- My F1 Ford. It’s actually a 1952 with 1951 trim. The chassis has an Dodge Dakota IFS using a kit from Industrial Chassis. The rear suspension is a TCI leaf spring kit.
Power comes from an 8RT flathead Ford V8 with a 4” stroke and 3 5/16” bore, billet center main cap, factory connecting rods, Isky Max 1 cam opens the valves via Johnson hollow adjustable lifters. The valves Under those Offenhauser 425 heads are standard Ford 1.5”. Fuel is feed by a Holley 390 CFM carburetor through an Edelbrock intake manifold, and lit off by a MSD ready-to-run ignition, and Porter Mufflers make that sweet nostalgic sound! the accessories, include air conditioning, alternator and power steering from a March Performance serpentine belt drive. Power is routed through a 700R4 automatic using a Wilcap adaptor then on to a Ford 9 inch rearend sporting 3.89:1 rears, and finally to the ground with Silverstone wide whitewall tires on Wheels Vintiques wheels
The body is all steel with a with a Mar-K reproduction bed and oak flooring. The body color is Jaguar Quartz Grey, wheels are Jaguar Radiance Red.
The dashboard was extended to house air conditioner vents and controls for the Vintage Air system. A few other interior items are a Glide seat, Lokar shifter and e-brake, Ididit steering column, Juliano’s steering wheel and 3 point seatbelts, custom gauges from Classic Industries, a 180 watt stereo from Antique Automotive Radio, INC.
That’s just a quick overview of some of the components in the build.
I learned to drive in a truck just like this one way back in 1974. My dad rebuilt it himself in 1966. It was all black with a flathead V8 and 3 in the tree trans. It was completely stock right down to the tube type AM radio and 6 volt electric system. Sure wish he had kept it, just look how beautiful it could have been. Lots of memories flowing now.
I love the fully restored F1’s as well.
I have never seen that truck look pretty. OMG, this truck is beautiful. I love the color. I think that's what makes the difference. great vision.
Beautiful. Trucks. American. Nice. Respect.
Beautiful truck! I had a 1950 Ford 2 door sedan with the flat head V 8...bought it in 1960 as a high school Junior. Loved it and learned lots about mechanics.
Those old shoebox Fords are cool.
WOW, just WOW !
Thank you
Perfecto!!!That Flathead is detailed to the max and the interior is also somewhat original and not overdone.Fantastic work🤠
STUNNING BEAUTIFUL. WOW SO NICE !
Has to be the most well done ford pick up truck restoration ever!!!!
That's one Awesome ride. Love that make and model. I had one hopefully one day I'll find another.
Fucken mean truck bro, the color, stance, the soundtrack it makes.... Fuck yea..
Graceful beautiful car. A work of art created with soul. A work of art created with a master-hand caring.
Very Good Car.
Classic Model and Design
Cool truck. Thanks for keeping it Ford with the flathead v8.👍🇺🇲
As an autos engineer and a freek, I had the pleasure of driving both the 1951 Ford Coup and the 1937 convertible....
Wow! That's probably the cleanest engine bay I have seen. Terrific work on the entire truck!
Now that is one beauty. 🕶
Thank you
@@v8flatty love that color. 👍🏼
Better than show-room condition. The tig-welded radiator, chromed head's, flawless paint, all come together to make this a subtle and definitive iteration.
That is one gorgeous Ford . I absolutely love it and that's one of the finest restores I've seen . Great job
rad, so good to see a clean ford with a flattie
My favorite early Ford truck, wish this was sitting next to my '52 Customline Club Coupe V8 Flat head.
Beautiful car
several times over the years i have tried to buy one of these that were sitting in people's backyards but no luck. this one looks real nice.
I own a project one
@@bomb.lyrics5962 if i had one i would try to keep it stock looking at least on the outside.
@@steveperry1344 I have all original parts that came with the exact truck I have
@@steveperry1344 and a 1994 mustang 5.0 v8 engine for it
@@bomb.lyrics5962 sounds like a good starting point.

Wow... very nice
I'm not a fan of trucks at all, but it always good to see an old one in really good condition like this!
Absolutely beautiful, beautiful truck and awesome flat head !
That color is beautiful, what a great truck top to bottom.
Impecable
My dads first truck and this is what I learned how to drive in.
Back then they had style. You could tell them apart and they did not all look the same. They were made out of metal and not plastic. They were made to last.
Who feels old cars are better?
They did the best job without computers and electronics.
I have decided that old pick up trucks and old muscle cars are all I want to drive. I want a collection and ONLY drive those types of cars and trucks.
I’m in .classy
They are also simple to work on and don't have all those plastic covers.

sick....I love it
That truck is TOTALLY righteous. Maybe you could have done better on the seats, though. So nice I would be afraid to drive it.
Nice
Thank you sir for keeping it all Ford and not Cheepening it up with a garbage GM engine!!!
@@NakedDave100 thanks man. It was never a consideration.
That is SOME truck, beautiful.
Awesome Job! Looks great!
Now that is 😎 Cool

jeez that thing is mint.
Esses carros vale ouro sou fã desses carros.

When vehicles were works of art.

Pretty truck. Love the color on it.
Looks like Sanford and Son's truck after they won the lottery !
@Mip Saginaw
Funny because when ever I see a '51 F1 that song plays in my head hehe
thats a awesome looking truck mate
Immaculate
Not a big fan of Ford, when this truck really convinced me though.
Beautiful 👍💪🏻
So nice!
Even looks beautiful even though there's a ram sitting next to it
I have a 48, hope to finish it similar to your build before I expire... 😳
Super.. 👏👏👏
Perfect,color,excelente.
Wow awesome car here
Old school 🇱🇷.....
Parabéns ficou magnífico!!!
Exhaust cutout in the running board. 😎🤘
Thanks. When I moved the fuel tank under the bed it really made routing the exhaust out the rear difficult. I didn’t like the idea of the pipes just hanging under the running boards so recessing them was how I went. Looks alright.
Great Job well done !!!!
HOLYFUCKINGSHIT...THATISABEAUTY
