as usual -perfect video Sergei! just in advance appologising for all landstar agents mistakes,we still trying to do our best, and its great honour to move load with you, thank you for your job!
Man, you need to have an entire office in your truck, amazing! Over here even a cell phone is not needed (except for your boss to call you every 5 mins LOL) Million thanks for this explanation, have a safe trip :-))
@Sergie Dratchev Here in Australia you can go on for weeks on end but not go very far or could go very far. Here we do not have any border crossings but I am amazed at the procedure needed and that you do not get tired of it or steep down such as not ever forgetting about safety. You sir are a perfect example of a truck driver. Excellent job and any carrier/company should be honored to do business with you / give full trust to you Great job
Wow that's a difficult procedure I'm amazed at the level of skill and patience needed for the otr job. I did do the otr ,, line haul 5k. Kms and up in Australia and we never had any border checks or all that we just drive thru good work ethic you present
That's why few American drivers want to go into Canada. They're spoiled by just trucking across the 48 states: no customs invoices, no customs brokers, and no border protection agents. Beautiful!
I wish all truckers were as prepared as you! I work for a customs broker as one of the service representatives you probably talk to. In your experience, I am curious to know which broker do you prefer to work with?
i find the particular broker who works with the documents is more important than the name of the company. i have good stories and bad stories and you'll find same company names in both. each day is different. thanks for what you do.
I appreciate your video but can you maybe explain what I need as a trucking company and as a driver to cross the border such as a passport or Canadian Authority
Great video! I guess the question is do you have a Canadian authority, a U.S. authority, or both? Is the customs broker that you are calling giving you a "trip authority/permit" to move each load? Thank you.
What personal papers do you have to show, drivers lic., passport???? When I worked for a USA big box trucking co they said your record has to be spotless to get into Canada. There talk'n about checking your whole life history. Do you know what it takes to be able to get into Canada as a US citizen? Have you heard any stories on this? Thanks I like your vids. They have been helpful. I though after awhile you'd stop but you keep on ticking!
Generally if you don't have a criminal record which includes DUI that's the one that gets most Americans, all you need is a Passport and if you're commercial then as the video shows all the proper clearances before you arrive. By the way if you think that is just the Canadian side you're incorrect as same requirements are in place. AEI for Canada and ACE for the States.
@@bobmartin7717 thanks for your response. US truck drivers have been waiting 9 years to hear on this subject. :) This has always been an bad to think Canada can get away with getting into US with a record. I have to ask, can Canadians come in to the US with a record? This would give Canadians more work in our country while restricting Americans from work on Canada & loads to Canada pay better than US loads. If Canadians can get into US with a record then US government must demand reciprocity. This said our existing criminal US government allows multimillions of Mexicans, etc., into US via illegal Aliens at the Mexican border. So Canada needs to let US drivers or anyone into Canada with a record! Thanks for finally touching on this.
@user-cr6cp8qn3k No like I referenced above the US side also does the same thing. When they ask questions at the booth they are looking at your record and seeing if the answers match. I get called in a fair bit as they're looking for someone with a similar name. Generally takes about 10 extra minutes as inside they can go deeper into the background and understand that I'm not the person they're looking for. Generally happens about 3 months then nothing for about 2 years then it starts up again

Thanks for a good video. Not a trucker YET, but was always curious about how it works for truckers.
Thanks Sergie for giving us insight into all the requirement for international trucking.

@tgtbtri were do you drive.. From your videos Serbia ??
the driver was not supposed to leave the shipper without a CUSTOM'S INVOICE. then there'd be much less mess.
