People really should get better at accepting that they’re friends and family ARE capable of murder given the right circumstances. Yeah it takes a lot more harshes situations for some people than others. But everyone can be put into a situation in which they do stupid enough stuff to kill someone. Doesn’t mean their are innocent or that you need to test them the same afterwards but it also doesn’t necessarily mean you need to stop loving them
It's only a show, but it's so depressing that the rich and well connected who have already reaped the greatest benefit from our societal structures seem to be the ones who think that the systems of law and order should not apply to them.
Worse, it also shows at times that having money leads to being able to meet bail and get lesser charges/sentences or getting away with it because they can afford a great lawyer.
Conrad Hilton (Paris Hilton's little brother) is the perfect example based on what you posted. He broke into his ex-girlfriend's home and stole her father's Bentley. This wasn't his first time breaking in which is why she filed a restraining order against him. He was sentenced to three years probation and forced to undergo mental health treatment to address his substance abuse issues. As part of his sentencing, Hilton will also have to stay away from his ex-girlfriend's family household for three years. > > Idk if this is a lenient sentence or not, but his last name and privilege certainly weren't going to get him locked up behind bars. That part I knew for sure!
This is the L&O lineup I always liked the most. Steven Hill was great, and I missed him when he was replaced. Stone, Kincaid, Briscoe, and Logan - those were my favorite episodes. I know Jack McCoy was the ADA for the most episodes and Waterson is a fine actor. I'd still opt for the lineup I wrote above.
Michael Moriarty's no doubt a very talented actor but he had this rather peculiar habit of scanning over virtually your entire face when acting opposite you. Go and take a look at any closeup dialog exchanges he had with another character featuring, say, 3 or more separate lines. The direct eye contact when speaking to someone else is of course very common, but invariably he'd then switch off to looking at their forehead, their chin, cheeks, all back and forth between looking them in the eyes lol

I can't understand why they won't play the part of the tape where Jason says "Wait, let's do it again" for Jason. How is he going to talk his way out of it ???
At the end of the episode, Jason testifies but fails to appear at his sentencing. Sol Bregman refuses to tell the DA where his son is leading to the elder Bregman being arrested for hindering prosecution. Adam warns him of the consequences of his actions by hiding his son, but Sol says that he couldn't turn in his son. that his son depends on him. Adam says that he hopes that his son will be looking after him as he tells Stone to draw up a warrant on Sol. The episode ends.
