The Aegis Combat System aboard US Navy ships was developed by RCA Missile and Surface Radar division. GE Aerospace bought RCA in 1985 then Lockheed Martin took over. Had a great career with all three companies while working at the same location!
It is affordable and achievable to deploy ballistic missiles and warheads with LO to x-band radar. Would their IR signatures allow early detection and acquisition of firing solutions?
is a problem with shout east of Turkey ? or mapped wrongly ? another question , all drones or missiles why detonated over in Turkey airspace ? if there is a long or middle nbm , should be dangerous for Turkey ?
I was playing Neo Warfare X on roblox and some guy said, using missiles to shoot down missiles was kinda trash. After that, he lost the battle against my Ticonderoga class aegis cruiser.
No no, It´s a Dutch De Zeven Provincien class. The Danish Iver Huitfeldt class, has 2 76mm OTO Melara Guns in front of the bridge and no Goalkeeper (The Danish navy uses the Millennium 35mm) on top of the Helicopter hangar.
Agreed. They should show how the ships fair against a flight of Tu-22M3s firing hypersonic anti-ship missiles at. Or better yet, stealth Brahmos missiles.
1:45 has datalink, passing targering and firing data to other unit, and give fire mission orders from denmark frigate firing computer to aegis firing computer on UsNavy ship.
Compared to hitting Copenhagen, Aarhus and Odense, not much would really happen to Denmark. We would lose the only rainforest in Denmark and the train repair center in Randers. Nykøbing and Grenå - well, aren't those a part of the rodden banana? :)
How far can these navy missle travel? a few hundred miles? I think one would really have to be in the right place at the right time to even be within range ....
This video is top notch production, I wish the shuttle launches had had coverage of their ascent into space from cameras on satellites above and planes in the sky. Good to see it looks like we're about ready to take on an army of aliens if they try anything though, that makes me feel better ;p
Sure, Copenhagen, Aarhus and Odense would be much worse, but should we really expect that much rationality from the imagined perpetrators as to go for the main cities? And after all, even nuking Nykøbing would amount to three times the twin tower attacks in the (also partly rotten) 'Big Apple,' measured in number of casualties. It wouldn't be worth the money to rebuild, though: I would propose a combined windfarm, wildlife and viking (wwv) preserve instead.
Randers, Nykøbing and Grenå being "nothing of importance" is kind of a bold statement! :-) I do wonder, however, why the Iranians didn't aim for Viby. I seem to remember them being sort of pissed off by some cartoons a few years back, and we all know where the most famous cartoonist lives, I guess?
Japan Maritime Self Defense Force plans to introduce its 7th and 8th Aegis destroyers in order to cope with North Korean nuclear ballistic missiles in the next 6 to 7 years. Hopefully, Japanese missile defense systems will be competent enough to neutralize not only North Korea`s threat but also China`s nuclear menace.
+Oscar Banuelos They follow the path of the Soviet Union. After Stalin died, Kruschev engaged in liberalization and peaceful coexistence. As a result, their economy experienced healthy growth. The less enlightened Russian Communist led by Breznev took that as confirmation of the 'superiority of the Communist Party'. They engaged expansionism, the building of a new empire, the Red Empire. That is exactly the same course the Chinese Communist are following. The likelihood is they will end in the same disaster.
George Marsh Thanks for the thoughtful and interesting reply. I am American, and, while I love my country; I realize that she has been guilty of inflicting unnecessary death and suffering on too many innocent or collateral people. I want her to improve and be a positive asset to humanity. Much of the 21st century will depend on China and the USA.
+Steve Arthur The rise of Chinese military power is undeniable fact, but the level of Chinese military technologies is still unknown. We tend to overrate military capacity of our hypothetical enemies in order to justify the increase of our own military budget.
I have to agree with you. Iver Huitfeldt class has a radar dome midship. Zeven Provincien class does not. The frigate at 1:27 does not have a radar dome. But damn, those two classes look a lot alike. I'm not sure I would be able to tell them apart.
It's not complete! The threat will keep coming until the source of threat is eliminated. And if you go further than that other complex problem will be discovered!
To me,the first ship looks like a Royal Danish Navy frigate; an Iver Huitfeldt class frigate. Compare the ship at 1:27 with the image in the Wikipedia article on the Iver Huitfeldt class.. It's some funny targets in Denmark, too. Nothing of importance is going to be hit. I don't get it.
Probaganda at its best :D Denmark will never join the missile defence, because then Denmark will be a target, plus, it is extremely expensive this project. that amount of money is there not in Denmark's defense budget.
We were already there a long time ago. Congress choses what to fund and most things never get the money to continue or develop on a mass scale. Most everything in America including are roads are old.
' nice video,,, but not have to show the video in here,,, ussr russia can copy from this america idea,,, china, iran, north korea, ussr russia can copy from this video
People? A Nato ally? The country that has thrown most bombs at Gaddafis army? The country that has sent most personnel to Iraq an Afganistan compared to population size?
Lockheed Martin's technologies are up to par with Star Wars standards. ;-)
Beyond....
Interesting, but why oh why Lockheed did you use a lightsaber sound effect at 1:33? :)
because they could... ;-)
The Aegis Combat System aboard US Navy ships was developed by RCA Missile and Surface Radar division. GE Aerospace bought RCA in 1985 then Lockheed Martin took over. Had a great career with all three companies while working at the same location!
the force is strong with the radar
A little like a high tech fire extinquisher; one of those systems that you buy but hope you'll never have to use! Great video btw thanks!
Wow, i never knew container ships could carry missiles, that's cool
Where is the radar?
@LongPham-xj9gp probably data linked
God I love lockheed martin, God bless America 🇺🇸
1:32 who let the intern use lightsaber sounds?
Great defense system
I love how were shooting down missiles with lightsabers
nice animation and effects. Lockheed works hard on videos too it seems..
It is affordable and achievable to deploy ballistic missiles and warheads with LO to x-band radar. Would their IR signatures allow early detection and acquisition of firing solutions?
Works well on graphics.
Long range radar sounds like lightsabre...curious!
1:30 That looks like a really good high powered radar. To bad it isn't stealthily.
StarWars lightsaber sounds detected ;O
is a problem with shout east of Turkey ? or mapped wrongly ? another question , all drones or missiles why detonated over in Turkey airspace ? if there is a long or middle nbm , should be dangerous for Turkey ?
Infrastructure, powersupplies, military manufacturing, heavy industries.
I can think of enough.
Who else heard a light saber from star wars at 1:32 ?
I was playing Neo Warfare X on roblox and some guy said, using missiles to shoot down missiles was kinda trash. After that, he lost the battle against my Ticonderoga class aegis cruiser.
Great defence system. I believe Taiwan will need it.
No no, It´s a Dutch De Zeven Provincien class.

