Brilliant directorial debut Marc! I've been a fan of your writing for quite a while now and am so pleased to get to see this. You're an inspiration sir! Great job to all who worked on this in any way!
Very cool! It’s lean, intense, and compelling leaves the viewer wanting more. Thrilled to see Tricia Helfer in the cast as a huge BSG fan. Great fledgling piece of work, Marc! Definitely looking forward to your sophomore effort in Deepest, Darkest. I can even see you including Splinter within DD as a confession told to the protagonist. The Bernardinverse is born. Way to let mother fuckers know! BRAVO!
A terrifying tale of what it takes to save the World. Chaos in the body of a Child, doomed to never touch the Earth lest Armageddon reign. Thank you for this bit of Wonder, Marc! Can’t wait to see DEEPEST, DARKEST!🖖♾
Great work Marc. It exceeded all my expectations and they were pretty high. This was great work for a seasoned director let alone a first timer. Lots of small touches it takes a few rewatches to pick up on, like the black screens between the cuts in the fight scene. I cant believe no one wants to at minimum option the story to have you flesh it out. The Welcome to New Jersey poster of Kevin was a nice touch. He'll probably want an IMDB credit for it.
Goddamnit Marc, this should definitely not be made into a movie. A mini series would give you much more room to stretch your legs, like first class homie!
Finally got to see it! Brilliant. Worthy of any Twilight Zone. I like the way you wrote just enough for us to question, but not to know. More left unsaid than said. Great to see Tricia & Moonblood. Tight and to the point. Well done Mr Bernardin!
So I accidentally started watching another short called Splinter about a centuries old vampire on his deathbed until I realized that it was uploaded four years ago lol. Good job with this one 😊
So happy to be able to finally see this after having heard so much about it. There's certainly enough story here for a feature-length version, which would be fantastic!
Would love to see a wider glance at this world and what's happening. Great work and congratulations for fulfilling a life goal with something great coming out of it!
OMG, so here it is, finally!!! As beeing from Germany, I couldn't do any festivals or whatever to see it earlier, so hyped to watch it now. Thank you, Marc, big fan if yours and "the other guy" on the Fatman podcast. :-)
Wow, this was amazing! You really have great thing for the details, the bumping stroller scene really hunts me. Loved the Kev poster, hope you make him your own "Stan Lee" in your next movies. The music was great, the close up at the end... and a lot ot tension through the hole thing. Really loved it, hope to see more of it! And if I had a wish, I would like to see Benjamin and the Brightburn Kid in one movie. 😅 So thanks again and congratulations for this!!🎉
Marc, congrats on completing one of your life's goals and dreams! You did a phenomenal job. Maybe a comic book origin story for Ben? Congratulations again!!
I sincerely hope this opens up some doors to more projects. Outstanding job, and my jaw dropped at some of the cast. After all of the teasing on Fat Man/Black Man, IG, etc... I had no idea what to expect other than a plane. Bravo, good sir. We need more of this. In a world of Madam Webs, we need more Splinters.
So both Marc Bernardin and Charlie Brooker have seen the Twilight Zone ep "It's a Good Life" and they think nobody else has?!?!??! It's the only explanation for this and the USS Callister Black Mirror ep. Brooker's been "recycling" like this for years but I hoped Marc would've been a touch more original. It's ironic because he'd be the first to point out the similarity if this was someone else's work he was reviewing.
Indeed. I knew I wanted Yetide for Morgan, but everyone else was up for grabs. It wasn't until later in the development that the idea of an all-female crew started to surface...
This was fantastic Marc! I wish I was able to back this project when you started. I'm so happy for you man. I love the subtle nod to some of the work you did over on Castle Rock with Hulu. The Skarsgard character and his powers/abilities have a similar feel. I'm not sure if that character creation was most of your idea, but I thought it was brilliant for that world and also very cool for this particular short story. Great job. I hope to see you do more films in the future.
Like in true bernardin fashion why didn't they just lift him up at the airport what are your rules marc? compelling asf but only nit pick is thzt but i know with more time you would have explained it
interesting but if the boy is so dangerous why keep him alive? Or why not keep him sedated? Also what's with logo of the birdcage? Its a bit of dead giveaway.
Part of the lore -- that we'll get into if we get to expand the story -- is that there's always a person like this in the world. Always. And killing them had been tried in the past, only to discover that another child just like them was born somewhere else. So the decision was made to identify and isolate. Since this is a power that isn't wielded or directed, it's more of a condition, sedation would have no effect.
@@loverhino thanks for the reply I was looking forward to seeing it for a long time as a fellow writer. You had thought of everything that is fantastic! This very much reminds me of m night shyamalan when he was in his prime in the 90s.
@@loverhino it might interesting if you make a sequel something like Fracture if you gave the boy or another child powers to mess with a persons perception of reality like he could fool someone into thinking they were home on a sunny day and they wanted to open a window but in fact they are on a plane at 41,000 feet and are about to open the door and depressurize the cabin.
The Kevin Smith poster cameo was a nice touch. So my two-part question. - which airport in New Jersey? - are we really sure it was the kid's fault? (jk)
lol this was his big masterpiece? Marc has spent countless hours shitting on peoples creative visions and this is what he puts out? This short was the like those Gordon Ramsey frozen meals you can find at Walmart. 😂
Brilliant directorial debut Marc! I've been a fan of your writing for quite a while now and am so pleased to get to see this. You're an inspiration sir! Great job to all who worked on this in any way!
Loved it. I'd love to see a feature length version! I think it would go amazingly well.
Every bit as good as I hoped, a feature length version would be immense
Brilliant work. Great script, cast, acting and direction. Six stars (out of five)!
I'm not saying this needs to be made into a feature length film...but I'm not not saying that. Excellent work!
Love the build up! Thanks Marc and Marc's cast and crew!

