Tbh, as someone with professionally diagnosed ADHD, someone reading the ADHD mind may explode. Like thousands of thoughts racing at the speed of sound all at once. It's wild.
Jup im convinced i sometimes have parallel thoughts. I have something on in the background to listen too all the time because focusing on that leaves less resources to think and it more manageable lol
That depends on whether the mind reader has any control on the flow of thoughts they read. Like cable TV, you get the signal with hundreds of channels at once but only display one channel at the time.
I have to very much agree - the coffee machine that can dispense almost anything is my favorite SCP. Its sentient enough to be malicious is you don't treat it well, but can be amazingly helpful if you're nice. Things that make the reader wonder are always better than just another thing to be afraid of.
that one's really great, same for the Clockworks (the one that takes one thing and turns them into another). it has personality but is still just a machine
Man, I'd love to have a semi-sentient coffee-maker. Imagine having the perfect cup of highly caffeinated chai in the morning at just the right temperature. *YUM!* That thing would be *babied* at my place.
I love the section where a worker asked for a cup of medical knowledge and it actually worked. He was able to help his wounded friend and the knowledge juice wore off after two hours.

3:19 The "It's done" one on the sphere is ... grimm. You see: That is the Demon Core. Basically a sphere of plutonium 89 encased in tungsten carbide which reflects neutrons. If it is fully encased, then it goes super critical. Another experiment used a beryllium halfsphere, being lowered slowly with a screwdriver. If it fell down, then the sphere would go critical for a short period, giving off a flash and a ton of radiation ... guess what happened. Yup. The screwdriver slipped. A flash and then: Nothing as he yanked the beryllium off. The 9 researchers knew what just happened and that some of them may be essencially done for. Appearently one of the researchers said "It's done" as in: his life was over. They marked their position in the room with chalk to determine the dosis they just recieved. That researcher was Louis Alexander Slotin. He died 9 days later from acute radiation posioning in an absurdly painful fashion. Central nervous system shut down, burning sensation of the skin for the entire 9 day duration, internal bleeding, severe diarrhea, vomiting, swollen hands, erythema, intestinal paralysis, severe feaver and headaches and ofcourse: gangrene. That is: The decomposition of parts of your body as you are still alive. Radiation Dosis: About 1000 rads Neutron (10GY) + 1.8GY in Gamma.
Knowing about this made demon core memes a little uncomfortable for me when they first started. Like "you know those guys weren't incinerated, they died slowly and painfully, right?" I never actually pointed it out because I figured it would be rude and most people don't like fun facts that aren't actually fun. I'm also fucking terrified of people misinterpreting what I'm trying to say and ending up on r/iamverysmart or some shit when I'm just trying to make conversation or explain something or whatever.
@@0BucketMask0 Apparently, we have a certain Kyle Hill science video about the Demon Core to thank for the Demon Core memes. He made a lengthy video a couple of years ago explaining about the Demon Core experiment & what had happened to poor Slotkin & his associates. At least, the memes seemed to have started shortly after that video came out. People were even selling T-shirts with demon anime girls doing the Demon Core experiment on them. Kyle now has one of himself in a cute Loli outfit drawn anime style in the same pose as a joke.
I think the guy who was exposed to the largest amount of radiation outside of a nuclear blast was a guy in China or something that had been working with radioactive chemicals in a factory or something, he was leaning over a vat when a reaction occurred by mistake. The radiation he suffered destroyed his DNA, he was perfectly find to start, but because his DNA had been destroyed his cells couldn't multiply anymore. He got to the point where simply touching him peeled his skin off. He survived 80 days because medical professionals refused to let him die so they could study the effects of the amount of radiation he had absorbed. By the end he was wrapped head to toe in bandages because all his skin had fallen off and he was hooked up to machines because his organs were failing, his every waking moment was agony, and they had to put him into an artificial coma since he wouldn't stop screaming. He was finally allowed to die after the 80th day, his cause of death was a combination of massive organ failure and heart failure.

The demon core head scientist was a freaking bad ass though. The other people tried running and he yells at them not to move from their place. The danger had passed, so he figures in the split second of utter panic the others felt "No no, wait, we can calculate how screwed each person is if we know where everyone was standing" and then did it. Technically driving slower is the right call if someone is tailgating you. They have removed their ability to react to a sudden stop so you have to compensate by doubling your own stopping distance, which means you have to slow down.

