So glad I found you...... instead of "Bumbling around" by myself you are helping me so much in learning PS......a big help when one lives in S> Africa and the Rand / Dollar exchange rate is so horrific.
Shift + Option + Command + N to create a new layer....See, this is why the invention of the mouse was such a big deal back in the 80s LOL Great tutorial by the way. Loving it! Thank you!
Crazy that I took an image yesterday that I was struggling to get properly exposed because I didn't have a tripod, and literally the next day you put up a video that could help me fix it in post! Thanks again dude!
Several of the tips in this series have already helped me with a couple of projects I'm working on, particularly blend-if, constraining the aspect ratio of a selection, transforming around a corner or other point, and making small rotations by entering a specific angle. Thanks so much!
This is so great. I literally started new year with the resolution: i want to learn photoshop. And as if you were reading my mind u started this 30 days tutorial. I'm really grateful. Is there a possibility to donate? Either way I will go for the Phlearn premium to support you, Aaron. Thank you so much!
This series is proving to be such a valuable training resource for me.I can already appreciate how I can add photoshop to my workflow so that I can use it alongside what I already do in lightroom. Thanks so much Aaron!!!
Would this give the same result as using apply image in the layer mask, and then inverting for the shadows? Or would there be a time you would use one over the other? I know there are always lots of ways to get the same effect in PS.
Using it for exposure correction is OK but can do that in the camera raw filter by using the shadow and highlights sliders. It’s colouring highlights and shadows where Blend if really shines
Thanks for your tutorial again! It's also a fulfiling lesson🤓. Would you also consider to provide Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects or Premiere Pro tutorials too😃?
I don't really have an intuition as to whether I should be using the top or bottom slider for an adjustment. Is there a rule of thumb that you use? Wonder if this is a way to look at it: Upper slider - Use if you want to hide darks, mids or lights on higher layer and reveal lower layer in those areas. Lower slider - Use if you want to punch through top layer with the darks, mids or lighter tones from lower layer. Also, I don't understand the 11 thumbs downs...what could possibly have done in this video that would have offended them????
Hi great tutorials. I'm using Photoshop elements 2020 version but it doesn't seem to have the blend if option. Is there a work around for this think it's something I would use
a lot of Photoshop is many ways to do the same thing right, this is automated though, based on black/white values rather than your manual masking work.
Took a moment to realize that using the shortcut (cont. M) brings up the curves panel and you can make applicable adjustments but does not create a curves layer channel afterward.
hello, sir please tell me how to spacebar work as a hand tool because photoshop 2020 spacebar as a hand tool is not working. I want to work. please tell me!!!
Actually this was the lesson I was waiting for. Thank you. But I wished if you could have explained a little more to better understand. Anyways thanks a lot.
This has been the best series I've ever watched on RUclips. Thank you !
All your tips/tutorials in this series have been appreciated, but this is the best so far. Keep up the great work, thank you.

This is a great vid, thanks
how is this different than just inverting the mask and brushing in where you want the highlights to appear?
a lot of Photoshop is many ways to do the same thing right, this is automated though, based on black/white values rather than your manual masking work.
@@chriswatts9227 that is an excellent observation CHRIS
Little difficult today's class, teacher ;)
I am watching and saying wow aloud

Bruh this is hot fiya
Suppose you could have also used masks, but this looks quicker and easier.
it works well here because you have a stark difference of contrast between the shadows and the highlights.
Hahaha 2:50 German WW1 flag xD
Hello
👍
💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Love your tutorials but in this case just shoot RAW, then you can recover your highlights and shadows from your photo.
lots of people working in Photoshop didn't take the images they are using, designers for example using images they have been given as JPGs.
🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Hey! I see ur videos often. Why have u reduced so much? Are you OK? Take care man! God Bless !
This really didn't help me with blend if.