Didn't realize this was on RUclips. Glad I got around to seeing it. Congrats Marc.
Late to party, I just watched this 3 times in a row. Absolutely amazing!
Well done Marc, very twilight zone like, which is a big plus to me. Great job by all involved.
OMFG. Finally just watching this and up to right now I thought this was gonna be about Splinter from TMNT.
That was amazing I’m on the edge of my seat for more can’t wait for your next film!
A terrifying tale of what it takes to save the World. Chaos in the body of a Child, doomed to never touch the Earth lest Armageddon reign.

I am entertained, intrigued, and feel seen all at the same time. I'm gonna call up an old friend just so I can have someone to tell. Great Job❤🔥🔥🎆
So glad to finally be able to see this. Bravo, Mr. Bernardin.
Why doesn't this have way more views? this was very well made good job Marc!
Fantastic! Well done Marc and all involved!! :)
Yetide is amazing, first encountered her in American Gods (mixed show but she was great in it).
This was a great short to watch on the cruise. Well done sir. Looking forward to playing Blackjack with you again in 2026. Virtuosity!!!!!!
Absolutely fantastic short film I can't wait for next project.
Wow, this is such an amazing concept. Great work, Mark.
Send this to Black Mirror! They would make a killer episode out of this!
Love you Marc, the Kevin poster was hilarious
Wonderful movie
I kept waiting for a giant rat to show up.. but it was still good 🤣
Marc...this is so good. You got a lot of good friends in this movie. It's a shocking short that's for sure.
This should be a tv series. Take alllll my money as kevin would say
Goddamnit Marc, this should definitely not be made into a movie. A mini series would give you much more room to stretch your legs, like first class homie!
Oh I think I got one those in my family. Always starting something and can't take them anywhere
Very good, I now want to know more about this world. keep up the great work.
Finally! I've seen this. I only have one thing to say now. Marc, please, please, please make more!
whoa, that was wild man. not the story I was expecting
YOOOO WTF is that Helen Dubois?? "that is not my job"
Finally got to see it! Brilliant. Worthy of any Twilight Zone. I like the way you wrote just enough for us to question, but not to know. More left unsaid than said. Great to see Tricia & Moonblood. Tight and to the point. Well done Mr Bernardin!
So great to see her you couldn't get her name right LOL
Very cool my man!! Congratulations! Loved it!
This is so good!

Saw it back when, but great to see again. Awesome job, so well put together! 🎉🧡 (More please)
WOW So Worth the Wait... I WANT MORE
go, Marc. god damn!
Ok…so where’s the Kickstarter to contribute to make this a full-length feature film? This was fantastic 👍
Brillant
Putting Kev in it without putting Kev in it. Perfect solution. 👍🏼Nice little short. 😎 We need to know what´s up with Damien, äh Benjamin.
Feature length????? Great premise, I would love to see more. Congrats.
Congrats Marc, love ya!
Bravo, Marc!
Alright Marc! I see you doing things big homie! This was great
Fantastic! Well done Marc!
wow. Great film. I just wish there was more
So I accidentally started watching another short called Splinter about a centuries old vampire on his deathbed until I realized that it was uploaded four years ago lol. Good job with this one 😊
Great Job Marc!!! Very cool to see the finished product.
Yeah, this was tremendous! Great job, Marc and company!
What a great "Community" of actors.

This is really good and a very unique story well told, especially in the compact time
Damn good
Proud to be a day 1 backer on this!
So happy to be able to finally see this after having heard so much about it. There's certainly enough story here for a feature-length version, which would be fantastic!
Congratulations Marc ! Fantastic.
Wow. This is really good.
Captivating! I forgot it was a short!
Would love to see a wider glance at this world and what's happening. Great work and congratulations for fulfilling a life goal with something great coming out of it!
This was really good

Been waiting to see this for so long!
Marc, congrats on completing one of your life's goals and dreams! You did a phenomenal job. Maybe a comic book origin story for Ben? Congratulations again!!
Great job, Marc. Proud to support a lifetime goal.
amazing Marc!! we need more stories from you truly Original
Very cool! Happy to be a backer!
Congratulations Marc!
"new place left to hide"?
Good work, Marc!👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Marc is the man!!! 👍🏿
This is a very fine thing you have made Mr. Bernardin! If some studio offered a pile of money to make a feature length, would you do it?
This needs to be a feature.
bravo marc! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😎 Loved it! ❤
My friend Stuart Greenburg sent me
Jeebus Marc. It's fucking brilliant. ❤❤❤
I sincerely hope this opens up some doors to more projects. Outstanding job, and my jaw dropped at some of the cast. After all of the teasing on Fat Man/Black Man, IG, etc... I had no idea what to expect other than a plane.

That was neat. Good job!

I note almost all the character names are gender neutral (Morgan, Chris etc), is that because Marc wrote it before knowing who he'd get to cast?
Indeed. I knew I wanted Yetide for Morgan, but everyone else was up for grabs. It wasn't until later in the development that the idea of an all-female crew started to surface...

A brilliant short film, Marc. Well done, when can we expect more? I genuinely thought the kid was the devil reborn.
The only problem is....No way they made the grilled cheese that fast. Otherwise.....a MASTERPIECE

Perfect that's where you can see Kevin Smith
Wow! I’d love to see this as a series or a full length feature film. What’s gonna happen next?

@@loverhinoamazing response! And sounds like some amazing lore too!!
I’m still waiting for Charles Xavier to roll in .
The Kevin Smith poster cameo was a nice touch. So my two-part question.

Wait that was it? Considering how much Marc bashes every movie he sees, I was expecting something more than this.