So as for the context on that radiation meme. The researcher reportedly said "it's done" because his hand slipped when putting a screwdriver between the two halves of the demon core. The reason he says that is because he knew at that moment after the flash of light he would be a goner. He knew that he was going to die soon. He did eventually die not long after. The "I will punch you to the sun", Robin, is a European comic character named "Obelix" from "Asterix and Obelix". They're a duo of local boys (I think friends or brothers) from an old village named "Gallië" during the time when Roman's were trying to conquer the world to expand the Roman Empire. The funny part is that their village was one of those unknown places that most people would say "where?" when you tell them you come from there. But they often beat entire groups and sometimes even armies of Romans due to the fact that their local potion guy makes magic potion. Asterix is a small guy with a helmet with wings. When he drinks it, he basically becomes those one-man army. Obelix, on the other hand, is not allowed to drink it, because he fell into a cauldron of the stuff when he was little. He is this giant fat guy with insane strength already, presumably because of this. He also likes eating entire spit-roasted boars and when he sees a cake, he cuts off one slice, only to take the entire rest if the cake. They also have a little dog named "Idefix" They hate romans and have been to Egypt, Belgium and other places, beating up Romans wherever they encounter them. They have also beaten Julius Ceasar. Apparently, as seen in the meme, multiple times. They're really fun, actually. You should check them out for yourself if possible.

Bisexual and pansexual are pretty similar honestly. For anyone who doesn't know: Bisexual is attraction to genders like and unlike your own (despite the name, it doesn't necessarily always mean just 2.) Pansexual means attraction regardless of one's gender (Edit: someone in the comments added on to this) 12:13 I thought r/place was fun ;-; I never got to participate until this year and I was really proud of the Nimona pixel art I helped make
(Hello I’m a pan on a mission it seems lmao) It’s not really personality only! It can still be physical attraction based on what the person looks like, it just doesn’t matter to us what the person’s gender is. And for some bi people, that’s partly true too, but from what I know it’s like they close their eyes vs we just start off blind ig lol
The way I've heard it described (and I kinda go with this, it can also apply to omni and polysexual), is they're different enough for them to have their own labels but similar enough to where you can just pick the flag you like the most lmao
I'm bi and I've understood the distinction as like I kinda have a preference of the gender I'm attracted to even though I can be attracted to anyone whereas pan people may not have that preference. However, sexuality is a complicated soup that isn't always great to be boxed in so I just really like the flag colours 😂
Bisexual can also be "two or more" or "more than one". But really the distinction between labels are more personal preference and a bisexual and a pansexual can have the same experience but prefer different terms. I use both, but I'm also abrosexual.

Werewolf pregnancy: either 24.5 or 40. Explanation: 24.5 is half the difference plus the shorter duration. 40 is the longer of the two and clearly what would be required for the human half if being werewolf doesn't make that develop faster.
Minimum of 40 weeks, as the "human" component is the more complex aspect, especially in terms of brain development, which both humans and werewolves share. Assuming that becoming a werewolf is a natural phenomenon and not a supernatural one (and since we're talking about reproduction via pregnancy, that is a safe assumption in this hypothetical), there would be nothing about being born a werewolf that would shorten a normal pregnancy - at least not without adding new concepts to werewolfism outside of this hypothetical or commonly accepted modern day lore. Given that being a werewolf involves transformation to and from an animalistic form, it may even add 1-2 weeks, although the development of this transformative mutation could be during childhood development.
@@VoidAlien That would depend on whether natural-born werewolves are born with the ability to transform from birth or whether they develop it during childhood/puberty. To answer that question, another follow up question has to be asked: 1. Are werewolves their own species/sub-species with werewolfism being a genetically transferrable trait, or 2. Is werewolfism either a genetic defect or a virus that can pass from mother to fetus? In case of the former, it is more likely that the werewolf doesn't develop transformation until childhood/puberty largely from an evolutionary standpoint (not sure how strong an infant were would be, but a werewolf transforming and going berserk as it's being born is a danger to itself and its mother). I suspect that in this scenario, werewolves would have adapted to not transform during late stage pregnancies due to the complications transformation would have on mother and child, but I'm not a crypto-obstetrician In the case of the second scenario, where werewolf infants are caused by viruses or genetic defects, basically anything goes. There's no rational reason to state that you can apply the same set of logic (or at least as much logic as you can in this sort of hypothetical) - although I believe you are more likely to get transformations mid-birth if it happens during a full moon. T Given that werewolves are almost always depicted as adult (usually male, given that they're symbolic of carnality), any hypothetical scenario where werewolves populate through giving birth pushes me to favour transformation to develop around puberty, and as such have no impact on the birthing process.

