    This guy reminds me of my father. My dad is about to turn 61 in October and he is extremely fit. He runs, lifts weights, does Spartan races, eats clean. He looks a lot younger than he really is, and he loves exercise and feeling good. He is actually the one who introduced me to lifting weights and exercising. I have him to thank for that.

    Guys I just turned 45 and a year ago started working out and eating healthy.
    Recently I took new ID photos and when I replaced the ones from two years ago, I noticed I literally look 10+ years younger. I am currently in better shape than when I was in high school.
    It’s no joke. Once you get started and feel and see the difference, you just don’t want to stop because of the time and money put into it. I feel a lot more empowered to tackle other parts of my life. And while doing it for myself is the ultimate goal, I also notice people treat me very differently, so that’s a bonus.
    For any of you making the leap into it, I wish you all good health and happiness to come!

    • @gaddaitherage8204
      @gaddaitherage8204 Год назад +1

      @@robingrant948 hello congrats you got over your injury. I just started to eat as healthy as possible- meaning as little sugar and processed or oily food as possible.I don’t count calories but by getting rid of bad food it will already help a lot.
      As for mojo-- I might rephrase my answer differently. I had a pretty bad breakup and I got super motivated to get my shit together. I worked from a point of anger and also wanting to become better and not wanting to sit home and feel bad for myself. But then i immediately feel better, then a month I become more functional. About two months I can begin to see some difference. And 3-6months In I see the most transformation happen. Afterwards I remain motivated because I will never want to go back to the way I was before. I wish you the best in pursuing this too!

      Antonio Moncada by your comment I can tell you are clearly a person who has failed in some area of your life due to lack of action. Is not that you can’t do it buddy is you believe you can’t. Change that mental paradigm and you will see yourself flourish. I’m pretty sure you can do whatever you set your mind too 🤗

    • @raqui174
      @raqui174 5 лет назад +42

      Kenneth Fernandez Jr I’m not saying that obstacles don’t exist they absolutely do. There will always be extenuating circumstances that can make a problem much more difficult. I’m talking to those that can find a way and choose not too. I’ve been the type of person who has chosen not to but also the one that gets up and goes. I work 6 times a week one day off and sometimes can only do 10 jumping jack right before I have to go into work. 10 jumping jack may mean nothing but it reinforces the discipline. There is a million reasons why we can’t do this or that but for most of the population the one million reasons are excuses. And not all women have trouble losing weight that’s a crutch. I loose weight quite normally. The minute I stop with the junk and monitor what I eat the weight comes off. Yes it’s hard for some ppl but not impossible. I can’t blame my gender as a reason why I’m not losing weight but I can blame the bag of Cheetos I was chowing down at midnight with a side of kit Kat. I know the problem is not straight forward but sheer excuses do exist. And I just dislike when ppl having money as a reason they are fit it’s something you choose to do.

    • @raqui174
      @raqui174 5 лет назад +49

      Antonio Moncada and that’s true he could be. He could be on many things who knows. It still does not take away from the fact you still have to put in the work. Many ppl with normal levels of HGH aren’t ripped because they aren’t putting in the work. You can take all the steroids you want but nothing will happen if you don’t lift the weights.

    I’m 26 and I have always dreaded getting older and becoming a old man and losing my vitality, good health, looks and everything that makes life great but after seeing this it has changed my perspective on ageing. Getting old doesn’t mean you automatically become ill, weak and a cripple in a wheelchair lugging around a oxygen tank. If you take care of yourself while your young you can have a good quality of life in most cases. Seeing this makes ageing a lot less scary and depressing.

    I've been a swimmer hiker mountain biker and jogger most of my life, has been a major part of what has saved my life from suicidal depression and panic. I have sustained injuries from over exertion such as plantar fasciitis etc but recently I decided to commit to body building and do less of the other. I can say in all honestly it's been very beneficial. Injuries I sustained in other activities I have been able to build strength around them and make up for the injury related weakness . It has been a pivotal move in my life. I am grateful I got to see this video I too incorporate meditation and prayer .I am 59 and live in Bellingham WA. I live her because during the summer mountain biking is incredible and I can swim ocean or lake.

    You guys--older and younger--amaze me. 61! I know guys in their 60s who are power lifting and Farmers Walking with 150+ weights in each hand. One 62 y/o I know just walked/ran miles over hills and through woods alone, climbed up on his roof with a hose on his back and kept the Malibu fire from burning down his house. Don't let society tell you what you should be at ANY age. You're as old as your fitness level. If you're 60 with a 30 y/o fitness level, you're 30. If you're 28 with a 55 y/o fitness level, you're 55. But even more importantly, it's Heart and Head. If you're a badass, you're a badass. If you're a wuss, you're a wuss. That's your choice. It's not a sliding scale thing.

      "Society" isn't what determines that we lose muscle mass every year beyond a certain point as we age. That's biology. A few exceptions - and they ARE the rule or we wouldn't be seeing vids and infomercials featuring them - don't disprove the rule.

    • @markrny5183
      @markrny5183 5 лет назад +8

      You're watching a vid that shows you're wrong, but don't believe your lying eyes. I'm here to tell you that I know guys in their 60s who can toss a volkswagon. I'm glad this vid is being shown, but the guy here is a wimp compared to other 60 somethings I know. If a person doesn't comply with what society tells them he or she should be at a certain age or use it as an excuse, all bets are off and new studies confirm this. "Society" has a vested interest in wanting people to feel helpless at any/every age. My question is, why do you seem to want it to be true?? You can comply and be the guy with a catheter that the commercials say you should be in your 60s, or you can be the guy I mentioned above and many, many more like him. Your choice.

