I just completed this model and am very pleased with the results. It took about 8 months of pretty solid effort. I did not install the sails as they hide the beauty of the wood and rigging. It is a beautiful piece of work and very accurately presented in the plans.
Hello, I built the Norske Love of Billing Boats over 30 years ago, with the full sail and I would like to follow your example and build it without the sails. Do you have some photos or a site where I can find details so I know which elements I should not install? THANKS

It does actually look good.
Just a question: isn't the gap between frames a bit too wide as warships of the era needed tighter frames to repel cannons and for additional strength due to the weight and size of these wooden ships?
They call it a shipyard model but it's overly simplified.
There are a lot of inconsistencies. It seems they have only included every 2 or 3 frames, the bow and stern frames are very simplified and the deck beams are not cambered but completely flat.

Wonderful, 2 questions, are there planks in the set to fully plank the ship and also is there paint reference provided to properly paint it as it was painted in real life?
cant say for the planks, but victory had many different paint schemes. look at some paintings of the ship and take your pick :)

Un magnifico kit de construccion de un navio igualmente magnifico. Sin duda alguna. Sin embargo hay cosas que no entiendo. La mas destacable es el ¿por que de esa caja? Me parece excesiva para un kit de montaje a no ser que el afortunado modelista que pueda pagar tan alto precio lo adquiera como objeto de coleccion y no monte el modelo.

It is truly a beautiful ship, no one can deny that. And the high-quality materials and the unique copy will undoubtedly justify the price, but these are prices that are only for the elite club and not for the common man, which is a great shame. In any case, I know I can't afford it. My personal opinion.
However I wish the lucky ones who will be able to buy this piece of art many hours of building pleasure...
