Someday I decided to give it it’s own keyboard shortcut. I use now + . I'm not getting the glitter effect through? Followed the exact same steps, on my photoshop 2023. On my third try now, how frustrating :-( What could I be doing wrong? Fx in place, solid color and patterns imported. Blend mode screen (bleken in Dutch?) ....
You can right-mouse click on the layer thumbnail and choose "Select Pixels." This will do the same thing. Make sure you right mouse click on the thumbnail, not the layer name.

Great tip! I usually assign Shift-Command-G to the gaussian blur as I often use the last filter shortcut.
Thanks for the tutorial! I only have Elements but was able to find workarounds to achieve a similar look.

Command is basically ctrl on windows, You can hold ctrl and then click on layer. (Holding ctrl is imp)
Don't click on layer name click on that square thumbnail only.