    Kudos to both of them. I`m over 58 and 60`s are just around the corner. It`s nothing about money. Yes, if you live paycheck by paycheck you work a lot (over-time etc.) or have two jobs. Thus, you may not have the time. But if you can give 20 - 30 minutes you can do something. Many people can`t believe I`m in my late 50`s and am a grandfather. You have to be consistent and have a routine you can follow and keep it. Most people go beyond what they can do and if it can`t be done on a routine basis they quit and fail. Baby steps and slowly work up to a program you can keep up without fail and least 3 months. Once you reach a small goal and can do it without quitting, increase the level. Everyday before I take a shower I do 30-40 reps and 3-4 sets of push-ups. Either arms wide apart or narrow. With no fail I do this every time before I take a shower. This only takes less than 5 minutes to perform. I have 3 sets of dumbbells 10lb, 20lb and 45 lbs. 3 days a week I workout in my home doing basic dumbbell exercises. No heavy weights or barbells. I do high reps and several sets with very little rest in between sets (>30 seconds). I also do T.U.T. Time Under Tension exercises. Which I do a specific exercise with constant tension between 30-60 seconds. You don`t need a gym, heavy weights or major equipment. I use body weight and dumbbells. As for age, it`s a number. Diet is another subject I will explain another time.

      Yup it might not be the money, but it sure does make being healthy a lot easier. Healthy foods cost more money and time to prepare than a drive thru fast food that cost only a few dollars and a couple of minutes to pick up, he probably has a chef or nutritionist that cooks for him and gets the healthiest ingredients from the remotest parts of the world. Not to mention he can also afford the best supplements and medical therapies money can buy. And most of all it also buys him time to do his workouts, as he never has work and time pressure so he's also stress free. Most people won't have time to do 3 workouts a day, unless you're an athlete and that's your way of earning a living or just like this guy, rich and have a lot of free time.

Nearly every physician will tell people they need more protein. 64 and rode my bike about 5 miles around town today. I do something nearly daily. But it started with a simple walk too...was 306 once, then took my time and now wearing size 38 jeans and weight around 198...so much better than before. Jumping rope is a quick cardio boost. Plus my BP is getting back to normal. Plant based, with some Cashew Ice Cream since I quit dairy awhile back, for the better...and people think I'm younger than my years...I feel younger staying active. Usually every other day around 60 sit ups seem so easy now, I almost lose count, tight core, you function better overall. So I'm all in...anyone can change their lives tremendously by eating for fuel and staying active as possible. Know that it's very possible. Testimony...you can do it if you desire to. 65 in about 7 months, God willing. I just want to have fun and live life as fully as one human can. So, yeah, this dude is like me, and maybe others who post comments. If you're in your 30's don't sit and eat and get wasted...go outside and do stuff you enjoy for life...

    I've had discussions with people concerning the topic of this video. The key phrase is "best version of yourself" because genetic make-up is a _huge_ part of a person's physical abilities and really , over all health. So in other words, there are many 61 year-old men who could do everything this guy does and have a spare tire around their mid section. And there are other 61 year-old guys who no matter how hard they tried, never could do what this guy does, let alone find that level of physical condition. But yeah, he is physically fit.

    I think a lot of people are missing the point. Okay, he has money and goes to a Dr. Whatever he gets from his doc is on him. He's still fit. Okay, we don't have his money. We can't get special stuff. (that is IF he's getting special stuff, hormones, steroids, whatever) You can still look good if you eat right and exercise according to your level. I am 53 years old. I lost 100 pounds! 100 POUNDS! Do I look like he does? NOPE! But I look and feel a whole lot better than I did when I was over 300 pounds. I have helped a friend with Lupus lose 115 pounds. She's older than me. I have helped another friend who has cerebral palsy, he's about to hit 100 pounds. If you want to do it, put on your Nikes and JUST DO IT. It does not have to be perfect I make screw ups every week. It does not have to be pretty, I look like shit when I workout. But I do it.
    So, are you gonna let the notion that this guy has money, a personal chef, a special doc be your reason to not try something? I run challenge groups on Facebook and online now. Who would have thought a dried up, used up, old ass chef would lose 100 pounds and start helping others. You don't have to wait until you are 53 or 61. Start now.

      I think that's the most important point. Anyone is going to look and feel better at a normal weight and working out several times a week at any age. It costs nothing to take a 15 -20 minute walk and nothing to do some basic calisthenics

      He's a total prick. His company Take2-Interactive practically bought Rockstar Games, probably the most talented and quality-focused game developer ever and turned them into a money making machine by milking the hell out of GTA 5 which was released in 2013. They haven't released a new GTA since and use lazy, shady tactics to maximize their profits from GTA Online. Original founders of Rockstar Games, among them the head writer for most of the games, have already left the studio because they felt seriously constricted by Take2 and Strauss Zelnick in particular. He singlehandedly destroyed this beautiful pool of creativity, his short term thinking is gonna bite Take2 in the ass eventually. Him writing a book about his "success" in life only shows how much of an egomaniacal narcissist he truly is. Guys like him stand in the way of progress and should be removed from their seats.