great animation! keep it up!
Lockheed should start making STS games. This looks amazing

Mitch is right. Iver just commisioned, we we sail alreadi 10 + years, and we will get the same stuff and even more ;)
How far can these navy missle travel? a few hundred miles? I think one would really have to be in the right place at the right time to even be within range ....
+kira zeno
SM-3 Block IIA operational range 2,500 km (1,350 miles) according to Wikipedia
This is actually really cool!
Looks good on animation but does really works?
Red Force is probably pissed that Denmark imposed sanctions on Danish cookies.
Can't wait 'til this game comes out. Anyone know what it's called?
This video is top notch production, I wish the shuttle launches had had coverage of their ascent into space from cameras on satellites above and planes in the sky. Good to see it looks like we're about ready to take on an army of aliens if they try anything though, that makes me feel better ;p

its who is seen first thats where the space advantage comes in.
Iranian missile have decoy warhead ... intercepting them needs 6 to 10 missile for each warhead
Unless you intercept it long before the warheads actually separate.
The power of the sun, wind and all human work now
That is because the all use Dutch Tech Radars. And the Netherlands produces the best radars on earth. Hence many tech copies by USA.
7 years passed, what is done ?

China is morphing from an exemplary nation state to an expansionistic one. Why.

MrEjidorie I agree with you, but is it not more prudent to overestimate your potential adversaries than to underestimate them?
and who noticed the blue plasma strand device at 1:45 ....

The map at 1:19 means the US has already lost. LM needs a more educated PR dept.
