Can I also add even if our poor Mincho suffered silently behind the scenes she still gave it all with her performances. She’s one consummate professional!
We are blessed that the tour went as well as it did ! Band Maid makes FEW mistakes...and if they do, they certainly don't repeat them ! Yesterday, we experienced a bad hailstorm in the Midwest. A baseball size piece of ice smashed a hole in the siding on my house...When I discovered it,there was no ice...just damage ! This reminds me of Mincho with a guitar... delicate, but fierce...Comes hurling at you ...smashes into you...then delicately disappears...leaving you asking " What the hell just happened ? "
In sports there's a difference between being in shape and being in game shape. I think this may of been the problem coming towards the end of the tour. Mincho's non stop action on the guitar is why we love her and probably why she felt such exhaustion by the end of it all. The good thing is that it's something that can be corrected and ultimately make her even better, if that's even possible. Band-Maid 4 Life!
I think they made a mistake that they are not making this year. In 2022 they did not take into account the time zone, which can vary by 5 hours. Traveling from west to east by bus, they always ran out of time. And the US is a huge country in this direction of travel. Long hours sleeping on a bus, which as comfortable as it is, is not the same as sleeping in a hotel bed. Always losing hours by setting the clock ahead, it may have caused a loss of energy that was replaced by high doses of Red Bull, leading to dehydration. The band's management realized this and this year, in addition to dividing the tour into 2 phases, they are traveling more in a north-south direction, avoiding a huge difference in time zones. It is what I think.
Exhaustion from multiple factors. She learned her lesson, as did other band members, they will be safer in the future. Hopefully they have a great time in Mexico.
As usual, I cannot thank you enough for such a wonderful video!!!!! BAND-MAID has such a chemistry because these gals came together. I truly do not think any other combination of talent would not have made BAND-MAID what it is, if you catch my drift. Again, thank you.
I think kanami should have a headpiece(dont know the correct name for it) were she could put icepacks in. I dont want to see her and the other amazing ladies suffering only for our entertainment...😢
The next US Tour for Band_Maid is a grueling one b/c it's from 8/3 to 8/18th in Mexico and not many days off in between. And it's gonna be during the hottest days of summer. I hope everyone will be ok 🙏
And when I saw BM in NYC last year Kanami looked like she was perfectly fine. That's called being a real trouper pushing yourself way past the point you should. I just hope she didn't make the same mistakes this past May and in August when they come back and takes better care of herself. ALL of us fans know that Mincho's health is paramount, she is literally a musical genius on a Mozart-like scale. And I've said this before, but Kanami is Japan's Brian Wilson.
One problem that all bands touring face is that when you take time off between shows it still costs the band money on those off days. The more shows you do in a short amount of time the more money you make. Touring is more expensive then ever, so a lot of pressure is put on bands to not take unnecessary time off. So it's a balancing act.
You can only sustain energy only for so long. Whenever I go on trips I always get drained and burnt out and that's taking things at my pace and schedule. Imagine being a workaholic like Mincho
Wondering why they don't have a nurse or medical personnel traveling with them, that way if one of them is feeling ill or injured it could be dealt with immediately instead of jeopardizing their health and may even terminate the whole tour, and that goes for the staff members as well.
I hope they can change their tour conditions to be more enjoyable and less demanding. They need to put their health above everything else..it's not like the fans would be upset if they took more breaks during shows or made changes to stay more hydrated and cool.
Didn't Kanami fare better during the tour when Band-Maid opened for The Last Rockstars, as well as for this most recent US tour? It seems like they and their management learned from their tour last fall and apply those lessons to subsequent touring. Their set at Aftershock 2022 was their first gig in tbe US. I imagine performing outside in the midday sun in black and multi-layered attire was a shock to their system, requiring days to recover.
I worry about our Maids sometimes. They play hard, do a lot of shows, travel and do another next day, over again & again... I hope they are not being pushed by promoters. Their health is more important. Fan's will understand & support the band always. We know they care about Fan's. ❤
I see they had time off in Greeneville, TN, which is not exactly on the route between Houston and DC. They had three days between, but almost two days travel time. Any chance they stopped by Pigeon Forge, home of Dolly Parton? It's unlikely, but I thought someone in particular might be curious about it PO! I love learning how they utilize their down time.
