    I had no idea about clicking outside the drop shadow to manually position it. What a tip!

    I always hate to see your videos come to an end. I've been working with PS for years (a lot) now and it never fails that I learn something new or at least get my memory refreshed! Thanks so much for all you do.

    You are one of my all-time favs graphic designers. There is something about the way you teach I can put a finger on. I enjoy learning from you. Keep it coming, sir.

      One of the qualities is really.... no personal long stories, no joking around, and no effort to make a video at least 20 minutes long even when you have no substance for it and you have to fill it with stupid GIFs, jokes, and anecdotes.... he is always straight to the point, 100% prepared, well organised, skilful and easy to understand. Progress through the topic is well laid out so there is always something for anybody - beginners have no sweat to follow and learn, and professionals can always find some hidden trick, shortcut, idea or at least a general guidance, on how to present themselves and the topic properly and with full confidence. Absolutely amazing way to teach and guide the audience. GREAT WORK, RIKARD - you're the best!

    Yeah, a new one from Rikard! That’s an awesome one, specially if it comes to the inspiration for the composition, I envy you for that idea.

    Moving the shadow was a great aha moment for me. Thank you! I noticed the light on the boat was wrong. Given more time, would you have flipped it so that the shadows on the boat matched the overall light? I know that these are demos, and I'm ever grateful for them.

      Yes. Not so much a time thing as I overlooked it. I actually noticed it when creating the video thumbnail and fixed it there :)

    Love it- thank you. Not only do we learn the project, but other little handy things here and there too- I didn't know that about the lasso tool- holding alt (in my case on PC) to change to poly- that's awesome to know! thank you for your time to record these and give the files for free. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is super grateful! Thanks :)

    Great idea 😮 … but you should‘ve mirrored the boat, bc the sunlight is coming from the left. But the boat got its lights from the right obviously 😢

    That’s an awesome tutorial and creative idea for the composition, I wished I had it. Your channel is for sure one of my favorites. I’m working a lot with Photoshop since decades, here I find always some new tricks. I never regret my Nucly purchase, besides the course, the add-ones like brushes and overlays coming with it are such a time saver. - Besides, did you forget to flip the boat, didn’t you? The light on it is from the right on the scenery it’s from 8 o’clock. 😅 In the final before-after it’s fixed 😉.

      Yes. Good eye. I noticed the shadows on the boat after recording the tutorial. 😑

    Hi Rikard,
    I purchased *quite a few* of your courses, I noticed none of them say:
    *Fundamentals course*
    Do you have a fundamentals course that I many not be aware of?
    I’ll purchase it!
    Followed many of your courses, but I feel like I’m still all over the place.
    *scattered in understanding* when creating my pieces.
    I feel, this is because I’m extremely weak in fundamentals
    Thank you.

    • @nuclylearn
      @nuclylearn  2 года назад +1

      Photoshop Basics for Photographers is the fundamentals course. You can find it here: www.nucly.com/photoshop-basics-for-photographers-sale

    • @computer__eyez
      @computer__eyez 2 года назад

      Yes I have that one. Awesome!
      “Photographer” threw me off, so I never got to it. I’m not photographer. It came with $500 pack I bought back in 2020. I have about 10 of your courses.
      I thought your *color grading course* was the fundamentals. 😅
      Thanks for response Rikard!

    Nice. but why not flip the boat around so it's lit correctly. And move the booger rock out of the nose area. Thank you for your work.

    • @nuclylearn

      I kicked myself for not flipping the boat. But I noticed after finishing the tutorial and it wasn't worth doing again for that one detail. Good eye catching it though!

    It would have been nice if you'd added the change you made to the boat as it was showing a shadow on the boat where the sun should've been hitting.
    You did make the adjustment in the final image... shame

      @nuclylearn  2 года назад +3

      Free Transform > Flip Horizontal. I noticed the shadow on the boat after I finished the tutorial, but fixing it is that simple.
