1959 Cadillac Sedan: Video #34 -- Wash & chrome polishing

Finally got a chance to give the '59 Caddy a good wash after sitting dirty for too long. The boys are big enough to help out with chores, and it really makes things go faster.
Also had to address the chrome, especially on the bumpers, that has gotten pretty oxidized. I'll show you my trick for cleaning up original chrome quite well. You'll never get rid of pitting but can make that nasty rusty orange stuff go away.
Those aluminum grill "bullets" are another matter... for another time.

I have a picture of my boys washing the 55 or should I say outside playing the hose, and pranking each other while we were supposed to be washing the 55. It is one of my favorite pictures of the younger son going to spray the older son with the hose. That was many years ago already. That's a good dad teaching them to take care of a car and spending time together.
