PL will continue to run out even after the pressure is released. You can pull the plunger all the way back and it will still ooze. Especially on a new tube. You have to cap them quickly.
Europe has been using PL since the early 1980s under the name Sikaflex. You would be surprised how many new car body panels are secured with nothing other than Sikaflex.
I use PL all the time and you can release the pressure pull the plunger all the way out take the tube set it on the ground and it's going to continue to ooze
Tip: To more easily handle while working, release caulking gun pressure, wipe tip with paper towel as needed, rest tube on lid from 5-gallon bucket. Let excess glue dry on lid; it will pop right off later.
Yes. If you want to make it easier wait 2-4hrs, depending on the air temp, and cut the excess off with a razor knife. It's still a bit soft and trims easily. After it's fully cured you'll need a chisel to trim it. It will sand off, but it eats sandpaper.
Cheers, that's the Glue i am looking for, Nice build two.
To stop the glue emission, you release the pressure on the gun by pressing that silver metal tab with your thumb.

If you pull the plunger back there will be nothing but air in the nozzle. Do you press the sliver tab hard enough to make it click?
If you've never used PL it's not like caulking. I've been using a caulking gun since I was a kid.

But does all that squeeze out sand off after it cures?

Why bother nailing it at all? Why not just clamp it until the glue bonds?
does that shit get hard as a rock or does it stay pliable like liquid nail?
Slightly pliable. It's not a brittle bond like an epoxy.
I'm sure you will find good solutions for all your ideas on the Stodoys website.
This $hit has a MSDS of 5 pages and is highly toxic. Use with caution, it is the best imo.
