I’ve been with these guys since the beginning when I was in my mid 20’s and now I’m 66 in August - still excited about seeing them in Toronto on Nov 5th 🎉

@@dudutsulugulugan2911 They are not rock and definitely not generic, sweetie. They are ELECTRONIC band, have you listened to their album? @@My_Fair_Lady agreed with you brother. 101 was the best memories for me and my friends being juniors in high school. From the food fight to it raining during “Sacred”. Still have my original commemorative 101 shirt as well as the Music For The Masses tees which I’ll be wearing at the Crypto 17th show.
People love them and their music, so they will get a lot of positive energy. Their lyrics, their compositions are unique. After a concert you can get such a creative boost, you float.🦋
I am now discovering DM for the first time. i was oblivious to a lot of music as I grew up. But I am totally enthralled by this song Ghosts Again, once I heard it on radio and on Steven Colbert. The guitar and harmony by Martin are spectacular and dave's voice is just right.. I cannot get that song out of my head, and it has been 2 weeks straight, day in day out.
Watching this interview now after the concert I saw in Barcelona last Saturday and they really did give us their best so thank you so much for delivering the DM magic we witnessed over the years it’s incredible how powerful the band sound and performance still is. I was blown away and I am back in dreamy after DM concert state I always experienced throughout the years since my first concert age 14. Precious. So thankful ❤❤❤❤
Love, Iove the questions... Martin and Dave are such a good time. The DM community is so lucky; I honestly thought after fletch passed they were done. They're back stronger and better than I could have hoped for.
Dave choosing Enjoy the silence over Personal Jesus killed me 😅😅😅 My favourite song is IN YOUR ROOM (album version) 🤟 very funny interview, so curious to see how dave watched TLOU episode 😂 my favourite band and game together!! 😍
Dave and Martin looking better then ever. They sure look ready to go. Speaking of "Ready to go" I've got my tickets for the start of the tour in Sacramento Mar. 24th Also got tickets for the San Jose show Mar. 26th and if that wasn't enough. I got my tickets for the San Francisco show on Dec. 3rd I've seen Depeche Mode 17 times. These 3 will make it 20 Die-hard DM fan 101%
Technically I was a late bloomer with DM- I became a fan when I saw People Are People the first time. That shit blew my mind open and became a forever thing.
Three years after their first release isn't that bad - especially with "People Are People" being their first hit in the US. Depending on where one lived it'd be hard to become a fan of a band one had never heard. In the interview they're more than likely referencing the support LA radio station KROQ provided in their earliest years and throughout their careers. The 101 concert film was recorded at the Rose Bowl so their fan base in LA was probably established well before it was in other areas.

Gosh, Martin looks kind of sad. Lovely man. Love his humbleness and I think he is beautiful. Love that he kept his hair the way he does. I just love his blond curls. Their music always helps me when I feel depressed. It takes the edges off.
They will last forever, thus, ALL 3 will collectively last forever. Love & Light from Miami Shores🦚 Stay safe mate✌🏼🌎 Peace & Prayers for the people of Ukraine🇺🇦✨
I hope they/Dave will still be in a good form by the time they reach Budapest in July. They will have a massive tour with concerts in every 2-3days and, lets be honest, they are not getting any younger either...
We live in Cape Cod, MA. Which seems gray more often than not in the last 2ish decades and England's weather usually reminded me of the weather here, in New England, U.S. I wonder if this is why our English, MAYFLOWER Ship ~ surviving ancestors here named it 'New England'? Nah, they were probably fearing the British king they escaped from, and maybe even fearing the unknown from the wildness of here, of which its native chief clearly lived with nature. Wish this former natural area still lived with us. ❤️
Keep up the great work DM. It’s just so sad that we’ve reached the stage where we lose members due to death. Time flies and life continues. I hope Alan Wilder makes surprise appearances in the tour on some of their songs like Never Let Me Down or Enjoy the Silence. I know many fans will go ballistic.
I love Martin Gore so so so much. Bro SAVED me as a kid...I wasn't ever alone because of him. Genius songwriter and such a humble and self-deprecating person.
They are so down to earth these guys .. thats what makes them loved all these years. Great interview as i have watched almost all of their interviews. The scripted questions with mind bending answers while this one was nice smooth talk and leaves such a positive vibe. Well done

Depeche Mode got me through college, and I finally saw them in 2018. I was absolutely blown away. Somehow, Dave just keeps getting sexier with time. Seeing them again on this tour and I am so excited. Rest in peace, Fletch.
Honestly i would not mind 'personal Jesus " or " enjoy the silence " not to be on their live playlist, it's been overplayed so much i would like something a bit more in the " forgotten" vibe songs.
Interesting. Enjoy the Silence is the song when Dave sings the least on tours, when the crowd sings instead almost all the time, and it is very long track, the "resting song" of a sort.
I laughed when Dave threw out Meaning of Love, that's easily one of my least favorite Depeche Mode songs and it's interesting that he seemingly agrees.

Martin is the absolute sweetest. Still has the best laugh in the universe. I'm going with him on which song can permanently leave the setlist...both Just Can't Get Enough and Personal Jesus. Definitely looking forward to seeing them in a few weeks.
