In the wiki with the book, Flint is told that fears only one person, which is John Silver. I wonder if i the tv series Flint will start fear John. Wonder if Flint will fight John to the death. Flint will obviously die at one point, dunno about Silver.
In Treasure Island, Billy says that Flint died from over drinking but yes Silver was the one person Flint feared in the end and Billy was also terrified of Silver even when he in the show created Long John Silver. As a fan of Flint and Silver's friendship its gonna sad for me to see the two tragic end but in the show I think Flint doesn't really mind that Silver will be his end, as long as he doesn't see another of his friends die 'I wouldn't worry too much' but also the scene with Fint when he looks over the river to see Silver after Silver's plan worked, that was the moment when Flint knew that Silver would be his end, that he was becoming dangerous and more than Flint really, because he was feared and liked. Sorry for the long reply, it was such a good season for those two.
+rhosvideos The character development I have only seen equal in Breaking Bad. Silver has been treating us with a beautiful journey. I mean, that first episode when he pretended to be the cook to survive, I remember how that first episode stunned me. Now he's gained so much respect from the men, but I feel sad for his health. Flint doesn't seem to fear anyone or anything. The show seems to be making them really close friends, in a sense. I think season 4 will delve into that. We all know Silver is the key figure in Treasure Island :)
