pantis556 the bag is built well. It is definitely a summer/early fall bag. It is rated at 40 degrees. Any lower than 40 I have to layer with some merino.

I’m an avid hiker. This obsession with ounces is a substitute for proper training. Just my opinion. But, I haven’t read of Spartans shaving their spear handles to save a few ounces for long marches. They had good physical training. Your body would adapt to heavier weights if you gave it time, too.