I used to have acne that literally gave me migraines. There was all this fear mongering of acne meds, too. Eventually, went to dermatologist & needed spironolactone, a hormone adjuster/diuretic which is not scary at all (unless a transphobe, I guess, as its also used to help medically transition). Also started to realize that I had a soy intolerance, so I do have to do ingredients checks on every hair/skin product I buy & *try* to limit soy in my food (its really used in almost everything today, even milk chocolate & many margerines). Haven't had any of the deep cystic acne in years & only the occasional little zit if I sleep with post shower curl enhancing cremes/oils in my hair or eat too much milk chocolate.

I had fun when I tried designing my own scp. set out to make it weird and fun though it did turn out pretty weeby. I came up with either a guy turned into an ai of a space ship that was just standing their menacingly or an island based on Circe myth that basically had a colony of super powered women that would either turn everyone that came to the island to animals or more women. Both were only strong enough to defend themselves from attempts to destroy themselves
Smaller SCPs are definitely the most fun. My idea was an organ in some humans that had an unknown function, but caused increasingly erratic behavior in anyone who knew they had one, or had it removed.
The SCP I popped into existence is this human looking guy than can travel through electronic devices, but he’s pretty chill, unless he feels threatened.

Most professional option: pause, have him GOOGLE it on the spot or read the reddit response for clues (with or without making that known to the audience) and then redo the take with his response after he actually has one that's not "I don't get it" 😑 2. Neutral option: cut that meme from the video, and/or find another to replace it if you have to cut too many. 3. Funny but kinda mean: have a "counter of shame" that dings and goes up by 1 for each meme he's clueless about. Or any combination of the above, like 3 and 1.

They also have a little dog named "Idefix"
They hate romans and have been to Egypt, Belgium and other places, beating up Romans wherever they encounter them. They have also beaten Julius Ceasar. Apparently, as seen in the meme, multiple times.

Bisexual and pansexual are pretty similar honestly.
For anyone who doesn't know:

(Hello I’m a pan on a mission it seems lmao) It’s not really personality only! And for some bi people, that’s partly true too, but from what I know it’s like they close their eyes vs we just start off blind ig lol
@@SketchUT I've just been going off what I've been told by other people, thanks for explaining it a little more!

Honestly yeah with the pansexual one. Also if anyone was wondering the actual difference is that bisexual people are attracted to 2 or more genders and might have preferences and pansexuals are attracted to all genders equally (lmk if there's anything else in the difference that I forgot)
What No, monosexuals are into monoplanes, bisexuals are into biplanes and trisexuals are into triplanes, and pansexuals are into pancakes.
Pansexual is also more about the personality rather than the meatpuppets appearance

The “it’s done” quote of the nuclear meme is a reference to the scientist in charge of the demon core, it refers to the very moment the cores casing accidentally closed itself activating the core and instantaneously bathing the scientist in a fatal dose of radiation that would manifest as cancer a year later killing him.
Don't make shit up. Serriously. Googling the incident takes 2 minutes tops.
Not a single Researcher died from cancer a year later. Most died many years later of mostly unrelated diseases. Only one died shortly afterwards and his fate was WAY worse than cancer.
That is: The decomposition of parts of your body as you are still alive.
it's worse because he actually said "Well, that does it" and died 9 days later, it was two other people who died from cancer (and another two who also were irradiated but lived most of their lives)
silly little demon core things teehee
@@kennypseudo3541 And none of the other two died "after a year". Spanner14 lied about that.
Alvin C. Graves died from a heart attack 19 years later.
Samuel Allan Kline died 55 years later of unknown cause.
Marion Edward Cieslicki died from leukemia 19 years later.
Dwight Smith Young died of a bacterial infection of the heart in combination with aplastic anemia 29 years later.
Raemer Edgar Schreiber died of natural causes 52 years later.
Theodore Perlman died 42 years later, cause unknown.
Private Patrick Joseph Cleary died 4 years later in the Korean War.
_________________
Only Cieslicki died from cancer. It wasn't "two other people who died from cancer", only one and that one died 19 years later.
So:
1) No it was not two who died of cancer. It was one.
2) No it was not 5 people who got a radiation dose. It was 8.
3) No the "other ones" did not live "most of their lives". 2 died of unknown causes (because the medical records were not made public by them), 1 died of natural causes, 1 died in a war, one died of a heart attack and one died of a bacterial infection.
Google first. Then reply.
The scientist actually died nine days after being exposed to the radiation. Some of the others who were in the room with him also died, but later. Dunno if any of them got cancer from it, though.

