    Very useful for Quad Antennas
    4 BAND MIMO ANTENNA ( -,+) 45°
    The 2X2 MIMO is used in 4G LTE communication to take full advantage of it you need 2 antennas (+,-) 45° because of the polarisation diversity
    You can quadruple you maximum data transfer speed (4X4 MIMO) by adding another 2 antennas because your M1 device has 4 connections in another term it will double your speed

    I think those antenna ports are for higher bands . So in saying that won’t they be completely useless if your provider does not use those band frequencies? You could put 100 antenna on there doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll get faster speeds

    • @daimientaylor3108
      @daimientaylor3108 3 года назад +2

      Well the whole purpose of an Antenna is to focus on a given signal. NOT to get faster speeds. HOWEVER if a band is typically supposed to be putting out a minimum speed and you aren't getting the full potential then yes it will indeed give you faster speeds.

    We have without our Cross polarized Yagi antenne no mobile internet.
    I am looking for a mobile cell phone connection extender with also an extra data output LAN.
    I am looking now for a LTE 4g extender with voice repeater and one LAN output for data to a balancing TP-Link router.
    We use a polarized double Yagi Antenna from Halo&Son in Austria for Band 28 and this works very well and we want it to be connected to the extender.

    While this will work, the antennas need to be at least 30 centimeters apart for MIMO speed improvements.
    A better solution is to just get a professional mobile router which already included 6 antennas, 2 for WiFi 2.4Ghz, 2 for WiFi 5Ghz, and 2 for the 4G-LTE modem. It can also bypass carrier throttling which is next to impossible on the Nighthawk. Here's more info: ruclips.net/video/e6kaLZ5pZQA/видео.html

    • @timmycue
      @timmycue 4 года назад +2

      I had the KuWfi 6 antenna router and the speeds were horrible on the T-Mobile network, Got 3 or 4 Mbps download speeds. Streaming video was unwatchable. I just bought the Nighthawk on the AT&T network and speeds are faster, 10 to 15 Mbps and streaming video is fine. A lot of the speed depends on where you live, how many people are on the network and where the cell network antenna towers are in your area. The AT&T tower is about a mile from me out my window while the T-Mobile tower is on the other side of my building and further away. I'm only using the internal antennas in the Nighthawk now but will be connecting two external antennas which should boost my speed. Not saying the KuWfi is a bad router at all but for me and where I live, it just didn't work well

    • @timmycue
      @timmycue 4 года назад +1

      And 10 or 15 is almost nothing compared to what I have with Xfinity's 200+ down but my Xfinity bill is going up again and I want to cancel it. WAY too expensive

    • @BillAnt
      @BillAnt 4 года назад +3

      Should have tried the WuFi with the ATT service, can't compare apples with oranges. ;)
      Obviously carriers can made a big difference, I use a SimpleMobile (Tmobile towers) sim and get around 100Mbps down consistently about 2 miles away from the tower.

    • @timmycue
      @timmycue 4 года назад +1

      The KuWfi I had came with T-Mobile so I didn't have a choice there. I also live near Chicago's O'Hare airport which has a high level of cellular activity thus the slower speeds with both carriers. 100 Mbps for you is amazing. I imagine I could put my AT&T sim in a KuWfi and get better speeds, but anywhere near 100 I don't think is possible for me. Nighthawks are capable of up to 1 Gbps down so if I could get anywhere near 100 Mbps I would be getting it. If I do get a KuWfi in the future with AT&T service I will post my results here

    • @BillAnt
      @BillAnt 4 года назад +2

      @timmycue < It's not the router that matters for speed, but the carrier and radio modem you use. The Nighthawk comes with a CAT-12 (category) built in modem, and it's non-replaceable. The cheaper KuWfi version usually comes with a CAT-6 modem, so regardless which carrier you use the modem's category affects the speed greately, but its biggest advantage that it can bypass the hotspot limitation via TTL on multiple carriers which the Nighthawk cannot do. I have installed a CAT-20 into my KiWfi, and while on paper it's a 2Gbps modem, in real life the best I'll ever get on 4G-LTE is between a 100 to 200 (there's always overhead congestion, signal degradation, multipath, etc.). Now, with a new 5G modems (which currently costs over $500) on paper it's 10Gbps but in real life it's more like 500Mbps. From my experience having tried all carriers, ATT's speeds are overall lower than others regardless what mode/router you use, it's usually around 50Mbps.

I see merit in the mod, but i would clip the adaptors in 3&4 and position carefully first, in the optimal place. If i noticed a doubling or something like that of speed...only then would i drill the holes and hot glue gun the connections in place. Theyd fall out so easily without a glue gun fixing in place (silicon gun would also do the trick!) but if they came undone, thered be no point to the mod. Tiny ports to click the adaptors into. I wont do this mod for $50 for a couple adaptors and a t5 screwdriver link on ebay.... if i can find a link to the right adaptors for $2, i'll plug them in.
