all a front. Underneath he's just as vile as the rest of the tories.
Rees-Mogg has said in the past that he is ready to move upstairs to the Lords and no doubt his elevation will be in the resignation honours list of PM Sunak.
Lord Rees-Mogg of LiedtotheQueen?
The cabinet member for Brexit who asked sun readers for advice?
Couldn't happen to a nicer person.
"Being a Brexiteer, I suppose he has an interest in hypocrisy..." perfectly said Tim!!!🤣👋👋👋
Rees Mogg is languidly and pallidly repellent, like a skinny axolotl...perennially not quite metamorphosed...
Reed Mogg grandmother was the child of Irish emigrants in the USA so he is 25% Irish
Thanks Great Uncle Bulgaria.
Roll on Thursday!
Jacob will cry all the way to the bank
Bless him, he has a face that only a mother could love.
I guess you meant to leave that comment on a James O'Brien video
"...something Nanny wrote on the back of an envelope" In a nutshell, Prof.
At least he had the balls to say it on the bbc he’s part of the entertainment
Poor man will just have to sit at home and count his millions. How sad!
Rees-Mogg’s mother made a mistake when he was born. She should have kept the afterbirth and threw him away.
Can't wait for the Daily Fail headline the next day. Maybe they will print "At last we have a Conservative government"
Campaign! Is this a threat?🏴✌️
Mogg will be taking comfort from his Ayhas teat.
He could get his old job back as a lamppost in Jack the ripper's London back streets .
I wonder what his mum thought about his comment “ people have moved on from Covid “ I also wonder how many people died in the West Country?
If his mum has come out in support, i am sure nanny and matron are not far behind. So that's four votes. I assume they all live in his constituency.
He will struggle to make ends meet to be sure, his main aim is to see it through to the dissolving of the swathes of EU laws he wants gone.
recently my birthday..please let me get Mogg losing seat and job on TV!!!!
There are probably a lot of Portillo moments fast approaching. Unfortunately for them, there are limits to the number of tv series based on railway travel that can be made. 😁
He is another one who knows the game is up.He has a Portillo moment coming on Friday morning
So one more Nanny is a must.
He was never really happy going from the front bench , to that drafty seat next to the toilets at the back , I still believe he is being paid for his appearances in the Beano comic .
Professor, good day to you and yours. The medieval period people are worried. They don’t want him to lose as they most definitely don’t want him back. Isn’t there an empty house he could be employed to haunt somewhere. Yes I know the house of commons will be empty of the tories after July 4th but that doesn’t count.
There still seems some inborn deference to Tory toffs in rural areas "God bless the Squire and his relations/And keep us in our proper stations!" A conversation I heard in a Dorset pub may shed some light: "I don't like 'em (Tories) I don't like 'em at all! Oh, I'll vote for 'em, but I don't like 'em!"
You are not alone in noticing this.
Good riddance to the haunted pencil
Well what does he expect all the farmer Giles he and rest of the tory party have destroyed through brexit
You Admire him Prof,
The fund that JRM was involved with, it has taken quite a knock over the last twelve months.
Time he was transported back to victorian times bring it on
Lovely analysis and very nice to remember Andrew Sachs, Professor Tim. I personally do not care one bit what happens to Rees Mogg in the future!
sadly, I meant Leonard Sachs but I remember Andrew Sachs too!
He seems to talk down to people like the headmaster of a third rate public school. I can’t think of a MP I like to see defeated more than him. Portillo went on to make quite interesting programs on trains , perhaps Moog could do programs on the Victorians .
Rees Mogg gives Prince Andrew vibes. Pompous, irrelevant, smug + despised by the nation
I think your cats need feeding
I've not seen Jacob Rees Mogg do anything remotely useful for ANYONE yet but he did briefly speak positively advocacy of Shamima Begum in October last year surprisingly.
Dear Professor, It was only a few short years ago that JRM was the toast of all the political pundits and spoken of as a future Prime Minister. Such is the fickle nature of British politics. His type of anti-European right wing Conservative policies have been brought down by the realisation amongst the ordinary voter that Brexit was far from a solution to the woes of UK domestic economics but merely a smokescreen to obscure the underlying financial weakness and domestic chaos that remains unresolved when a former empire comes slowly to an end. If Gibbons were alive today woud he not write "The fall of the British Empire"
"Nigel Farage is quite a different matter because he's never really been a politician."
So, a couple of decades as an MEP does not count?
To be fair, Farage did almost sweet FA as a MEP. He'll not turn down his Euro pension ( paid, not by the E U but by us, the UK) despite his loathing of the EU.
His Somerset Capital vehicle was in the process of being wound up after losing the St James Palace contract. Ofc he has money behind him, but good at business he probably isnt
Hopefully, Rees - Mogg will not be reelected. Roll on the election
I really want to know what his nanny wrote on that envelope
The soon to be unemployed JRM 🤣
Did he EVER manage to find a Brexit bonus, except for his own job, our his tax avoidance by moving his companies to Europe?
good Riddance!
