  • Surfacing Titanium on the Tormach 1100MX. Jeffery, the newest addition to the SMW team, was developing speeds and feeds data for ProvenCut but also wanted to make a functional product. What better than a titanium key holder?
Admittedly, we can't stop calling it a KeyBar but hey, that's what happens when the trademark for a great product becomes the household name! Jeffery shows how to program toolpaths, speeds & feeds with a 6-Flute, Helical ball endmill for a great surface finish, and a good lesson about using Fusion 360's Steep & Shallow toolpath.

Great job Jeff. You are going to be a natural. Only observation -you will grow out of being so much of a lecturer when you start being yourself. Jon comes across as if he is having a relaxed conversation with a bloke in the pub - that’s what makes presentations really easy to follow. Your content and instruction was perfect. Perhaps you could launch a series of clips based on you learning experience and daily challenges, it would be like gold dust to other young people just starting out or taking an interest in engineering. looking forwardcto more content, top marks buddy.

PSA: Never show your keys to the internet (especially when people can easily find out where you are using those keys). Here's a great presentation on how easy it is to copy someone's keys from a picture: watch?v=AayXf5aRFTI

Making RUclips videos is not easy. There's allot to remember, especially when you're starting. If I had Jeffrey working in my workshop, recording videos like this I would be stoked. I wonder if there was anything in particular that made you think its "b-grade"?
Hope you're having a good weekend Billy.

This is John's channel and i have come to expect a certian amount of energy, enthusiasm and information from his videos, this one didnt deliver. Its got a hum of bait & switch about it which i dont belive it is.

@@queuing89 John has set the bar pretty high. I understand your point. Maybe I'm more forgiving being a RUclips myself. I think of the last 4 videos I recorded only one makes the cut because of one reason or another. It really isn't easy to consistently hit that high standard.