If you reduce speed while being tailgated, you have more reaction time if something creates the need to stop, allowing you to stop more gradually and reduce the impact of being rear-ended. It can potentially be the difference between being hit by the tailgater and not.

2:00 apparently there have been at least 6 known cases of people in Peru just... having a natural immunity to rabies, for some reason. Normally barring the opportunity for the rabies vaccine before symptoms begin showing, Milwaukee protocol is used I think, which is pretty much inducing a coma to wait out the brunt of it. I'd have to look into it more but somewhere around 10 people have survived rabies after the onset of symptoms. Which still isn't a lot, mind you but it certainly botches the whole 100% fatality rate originally associated with rabies.
I get the "Lonely girl with a full comment section" ones... But she's probably looking for an actual friendship and/or loving relationship. Not being "bred" by some creep. Even if they look amazingly hot.
On the SCP one, I had an idea but I’m not sure if it’s been done or if it’s a good idea. Basically, it’s a rock that when touched will forcibly mutate or “evolve” creatures.
But would there be a difference between giving birth while its the full moon or not
@@VoidAlien That would depend on whether natural-born werewolves are born with the ability to transform from birth or whether they develop it during childhood/puberty. To answer that question, another follow up question has to be asked:
1. Are werewolves their own species/sub-species with werewolfism being a genetically transferrable trait, or
I suspect that in this scenario, werewolves would have adapted to not transform during late stage pregnancies due to the complications transformation would have on mother and child, but I'm not a crypto-obstetrician
In the case of the second scenario, where werewolf infants are caused by viruses or genetic defects, basically anything goes. There's no rational reason to state that you can apply the same set of logic (or at least as much logic as you can in this sort of hypothetical) - although I believe you are more likely to get transformations mid-birth if it happens during a full moon. T
Given that werewolves are almost always depicted as adult (usually male, given that they're symbolic of carnality), any hypothetical scenario where werewolves populate through giving birth pushes me to favour transformation to develop around puberty, and as such have no impact on the birthing process.

To answer the question at 1:35, if we find the average of 40 weeks and 9 weeks, we get 25 weeks. Saying werewolves are more human than wolf, we can put more strength o to 40 weeks, making it 30 weeks.

I wanna make an scp based off of the Omnitrix from Ben 10.
I had one based off a conductors stick and gramophone that was pseudo mind control.
I had one that I forgot but its posted somewhere on an scp video, somewhere.
Smaller SCPs are definitely the most fun.

And that person with the screwdriver standing infront of that thing ... is grimm.
That is the Demon Core. Basically a sphere of plutonium 89 encased in tungsten carbide which reflects neutrons. If it is fully encased, then it goes super critical.
Another experiment used a beryllium halfsphere, being lowered slowly with a screwdriver. If it fell down, then the sphere would go critical for a short period, giving off a white flash and a ton of radiation ... guess what happened.
Yup. The screwdriver slipped. A white flash and then: Nothing. The 9 researchers knew what just happened and that some of them were essencially done for.
Appearently one of the researchers said "It's done" as in: his life was over. They marked their position in the room with chalk to determine the dosis they just recieved.

To Voiceover/editors/producers:
- If the presenter/voice of your channel does NOT get a meme, you NEED to do one of the following;
1. Most professional option: pause, have him GOOGLE it on the spot or read the reddit response for clues (with or without making that known to the audience) and then redo the take with his response after he actually has one that's not "I don't get it" 😑
2. Neutral option: cut that meme from the video, and/or find another to replace it if you have to cut too many.
3. Funny but kinda mean: have a "counter of shame" that dings and goes up by 1 for each meme he's clueless about.
Or any combination of the above, like 3 and 1.
Seriously, nobody gets every meme, nobody knows every reference or fact, it's okay to look stuff up...
