A god among men. I couldn’t agree more. I needed this. Appeals to my design background, my angst and aggro has an outlet, as well as my desire and will to learn important wisdom from an elder who knows his stuff. He teaches in such a funny and memorable way.
I grew up in a blue collar family in New England and I watch Nick because he reminds me of all my best friends and family growing up. He feels like home.
Nick reminds me of a close friend of mine who's lived 100 lifetimes in his young age of 39. His advice is spot on. He's hilarious and very smart. Ive always considered him a mentor. He's cut from a different cloth just like Nick
That's one of the reasons I like Sam and Nick so much. There's something about being from New England that translates into our humor that only other New Englanders can truly appreciate. Maybe it's when they name drop towns and cities, or maybe it's their accents, IDK. One of my favorite bits of theirs is when they are talking about how old guys make small talk. They totally the nail the accent and inflection old heads around New England use.
If you want to see an overpriced market, check on St. George, Utah. Im doing an electrical remodel on a home that was listed for 700k and it's not worth over 195k. The electrical is beyond stupid. Unfortunately the west is plagued with overpriced crap. I bought my house for 305k and every carpet smelled of dog piss.
Average per capita income in Montezuma is ~$12,000. Town is 70% black, 20% white, more than half of whom are Mennonites. Crime rate is double the national average. Population has been steadily declining for almost 50 years. It's in a flood plain and has been totally destroyed numerous times, with water reaching the roofs of the houses. This is one of the deadest towns in America. @@BasicUniversalEconomics
I absolutely hate quartz countertops. If you're going to spend the money, get real granite. Don't get marble, it's too soft, porous, and it's for decoration. I swear, if you get marble as a threshhold, then complain when it cracks, I will scalp you.
Can someone please help me, how does Nick know so much about these sorts of things, does he or did he sell houses? Impressed with his depth of knowledge and wondering how I can emulate.
People have asked him about this before- to paraphrase his answer he said that he started flipping houses when he was he was a mere 20 years old. He also maintained an antique shop for some years, which is where his knowledge of furnishings comes from. Additionally, his family is also into real estate.
I have to stop watching these. They ruined all other forms of content they are so god damn funny. Especially if your me and you do this for a living for 30 years and feel the exact same way. I really thought I was alone in my hatred of these terrible homes.
"Hi, Home Depot? I'll have kitchen please."
Hilarious.
The "never flooded" house.. looks like the only house that has flooded..
Everything about the entire premise of this show is great.
We really needed real estate commentary; Rochefort does it best.

That POS in Montana for 250k is mind-blowing holy moly
The west is plagued with this quality of house.
And I’m sure they will get it for that much.
I was the poster who sent that in. Found a finished single bed and bath cabin with land finally.
I was figuring it came some some decent acreage but it didn't even have that.
@@ahuras238 land out here in western Montana is 50k an acre on the low end to 100-125k on the high end

it's funny that they Jack up the price instead off saying it's not in stock
1:13 The horse girl. She was so weird that the other girls literally picked me to be in their study group instead of her.
There is no discussion of rural property or houses with land. The 78 day property had almost 10 acres

So oddly specific and golden comedy.
