  • Check out this newly-opened sushi place in Akihabara, Tokyo, Japan with me! Don't worry, this is not a sponsored video and I thought I would try this place out with you guys! After doing some research, it seems like this place is a chain, and they have locations in Shinjuku (Kabukicho) and Nishi-Shinjuku as well!
    Check out my conveyor belt sushi video:
    • Conveyor Belt Sushi in...
    Kizuna Sushi - Open 24 hours!!!
    Address: 1-15-18, Sotokanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, 101-0021
    Price: 3980 yen for men, 3480 yen for women, 2000 yen for children (elementary school age), free for 4-year-old and younger
    All-you-can-drink (incl. alcoholic drinks) for 1500 yen. Free soft drink all-you-can-drink for women-only parties and families with children.
    Also, they charge you the regular price of each item you don't eat, so don't order more than you can eat. They also charge 50 yen per chunk of RICE that you don't eat from the sushi, so keep that in mind!
    #sushi #japanesefood #japantravels
    Gansozushi: Conveyor belt sushi mentioned
    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! It's probably my favorite conveyor belt sushi in Tokyo now that Sushi Nova (shown in my conveyor belt sushi video) has closed down. Great value for quality! Also has branches everywhere in Tokyo including at airports!
    Address: 1 Chome-15-1 Sotokanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tōkyō-to 101-0021
    Price: 1 Plate of sushi generally varies between 95 yen and 600 yen

    Sorry if my voice still sounds a bit off, I swear I've been sick for two months now! I think I'm finally over it, and hopefully won't get another cold >_< Anyway, I hope you enjoyed checking this sushi place out with me! If you can eat A LOT then it's definitely a great option, especially since all-you-can-eat sushi is quite rare in Japan - most of the time you can only find conveyor belt sushi or regular sushi restaurant where you order by piece/combo. It's also a great place for events since they have all-you-can-drink alcohol!
    Check out Gansozushi next door though if you have a relatively small appetite (like me)! It's now my favorite conveyor belt sushi after my previous favorite (Sushi Nova) has closed own! Go there instead of places like Genki Sushi which (in my personal opinion) are total tourist traps!

    Kizuna Sushi is just OK to me. Been a few times and left saying...is ok. NOW, if you haven't been you should try MIDORI SUSHI in Ginza ( my favorite) amazing taste and quality, long waiting lines but will worth it! Very costly but will worth it! Also a location in Shibuya too.

    • @TokiYuYu
      @TokiYuYu  6 лет назад +3

      I agree, it was mediocre. Good for people who can eat A LOT. Or maybe people who want to drink a lot while also having lots of food options. I have been to Midori in Ginza with a friend before, the wait was insane! The food was really good though, and it wasn't TOO pricey, I just haven't gotten up the courage for the wait again lol

      Haha that sushi is Kani Miso though it's not the same miso as in miso soup, it's a mixture of crab innards/brain. I love it but not sure it would suit everyone's taste. Lots of sushi restaurant have kani miso salad too

      TokiYuYu Japanese food, eh?

  • @HotInTheCity

    Is the price for the AYCE less expensive to attract more female diners or because they think women eat less than men? I have never seen that gender based price difference for food, is it common in Japan?

    • @TokiYuYu
      @TokiYuYu  6 лет назад +4

      I think both of those reasons are valid. It's quite common in Japan to charge women less (usually between 300-500 yen) for "course" set menus or all-you-can-eat. They want to attract more female diners because you would notice a large majority of people who dine out are groups of females (also single men, but they tend to choose a different type of restaurants like Yoshinoya or conveyor belt sushi - kinda like "fast food" options in Japan), so they want to attract the female parties that are out looking for food options - that's why this place offers free all-you-can-drink soft drinks to all female parties. And also they assume women eat less than men, that's why it's quite common to see a price difference

  • @aftergraduationvlogs7610
    @aftergraduationvlogs7610 6 лет назад +1

    Wow around 30€ for the buffet thats quite expensive isn't it? For that price couldn't you just get full by eating by the piece? Or is that expensive in tokyo as well

    I just left Tokyo today for Osaka, oh no, so maybe after couple of weeks when I am back :-) Sushi Nova was closed, I found out there were several sushi nova so they have two names probably all of them. Hanamaru sushi in Kitte seems great, but I never had patience to wait the queue. Thank you for all your videos :-) Actually realized that Korean town in Tokyo boarders with Shinjuku. Do you have any favorites there? :-)

    • @TokiYuYu
      @TokiYuYu  6 лет назад

      Yeah I'm still so sad Sushi Nova is closed :( It's been a year I think and I miss it! I've been to Korean town a few times but ate at different places. I did like this restaurant called Shijan Dakgalbi - I went there when I was craving dakgalbi and the place was SO packed. The owner gave us a discount when we paid because we waited for so long. I just thought that was a super nice gesture and left a good impression on me. Dakgalbi is probably one of my fav Korean dishes, and since I can't get my "Yoogane" fix in Japan, that place was actually pretty good

      I have an entire video on Osaka, you can check it out. Also a video on USJ which is in Osaka.
      You can use JR pass to go from Osaka to Tokyo station, then to Maihama station for Disneyland, and I think JR pass would cover everything

    • @TokiYuYu
      @TokiYuYu  6 лет назад

      I would say AT LEAST 20 pieces to be close to get your money worth, because you can get 2 pieces for under 200 yen (price per plate, and each plate has 2 pieces) at that conveyor belt sushi next door. Even Chuutoro there is only 360 yen per plate. You would need to eat 20 pieces of Chuutoro (which is the highest value one) to make it worth it. But of course this place has appetizers and all-you-can-drink option so it may be better for certain occasions

      Check out that shabushabu restaurant I filmed before called Nabezo, they definitely can seat that many people. If you go during weekday lunch time, you most likely won't have to wait either. Also, lots of restaurants can accommodate if you call in advance. They are very used to Japanese work parties. You may ask your hotel or airbnb host to call a certain restaurant in advance for you

    • @TokiYuYu
      @TokiYuYu  6 лет назад +1

      I think the reason for different pricing is: 1. generally they assume females eat less than males, and 2. In Japan, more girls go out to eat together than guys, so they want to attract parties of girls with lower pricing
