  • Working to get our fall food plots in ahead of big rain that’s on its way. The corona virus made getting some of the things I was after for this project a little more difficult, so some compromise had to be made. I think we should still come out okay. I’ll keep you guys posted on how things come along.
Planted a seven variety blend of seed including triticale, oats, winter peas, clover, chicory, turnips and radishes.
The soil conditions are sandy here and a lot of work still needs to be done to get the conditions right. But as with many things, all in due time.
I’m running a JD 3520 with a 6 foot king kutter tiller. The ctl is a bobcat T650 HF. Maybe overkill for the soil compaction but I’ve done it before with atv tires and the tractor tires. So this was a lot less painful than those options.
I’m after a three point cultipacker for the tractor, so hopefully I am in possession of one of those next time it’s time to plant.
    Thanks for watching!
